    Damn right, they're SHINY!

Actually, my favorite games are: The Silent Hill Series, the Legacy of Kain series, and my favorite TV show is Babylon 5.

    Why? Story. BUT.

I enjoy the story for what it is, a story. A tale meant to both entertain and teach. If you get wrapped up in the minutiae and the details, you lose the bigger picture, and in my opinion, you kill the entertainment. The point of the story isn't when this happened or when that happened, or what size that starship actually is vs. what this other source says it is. The point of the story is to move people emotionally, and teach them general truths about reality and humanity.

This is why media are forms of art and entertainment, and not textbooks.

You heard it here first folks, EU and NA server list merge coming next!

Which brings the question.... is there ANYTHING that we've been begging for forever that we're not finally getting after all these years? Dare I say...

You're one of those kind of guys that argue endlessly about the constantly changing styles of Klingon foreheads, aren't you?

I think that you have too much time on your hands. Time you could be wasting playing CoH instead of wasting finding problems with CoH.

It's a GAME, have fun. If you question your entertainment too much, it will cease to be entertaining.

  8. That picture has always bothered me.... because I can't seem to figure out rationally the shape of Cap's SPINE in that picture.

Is his spine in the shape of a question mark or something?
  9. If anyone could bend the world and have a taste, I'm sure States could!

Fun with Google Translate! Original text from Paragon Wiki:

    Quote:
Marcus Cole, aka Statesman, began his transformation from a poverty born child to world hero after serving in the U.S. Army during World War I. Instead of coming home in 1918 he headed east, bent on exploring the world now that he'd had a taste of it. Where he went and what happened to him during that lost decade remains a secret to all but Statesman's most trusted friends. What is no secret is that when his ship pulled into Paragon City port in 1931 he was much more than the young private who had shipped out to fight for freedom in Europe.
    To German:

    Quote:
    Back to English:

    Now to Spanish!

    Quote:
    Now back to English again!

Huh, actually not nearly as bad as I expected... hmmm...
  11. I wonder if the OP bothered to read the Defender Guides and FAQs, where there are literally over a dozen guides on Empathy Defenders... I wonder if he bothered to read through them and see if the things he is saying is already contained in those guides...?

    ...nah.
  12. Haven't they ever heard of Google Translate?
  13. That's some crucial information that you should have given us to begin with.

Other crucial info: Do you know what powersets your teammates will have?

This is the kind of stuff we need to know if you want us to help you.

You can't just walk into a diner and shout out "car!" without people giving you strange looks. You need context so we know what's going on.

Not one of my teammates ever complained and I never once got kicked off of a team. Also my team remained just as alive and healthy as they did on the builds where I DID take the ally shields. But you can believe whatever you wish.
  16. Yup.

Fun challenge for you though... did you ever try an FFer with all the powers EXCEPT the three ally usable shields? It's hella fun and like a whole different game. Much more interesting and challenging and requires a much higher degree of skill.
  17. See also: Power Radius.

You really just have no idea what you're talking about, Poppy.

Yes, and you're one of those that, in Narmann's words, is "doin it rong". That could be why you hate it. Just a tip there.
  19. Two benefits of Repulsion Field over Force Bolt: 1, you can do something else (like blasting) WHILE it's deflecting enemies and 2, it's autohit. That means that anything without knockback resistance WILL be knocked away, no to-hit check.

Also, you have to be right in the middle of a mob to "get aggro that you don't want" with repulsion field. It's acting radius is extremely small.
