Naw, he has his territory, I have mine. I don't want his "stuff", and I doubt very highly he wants mine.

I have created an application for creating and editing forum posts whether online or off, and since the people that frequent this forum are used to looking for bugs, I was hoping that you might give this a chance and see if you can "break" this program. I'm looking for any and all bugs, and I figured that asking you guys and gals would be the fastest way to locate any that might exist.

I'd appreciate your feedback, either here or by e-mail, and thank you in advance!

Version 0.6 is now released. Remember to always uninstall any old versions of a program before installing a new version. This new version has integrated fully GoldenAce's forum colors directly INTO the application itself, so no more need for a separate .csv file.

As a result, the only things that are installed into your computer are the program itself and the RichTextBox control into your windows system folder. Down from 3 files to 2!

Now if only I could find a way to put the Rich Text Box control INTO the application.... oh well.

Also, the install program is now a bit "cleaner" and it installs shortcuts to the desktop and the Start Menu and doesn't show the ".exe" at the end of the shortcuts anymore.

First minor bug found and resolved. Everyone that wants to use Powder Blue as a text color might want to uninstall and re-download the program again. I don't think I'll make a new version number for this minor bug.

ProTip that I just discovered, if you have a wheel mouse, you can wheel through all the possible colors as fast as you want to by clicking once directly on the drop down box itself.

I'd love to hear everyone's opinion of it once they try it out, and I'd like to hear especially about the bugs. I'm not planning on adding any new features for the moment until I'm confident that the current version is relatively stable. But I DO have plans, oh yes, lots of them.

I have made this because of how long it always seems to take me to make long posts and make/edit my guides, and because as of this moment, we still have NO CLUE when or if we'll EVER move to the new forums. Out of that frustration and frustration with the built-in online editor, I have created a more elegant way to edit and make new posts.

Why will this make MY life easier at least?

Many reasons:

<ul type="square">[*]I can add code into the MIDDLE of a post, unlike the online editor which always pushes code to the end[*]I can make my forum text ANY possible color with the easy to use Font Color Picker! (with special thanks to GoldenAce for his list!) That's right, ALL 142 colors in one easy to use menu![*]And, most importantly to me, I can edit the document and save it as a text file for future use or print it out. It even has an Always On Top button so I can browse and write at the same time.[/list]
I know what you're saying, "yeah, yeah, I can do almost all of that on Notepad". Sure you can, but this editor inserts code FOR you rather than having to type it all out! That is what I love about it.

So, how do you get to try out this editor? I'm glad you asked. There are two applications you need to install to run it. First, you must get the Visual Basic 5 runtime library. Then, you must install the actual application itself. That's it!

Where can you get them?

Well, lucky for you, I put them all in one place for you!

Included in that web folder is also a screenshot so you can see what you're getting before you download it. In case you want a direct link to see what the program looks like, here you go!

If you have no use for it, so be it. But I know I have many uses for it, so I figured I'd share it with the rest of you. Keep in mind, it IS a beta and hasn't been thouroughly tested, so it may have a bug or five in it.

I'd hate to bring up my guide again, but I do mention the secondary blasts in it and my opinion of them. The only two I left out were /Sonic and /Ice because they weren't available at the time, so here's my opinion on those:

FF/Sonic: Perfect pairing, ultimate defense + ultimate offence = win!

FF/Ice: Another decent pairing, but for another reason. With Ice Blasts "controllery" aspects and FF's knockback, and FF/Ice Defender could give a Controller a run for his money with how much control he has over a mob! Give it a try if you want to control without rolling a Controller!

I'll also add that to the end of the guide. Man, I should really update that thing, but I don't have that much else to say really.

Try to make use of it, it's already got hours and hours of people's time and effort invested into it, and the link goes to the latest "consolidation" update so you don't have to read the whole DAMN thing.

What most important, however, is that that thread is saved from the forum purge and Castle has the URL saved for further reference.
