    Carnie Snipers?

Saw these and wondered who let the carnies become members of the NRA

    Carnies fed up with magic?

Either that or they just mugged some malta agents before I got there

The problem with creating mobs is that as soon as it hits live, there will be a mass cry to be able to save the enemy group you just created for future missions.
For now im going to be more than happy using the existing mobs

    [/ QUOTE ]

I agree with being happy with the current enemy factions Damz for other reasons too.

To be fair ill be satisfied with what we are getting so far, there is always room for updates depending on how successful it is in the first place.

(oh and your gonna upset FFM Damz, echo posting is his trademark..he'll be on you faster than a haphazard Worlds.com patent troller )
  3. Well if I recall correctly BaBs words were "I wouldnt wish that system on the players" regarding the cutscenes, but in the post I linked to the OP mentioned that too

He also commented elsewhere that in his opinion a lot of people would probably react with negativity regarding MA without realising the work under the hood.

Myself? ill be happy with editing the bosses only, I understand some folks wanting their own factions but I can see the reasons as to why not...double edged sword that one inmho.

My biggest point is the fact over the map picks, if as in the post - it does include the unique maps along with the 1000 that is rumoured to be in there - ill be happy, i'd love the map from jonny sonatas personal hell vill side/the carnie warehouse or the old disco one that used to be the nightclub before PD...etc etc
  4. Why was it that doesnt surprise me Tsumi, I cant wait to see your arcs

1- Tsumi v the Rikti horde
2- Tsmui v the Rikti scum
3- Tsumi v the Rikti invasion
3- Tsumi v the Rikti workers union
4- Tsumi v Moment from the malta (well he looked like a rikti...kill eeeeet!!)

Well you get the picture, your obsession with those flap nosed aliens is a little ....."intense" at times my friend (but in a good way)
  5. Well there was this snippet cactus

Writing well is always a challenge, and this won't be any different. You will be able to write breifings, NPC dialog, clues, debriefings, and souveniers.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Again this is not 100% confirmed but seeing as the compiled notes from the guys who attended herocon it is however interesting to see what they have come up with so far...

And I agree with FFM about the GMs availability.
As I stated the GM line was funny but as the OP stated to my agreement, its extremely doubtful that will make it to MA ....would have been great however to have seen that player-CW king ally versus 6 other CW kings...if just for pure comedy value
  6. Ok updating the list

  7. Found this on the US forums from a player who went to herocon, makes for a very interesting read.

    Mission Architect notes

    [ QUOTE ]

Enemies and allies can be pretty much anything you can already fight somewhere in the game. At the time of Herocon, even Giant Monsters were available for use in Architect missions. I inferred that Giant Monsters may change before launch however. One member of the panel commented that the day before they had fought against 6 AV Clockwork Kings with another one helping them in an Architect mission!

    [/ QUOTE ]

This ^^ made me chuckle and I agree with the OP that it will change prior to launch but was funny to read regardless
  8. Ok been reworking some of my main toons and will post their costumes in succession, first up however (all five costumes - the slideshow should work)

Indeed, taking your ST:TOS as a reflection of its time analogy, you seem to be ignoring the Romulans. If the Federation is America and the Klingons are the Soviet Block, then the Romulans are probably the Chinese, a secretive, reclusive, but very powerful force waiting to become more powerful yet.

Aha awesome Doc, again muchly appreciated

Still amazed the speed you got them done and the fact you did this as a gift for peeps...kudos
  11. Stretching lazily, Stryke awaited the group to depart, then walked over to where he had slung is large duffel bag, straightening his tie and creases from his suit, then running a hand through his shock-white hair.... he proceeded to follow the group to the awaiting transport, whistling some vague military tune out of key as he strode over to the awaiting technicians.
  12. brightened up my night for sure.....

HERO "you know how much the city pays me for capturing supervillains?...jack friggin squat"

VILLAIN "oh hold on...oh...do you have a black work boot in a size 11 sir?....bwahahahahahaha!!!"

    ...just epic lol

HERO "This is regulation hero grade spandex"

    ....still smiling now :P
  13. Well yesterday was quite busy for me, as I was helping a friend clear all his old missions so i could get the arc completed for him...so that adds another...will speak to sal today/tonight when I can get hold of him.

But in answer to damz, yes mate ive re-scheduled it, gonna make it the 1st of feb (sunday) this weekend is too close and the weekend after will be impossible to get folks together (dxp ) so with that in mind, and to give folks a chance to get set up.

Ok gonna start doing a call of who has the missions set and is in the process of it, and who is confirmed to be available

    1 - (me) - ready
    2 - Eros - ready
    3 - Hephaestion - ready
    4 - Adz - ready
    5 - Knightly - wip
    6 - Sal - ready
    7 - Fulcrum - wip
    8 - Lightnia - wip
    9 - Biscuits - wip
    10 - Judgement Dave - wip
    11 - Damz - wip
    12 - Saphi - ready/unconfirmed on the date
    13 - Energy Shot - wip
    14 - Rex - wip

Ok so far thats not a bad number, also Biscuits and dave mentioned they may have other friends with it, but with 14 its looking fine as it is, I wont sniff at more

So again anyone needing help with the arc, here is the mission/arc/contact

Contact - Crimson (peregrine isle can be given via indigo mainly or other contacts may push him forward...or can get him via papers/radios in PI)

Arc - Now this can be tricky, ok first I would check this link to ensure you are free of contacts that may block him from opening the arc.
Plus on that note, it seems that some of the new contacts seem to come under the same block as the RWZ contacts, which is annoying as they are in your list and classed as active even if you havnt even spoke to them, however percy winkly's arc is pitifully easy see here. And Daedalus isnt to hard either see here.
So once you have cleared your contacts be aware he may make you jump through hoops and allow his bar to fill before giving you the arc.

Missions- here is Crimsons list of missions now dont pay heed to the order in which they are...I had to do 6.1/6.7/6.2 before he opened the damned thing up

Ok so I hoped that helped and again looking forwards to the get together, and again...dont hesitate to pm me with any questions.

(oh and sal if you read this before I speak to you...any chance of a MOTD please bud)
  14. Nah torchwood just helped by providing a titan for the last get together, and by all means any extra help is welcome - if we are looking to push for the ten spawn mark I will need a few more peeps to prep a mission from the arc.

As I have stated I know there will be a big turn out from people just wanting to fight them, its just getting the spawners that is tough, im up to around 6/7 at the moment..so looks like the date for this sunday is off, and considering the fact that the weekend after is Dxp then a safe bet would be the 31st/1st as a weekend slot...so there is plenty of time yet.

Any questions crag dont hesitate to pm me ingame @stryke and cheers for the extra offer.
  15. Well considering the low response for mission holders in game, and that fact that only three have come forwards otside the sg..thanks to lightnia/salacious/knightly..

Ive decided this may have to be delayed not dropping it just holding back...we at union used to boast we have the best server but seems to me the event run for pure fun are becoming few and far between....... come on chaps its not about the grinding.

We have in my opinion one of the best, nay the best communities out there, we should be proving this on a regular basis.

So with that in mind I was hoping for a massive event to get the community buzzing - its what we need to be honest...but seems to be dwindling a little...which is a damn shame, maybe its the time of year, maybe its because folks are busy elsewhere, I hope so as I would hate to think our community spirit is on the decline.

Plus if Defiant can boast a total of nine with a lower Pop that says something about it.

    {Big Edit

ok ive had a crappy two days which probably explains the rantyish nature....
sorry bout that ill still run the event with what we have at the time regardless it should still be fun for all who turn up and a massive thanks to the guys who got their arc going.
And as i said i will still offer any help to anyone needing the arc setting up
    ...but i still stand by what i said...}

Obligatory Ravenswing post stating that this is clearly far more work than the OP appreciates.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    love it
  17. Looking around at the gathering crowd, stryke nodded to all the newcomers then looked back to Leah "hey miss, who we waitin for, lookin forward to gettin this show on the road"

Leaning back and folding his arms once more he smiled at the kid 'porting around "heh looks like im not the only one"
  18. ahhh I see your point now...I stand corrected me ol' mucka
  19. Well I have to add in here, and you will know Blitz from our arena matches..the RttC drop is still a major bugbear, ive got a really decent build on war yet any hit whatsoever that can knock it of...does...so even tho i may get -to hit its only when RttC stays on...which is rare in pvp

why UV isnt in the top ten but i know of them to be a good sg filled with great players...so its not all about positions.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Too much RP, I'm betting. But thanks. :>

    [/ QUOTE ]

No probs, well what I meant by that post (and horrible spelling mistakes aside) is the fact that...and lets use UV and the Art of War as examples.
Now as I have said AoW has been around since beta, and for a long while has had a massively fluctuating player base, so its fair to say there was a lot of teaming/grinding going on, plus we had the likes of Globey/Phil and Rooks before they set up a pure pvp sg for themselves, but as we stand at the moment we are purely a group of really laid back friends ranging from great old scholl players such as Eros and Fulcrum to newer additions such as Sparkie and Adz with a variety of game knowledge spread across the board from RP to PvP. We team every night and will do whatever takes our fancy, I for one like to spice up the week, ranging from heavy TF's, to mini pvp sessions through to fiddling with the base (its tough to decorate a full plot size but is looking rather spangly - Eros is probably the best base builder I know) and the occasional player events for the server to enjoy.

Now with UV, from what I knowledge I have of them (i dont know your history as to how long you have been active chaps so wont make assumptions) is of a collective of good players with a wide knowledge of the game and are essentially a friendly bunch they run good RP events and play the game to their strengths.

In my opinion just because we are in the top ten on union doesnt make our SG any better than UV or anyone else for that matter.

To sum it up I treat SG's like I treat AT's - its not the fact of who has more (prestige or builds) its the players in control of the aforementioned catagories that make an SG good, so although its nice to have a table showing top sg's I agree that there should be other factors that you could list them other than just prestige.

    thats my two penneth anyhoo
  21. [ QUOTE ]
I've participated on these gathering on Defiant and what usually happens there is the mission holder completes the mission, then TP's to PD to meet up. Once all are there, they exit into KR, where all toons can get into. The titans will then spawn in that zone.
Not sure if ouro works in the same way, but I'm guessing it may well do.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Or the easier way is to have the mission holder leave the mission as it is, then all gather at the specified location, (its between kings or perez atm but kings is easier to access) then auto complete the mish..thats how we are doing it, its how we did it on sunday with just the three.

However anyone who needs the mission completing can get someone to complete for them, then have them TP over..

Cheers for the suggestion tho mate

And Sal ill make it between 7/7.30pm sunday, saturday eve is a no go for me atm.

So this thing is shaping up at the moment we have 6-7 mishes fully prepped and are waiting on more...so if you dont have the crimson worldwide red arc but still wanna bash a pack of titans, turn up this sunday at 7/7.30pm in front of Blue steel...will see you there hopefully chaps...again any questions PM me
  22. Aye seems to be an ongoing fluctuation between Art of War and The court...but to answer previous posts, AoW for exampple have been around since beta, and are still going strong, so it is fair to say that such as us/the court..the handprints..clean and dirty..the horde etc etc who are alos long standing and still active, deserve to be up there, but on the other hand we dont see it as competition, why UV isnt in the top ten but i know of them to be a good sg filled with great players...so its not all about positions.
  23. Well, stumbled across this today and lol'd a little

    linky

And in related news this Update .....and a special reference goes to this part

NCsoft takes all legal action seriously -- even if the company believes a lawsuit has no merit

    [/ QUOTE ]

Well heres hoping for a good outcome for NCsoft and the MMO community as a whole.

(edited the original pic to remove the language...just in case it was offensive)
  24. Well not sure why you never got him tbh mate, forst of all was it tehe "worldwide red" story arc?...and also was it the "stop wildflower agents" mission?..(number 9 and its a kill all with a npc to free at the end)

The other big thing is to remember that the "leader" is not the one who needs to be in the zone you want to spawn..but the mission holder. But to make yourself sure, always make the team leader the one with the mission

Kronos can be spawned where ever the mission holder is, as long as it is not in any of these zones:

    Any PvP Zones
    Any Hazard Zone but 'Eden'
Any Trial zone but "The Hive"
    Galaxy City
    Atlas Park
    Pocket D
    Ouroboros

So again not sure why it didnt work for you mate, but if youre up for trying again on a bigger scale?..well we are looking for this weekend now, should get enough peeps together.

PM me ingame @stryke mate, or just ask here, gonna start a list of who has the arcs set up and ready when im back from work tonight
  25. GM's are far from hard, other way in fact, a good team can take down the Jack / Eochai combi easily...a team of six took down adamastor with ease, Col.Blitz was there for that, was pitifully easy lol...and from my earlier post, a team of 2 took down 3 multi spawned titans on sunday night...if anything they need to be harder
