  2. I went over this arc with a fine tooth comb again today and think I got the last of the typos out (time will tell). While I was at it I made a few favor based text changes and tweaked Sherman's power set.

Been there, done that, got the tee shirt. Venture reviewed my time travel story Death to Disco! and had not a single bad thing to say about the time travel aspect or really about anything in the arc other than it being "short and underwritten" because it is a two mission arc (remember "5 missions is a short story"). The "review" was just a blow by blow of the arc and the rating was "it ain't half good and it ain't half bad" 3 stars.

Someone, others, not me of course, might say this rating was because it was a time-travel story. No Sir, not me.

  5. Death to Disco! might fit your bill since it is almost exclusively my own creations and it is based on an actually historical event (The Disco Demolition). Also, since I submitted it for the Official MA Awards I already have a lot of what you are looking for. Just lmk if you want to use it and I will send it to you.

    WN
  6. Will the current MA ratings system be modified or replaced with something that is more useful to both the author and players?

    WN
  7. All of the arcs in my sig are playable at your current level, however I would avoid Trademark Infringement because the boss is a fire tank and would be tough considering your build. Also, In Poor Taste is straight up comedy that is in very poor taste. As such I also recommend against anyone playing it ever.

  8. Updated Schedule:

Tuesday 6:00pm EST - Open Teaming, still not sure if I will be there.

Saturday Noon EST - Open Teaming.

Saturday 8:00pm EST - Open Teaming lead by OzzieArcane.

Sunday Noon EST - Open Teaming.

    WN
  9. This Weeks Schedule:

Saturday Noon EST - Open Teaming.

Sunday Noon EST - Open Teaming.

This week I am unsure if I will be around Tuesday so if anyone else would like to run the team that would be great. I am not sure if OzzieArcane has anything planned this week, but I am sure he will tells us.

  10. Today we had such good turn out we had to split into two teams for the first arc. We decided to select from new arcs recently posted here asking for feedback. We played:

Serious Business by @Artic Princess Arc ID: 339200

Healthcare Nightmare! by @Soberguy Arc ID: 345379

As usual we had lots of fun!

    WN
  11. The enhancement, inspiration and salvage racks in the MA Super Team base are for everyone's use. Any stuff in them are up for grabs as long as you can use it. As I have leveled I have placed some nice level 20ish+ SOs, IOs from nice sets I can not use as well as DOs and salvage in them. I have set everything so they can be used by anyone. A few, by mistake, were not set as such, but I have corrected this as of now.

    WN
  12. Today we had a great turn out and did a "Make It of Break It" run. The arcs we ran were:

Metabolic Invation Arc by @Blue Star Bolt Arc ID: 302723

Paragon City Mad Science Fair by @GadgetDon Arc ID: 254399

    Challenge of the Splendid Pals -- Episodes 1 - 3 (of 9) by @guvnor Arc ID: 159140

    One A Day

Thank you so much for the nice review. I am really pleased that you enjoyed my first stab at a drama/serious arc.

I know the fourth map has that one iffy spot on it, but it is so perfect otherwise I used it and just hope people do not have too much of a problem with it. In my testing an object spawned in that spot about 1 out of every 5 times. If I get a lot of complaints about it, I will see what other map I can find to replace it with.

Sorry to say you cracked up over nothing. Uber Alles means "above all" and it is a reference to Das Deutschlandlied, "The Song of Germany", which is the German national anthem. It starts "Deutschland über alles" which translates into "Germany above all". I always learn something new with every arc I write since I do research on whatever the subject of the arc will be. This is one of those things.

Again, thank you for playing the arc and for the review.

I have finally gotten it together and written a new arc. It is quite a departure from my normal humor related stuff as it is a drama involving the 5th Column. Having three humor based arcs and a humor/drama one I figured it was time to try and stretch my writing.

Here are a few pictures from the arc to hopefully pique your interest.

  18. Four of us showed up for what turned out to be a very short run due to the unforeseen maintenance tonight. We had only thirty minutes and ran my arc:

Death to Disco! @Wrong Number ID#:84420

It was run through faster than we normally do because of the limited time, but we did finish it with two minutes to spare.

  20. I am honored (I NEVER thought I would use that word when talking about this arc!) that In Poor Taste was selected as the Best Comedy Arc in the 2009 Mission Architect Player Awards.

This arc was not even really my idea. It was born one afternoon doing paper missions in Sharkhead when I was teamed with my husband and one of my sons. We pulled Manhandle as the boss for a mission and I spent most of the time we were playing it riffing jokes and innuendo type comments about his name. I said in an offhand way that I bet I could make an entire arc just from the off-color names the Dev's had let slip into the game. This comment was followed by both of them insisting I write the arc. I was really reluctant, but my husband even said that if I did not do it, he would. That spurred me into action.

This adventure of writing the arc had me researching farting, pooping and other off-color jokes which was something (big surprise) I had never done. I had a pretty good arsenal of them already having raised two boys (they are 18 and 20 now). I have to say that it was an education though.

I guess it is kind of ironic that this arc, of all my arcs won this honor considering I never thought the idea would fly. So, thanks to everyone who has played it, who nominated it and who voted for it.

  21. This Weeks Schedule:

Tuesday (Today) starting 6:00pm EST - MA Super Team Member Arc, we will randomly pick one of the member's that show up and they will get to choose which of their arc we all play. We did this last week and I know a lot of the people there, myself included, want the MA Super Team's feedback so we are doing it again.

Saturday Noon EST - Open Teaming. Maybe some of the Player's Choice arcs?

Sunday Noon EST - Open Teaming.

OzzieArcane, you have any planned teaming this week?

    WN
  22. Firstly, Bubba that you so much for creating these awards and for all the work you did on them. They were a huge boost to MA.

Second, Congratulations to all the winners and nominees.

The Awards introduced me to several arcs that I really enjoyed and otherwise may have never found. Some of these even became my number one choice!

The arcs I had nominated got over a dozen plays each and I know this even led to some of my other arcs not nominated getting played. Even Blappy, which did not fair well in it's category, got notoriety and a lot of positive exposure for it's nomination.

I really enjoyed playing with the MA Super Team several of these arcs and hearing the different approaches and criteria people use for judging. It gave me some new perspective on the arcs and on judging.

The Player's Choice was a great success and I really appreciate all the work that went into it. It was a great honor to have my arcs a part of it.

  23. Today we had a full team of eight members and a decent mix of heroes and villains. We played "Make It or Break It" which means we played only arcs that are currently rated 5 stars and have under 100 plays. The first arc we picked was:

Sister Psyche TF Abridged by @Big Rab Arc ID: 306814

It had 29 votes and was rated 5 stars. When we finished playing it had 35 votes and was holding at 5 stars. Two people decided not to rate the arc.

After this arc I had to leave, so maybe someone else could take over and fill in the rest of the run?

  24. Today we did MA Roulette. The way it works is that we randomly pick three Keywords and then hit the "One Random" button.

Ideal for Teams, Mystery and Sci-Fi got us:

Measure of a Machine by @Creed Buhallin Arc ID: 267757

Custom Characters, Origin Story and Kid Friendly landed us with:
