  4. Hello peeps, I was wondering if anyone would be interested in Starting up a Rping SG base on JLA and/or Squadron Supreme. If so contact me at @BusSolarMast. We could come up with our own origin Story, perhaps build a base ect.

    So far we have a Superman/Hyperion Character in Solar Hyperion my fire/SS tank, and a Hawkman/blue eagle, so this what we are missing.

    you dont have to make a character to the T like they are in the comic for example i made a fire/ss tank, and my friend made a Stone/Mace tank, so if you feel you want to make a scrapper who is Dark melee Regen, and female you can do that all we ask is that you make them some what similar to them heroically. Thanks for reading and if you are interested Post here or send me a tell, we are also hope that you are a active player. Oh and our characters are freshly made to.

    Having a tanker in a superhero MMO isn't a great idea, no, but saying that "thus, both melee ATs should be one melee AT" is not really an improvement.

    It could be argued that tankers should have been bricks, with offense primary/defense secondary, and given melee powersets with the slow recharging heavy hitting attacks that people have wanted for tankers for a long time (and to some extent, already have). However, that doesn't really leave room for characters like Spider-Man, Nightcrawler, Beast, Wolverine, Batman, and the like - melee characters who are not bricks, and who are thematically quite different..

    God, tankers with mature offense never had trouble defeating enemies in a reasonable amount of time. Ever. Ever. Ever. I'm so tired of that canard. Yes, you had 70% base scrapper damage, but you also had some hard-hitting attacks in most of the secondaries. If you had trouble defeating enemies in a reasonable amount of time, you were neglecting your attacks and blaming game mechanics.

    And, scrappers could not tank as well as tankers. Never. Ever. Ever. Ever. That was never true, is not true, and never will be true. A completely reasonable argument could be made that they could tank well enough, and that I'll grant you.

Open up all the powersets to both sides, so an Axe/Regen character would become possible.     If you're going to get rid of tankers, make them into bricks or something. Don't bother to turn them into scrappers.

    [/ QUOTE ]Gotta agree. I was never a fan of the "make them one AT" thing. I just think that the two ATs were mis-managed. In actuality, I tend to see them reversed.

    Spiderman is more powerful defensively than he is on offense. "Scrappers", tend to be less powerful from the get-go than "Bricks", but make up for it with skill. To me, that means buffs/debuffs and relying more on all-on-nothing DEF-style defense.

    When Spidey gets hit, he gets hit hard. (Which is not to say any melee AT should have 0 RES inherently. All fighters learn to roll with punches.)

    Bricks are usually flat in offense and defense, and rely more on taking hits and shrugging them off.

    So, to me, Tanks should've been Scrappers, minus the criticals.

    Scrappers are the ones that should've had a more defensive leaning, with offense that started small and worked its way up (but not like a Brute's Fury).

    I also agree with this, I always felt that they messed up big time with the tank idea. I always felt that from wat I read in comics, guys like spidy, wolvie, beast, cap, and others rely on skill/defs, while supes, hulk, colosslus, and others, could take it but beat the hell out of you to. So if they ever decide to change than thats how I think it should be IMHO.

    Power Description: Solar Sentinal is able to harness the energy of the sun's rays and channel it in his body to make himself indestructible, and gives him incredible strength, this is seen when a fiery aura appears over him. He can also release that energy to generate heat around him ranging from 5,000 to 10,000 degrees celcius.

    Weaknesses: Zuns powers drops when he out of the sun for more than 72 hours.

    Origin: Zxsera Zun is an alien from the galaxy we call Solarisa-9. One of the imperial 9, nine guardians and protectors of the Emperor Ora and Solarisa-9. Each of them hand picked to be trained and to learn their full potential of their natural gifts (basically everyone from their home planets can do what they do, they are just chosen to use them for combat.) Solarisa-9 was considered one time a galaxy of peace and knowledge, but Emperor Ora felt that he should spread their culture and wisdom across the cosmos, even if it met force. So he did something that no other Emperor before him did, he made a Armada. In a short time the once peaceful galaxy turned into a warmungering culture. Led by his Imperial 9 Emperor Ora seemed unstoppable. Until Zun just couldnt take it anymore. Being ordered to destroy a undeveloped planet Zun turned against Ora. He challenge the entire Armada, and took them down single hand it. Ora furious sent out his other 8 guards, and a epic battle took place. Zun was Ora top warrior and he took on the other 8 head on. But it was 8 against one and although he battled hard, Zun was defeated. to escape he took one of his Armada's ships and took off. He would spend months in space before crash landing on earth. He was than discovered by the Shadow Miltia than leader Obscure. He was taken to their base and given shelter and time to heal from his wounds. being offered membership Zun declined feeling that he needed time by himself. He left wondering around the world expericing earths vast amount of people and cultures. Than it happened, Ora decided to strike Earth and our galaxy. With most of Earths heroes pen down, Tazerfist found Zun in Africa. he told him of the situation and Zun joining Siren's Cry, Sajitarius, and Tazerfist went up against the Armada, being led by Zun they easily defeated Ora and his imperial 8. Being ask to join Shadow Militia Zun agreed feeling that humans could become the next great society that he new in his galaxy and he would see fit to protect them as Leader of the Shadow Miltia.

  8. Hi Manticore Thanks man you have some good arcs.

    I have a couple of questions.

    A. WE know there are story arc tfs and timed mishes but if a player dont want to do a certain mish or fail a timed mish will there be consequences for a failing a mish for the entire city?

    B.Also will there be more AVs like Tub Ci and learn more about the family the Vazs and so on?

    C. Can we learn more about the Freedom Phalanx and some of its past members?

For me IMO if people are going to talk others about being professional than they should show professionlism first before they criticize anyone. Whatever happened to you show me respect and you get shown respect in return.

So with Horus gone, no story arc with the Brawler, CoH comic is now just like the mainstream comics, devoid of anyone of African descent. So while playing the game is great in that it allows for diversity, the same cannot be said of the comic.

    While it is free, I'll just be using it for fireplace fodder unless I see some changes...

    And for what its worth, I thought the first story arc in the initial comic book held truer to the game.

    I agree with you why isn't the Brawler with the team??? But at the same time I ask where is Numina, and Ms. Liberty, and the Woodsman, some of the other characters that we have know and loved?
