Just rolled up a new stalker and been playing around with him up till lvl 24. Now im kinda wondering what IO sets I should take and how to slot this for maximum efficiency. I am looking to softcap as many defenses as I can and have a good recharge and endurance rate. I mainly play solo and I know there is a HUGE hole in the psychic damage defense. Any advice would be appreciated.

Blood Mandate is recommended mostly due to it being really cheap, it giving good all around enhancement values, and it giving good set bonuses as well. You can generally pick up the whole set for about 10mil in my experience.
You will want to find spots for the +5% def, +15% AoE def, and +10% res IOs. These are much more expensive, however. For good reason- each pet in Supremacy range receives those bonuses. You could probably slot two of them in Prot Bots (I don't use them for damage, purely support), and another in Drones. -

By the way, with the various bots...what IO set would you (or anyone) suggest? I hear blood mandate is good but I dont see a lot of Sovereign Right or any other Pet IO's. Are these not recommended? -

For Judgment- I'd say Ion, due to it hitting the most enemies.
Alpha- Are you going for he Incarnate soft cap? If so, Agility will help out. You'll find no use of recharge, really. Your Endurance should be fine. Accuracy is almost a non-factor with pet sets. Really you are basically free to choose whatever here, none of them help that much.
Interface- Diamagnetic or Degenerative for AVs/GMs, Reactive for other stuff.
Lore- All of them hit like a truck, just different sized trucks. Really balanced, just choose whatever looks nice. Though Warworks have the best AoE, Cimerorans have the best ST.
Destiny- Barrier helps for resistance, def should be good. I don't know how much Rebirth increases max health for pets, could be nice.
I don't know of any AVs that outright ignore def. Some might have higher acc, and a lot of def debuffs, but if you can hit the i-cap you should be good.
As for taking on GMs and AVs- the A-Bot has perma -1000% regen (Reppu's number)
I was going to take a look at Warworks myself, they seem to fit in with the theme im going for.
Really? the A-Bot has a perma -1000% debuff? Thats insane...crazy good but I did not know that! -
I rolled a Bots/FF toon and so far its really working well. Enemies can hardly hit my guys and taking down bosses (while slow..only lvl 28) is pretty much fire and forget. However, I know that when I get my final upgrade my damage is going to be nicer.
My questions revolve mostly around the end game content. I have little experience with the incarnate system (only got my WS his alpha slot a day ago) and aside from that not much else is known. I know MM's can do pretty well on the iTrials (mostly hear about the GOD AWFUL PET AI making things go wrong). However what incarnate powers would the forumites suggest?
Also, since Bots/FF is extremely passive with little debuffs coming from myself, aside from the assault bots -regen and the protector bots stuns, would this build suffer in end game? How many AV's ignore def making my bubbles worthless? Should I be slotting any specific IO sets into my Bots and FF's? -
At first I wanted to tell off Redlynne for posting without answering my questions. However I did find the links to be useful. Though I do think the post could be worded a bit more tactfully.
Pleaserecycle, thanks for that tip. I did go against a Tsoo boss that used fire attacks and it very nearly melted (pun intended) me. I do see your point and thanks for that.
Any build advice is appreciated however. A mids build that points out what IO sets to put where would be invaluable if not just for a springboard for my own build. Should I be frankinslotting or using entire sets in single powers? -
I just rolled a elec/nrg stalker and am sitting at lvl 22 at the moment. Could someone give me some advice on how to softcap his defenses along with IOs? Influence is not an option but please do not include purple sets right now as thats farther down the road and ill jump that hurdle when it comes. :-)

Thanks guys for the advice! Admittedly I would have liked to have the softcap on at all times but I guess that is impossible with this build.

I see, but does it offer softcapped ranged Def? I only see one thunderstrike and some LotGs but only for recharge.

I made a DP/time corrupter and now im wondering how I might get him softcapped for ranged def.? Is this possible? I know IOs will be neccesary but tips on what powers to take along with IO sets would be appreciated.

Can someone make a comprehensive I21 Human/Dwarf build WS guide. I play one and im kinda stuck with what I should slot for and get in terms of IO sets. Not to mention where I should put my slots and which powers to skip/take. I would like to be survivable solo as that's what my majority of time is but im not afraid to team.

I really wish they would fix the AI for ranged pets so they would stay as ranged. I hate the fact my Robotics mastermind was so fun to play before the AI got shot to heck and now...I cant play him to save my life. The Devs really are being lazy on this issue I think.

Sometimes when a char. zones the server or some such hasnt caught up to where the char. should be at. This translates to you being able to move (in my case) but no NPC's spawn and all the doors in the game have been removed (also might just be me). The only know way to counter this bug is by:
1. Teleporting to the D if you have the power to do so.
2. Logging out of the game.
3. Having someone use Teleport friend on you. -
As for DDO i betad that thing and for the most part it was...meh. But the one thing that turned me off from that farse of a game was the fact you could only rest inside a doungeon ONCE and only one time. Killed oh well...try again. Cant find a party? Your screwed. All of your magic gone? Too bad. I believe that if you could regen your magic and your health even slowly I would be more intrested in that game. Oh well. CoX has been my all time favorite MMO!

I've noticed with the cat ears on the males on test that even though you have the cat ears the human ears are still present on the head. This just looks...wrong. Just thought I would mention it.
