Quote:Yeah, I just use the tickets for orange salvage mostly and the occasional random roll.In AE, tickets concern me more than XP at the moment. I have a 35 scrapper who will have XP turned off on the 9th bubble so that I can get plenty of salvage or random recipe rolls in the level range that I like my sets in. I could buy them, but seeing common salvage going for 100k apiece sometimes bugs me too much to do that.
Now, if we could get the Devs to give us our set bonuses no matter what level we Exemplar to, things like this would not seem necessary. -
AE is still being farmed....for tickets more-so than XP now.
The difference might be not everyone in Atlas is aware of the mission # that some farmers are now using since it can be done solo w/o the need of fillers. So the good farm missions arnt being broadcasted or shared among the community. -
Nothing special for me...just farmed for tickets/influence.
I think I got 8-10 lvls on my stalker. -

+RECH proc cant go in that build.
[/ QUOTE ]
Woah, there is a proc for +rech? Am I shopping at the wrong WW's? What is it called?

I've teamed with War admiral. He was a good team kin.
I've farmed with wonka. He farms well, to say the least.
[/ QUOTE ]
I think you've played with my /fire build.
You should see my /stone in action.
Fissure DMG + Stuns = lots of win -
[ QUOTE ]
No offense War Admiral, but both your builds seem a little whacked to me, why only 1 slot in Fulcrum Shift? And where is the +Recharge?
Mine is Fire/Kin/Psy, has perma Indomitable Will and Hasten, chops the recharge of accolades from 25 minutes down to only 5, and touches maximum recharge frequently.
The proc in Psionic Tornado is pretty much a guaranteed to go off every mob and lasts for 6 seconds and Psy Tornado is back up in 4.
[/ QUOTE ]
Because after playing my kin for such a long time, I've found that's really all thats needed in FS if you have a decent amount of global ACC and RECH. It stacks...and it doesnt take that much to cap your dmg so having more RECH than needed is a waste. I've found that around 80% global does great.
In the /fire build, I dont have the +RECH proc. In the /stone build, its in fissure slotted first where it should be.
Without additional buffs, you do not have perma hasten. You need 105% global for that. But with the FF proc and siphon speed, you do....as do I. I dont find going way over the amount needed an extra bonus but rather wastefull.
My /Stone build is untouchable. I walk around soft capped on smash/lethal and now with EE, I also maintain max HP.
There are some holes in the /fire build, but its not that bad. I played it for months and months and never felt like I was missing on much of anything. Unfortunantly, the +RECH proc cant go in that build. -
[ QUOTE ]
Hes been playing on this toon for about 9 months, pretty sure hes not a noob.
[/ QUOTE ]
I dont think they're talking about me...
If they are, then oh well. There's plenty here who have farmed and played with me enough to know better. -
[ QUOTE ]
Hey War_Admiral,
One dumb question.
Is your three-slotting of Stamina really optimal? With the +End proc already in there and Transference, you're looking at monster recovery as it is. No place else that you could eke out a little "somethin' somethin'"?
[/ QUOTE ]
I went 3 for the health bonus. If you didnt want that many, you might move a slot or 2 to FS or Siphon speed or anywhere else you feel needs an extra boost. -
[ QUOTE ]
Yea I have seen them in WWs selling extremly high!
But my luck with drops is a bad one, while I was in zones farming for hours, peeps on team were getting yellows and oranges, i was getting greys and whites ;{
[/ QUOTE ]
Last night I looked and they were going for around 100M
If by chance you do multiple respec runs tonight, I'll be home around 6:15-6:30 PST and have a few heroes that I could bring along. If not...no worries.
We use to do these respec tfs as a SG all the time but havent dont them in awhile....probably cause once you're in the reactor, its boring as hell! But its easy merits! -
Anytime
Just remember if you're going the */Stone build....in regard to boxing.... Whether you put Kinetic Combat or Touch of Death in there, look for the cheapest IOs available. Since you'll never use the power, you just want them for the bonuses. So getting 40s (Touch of Death) or 35s (Kin Combat) isnt needed. Just find the cheapest pieces possible...
I guess that's a good tip for any set mule power that is never used -
1 last thing about the */Stone build....If you want it to be only for farming....
- take hasten in place of speed boost at 22.
- take 2 slots from boxing and put in hasten...leaving you 4 in boxing. Replace Touch of Death with 4 Kin. Combat IOs
- take EE at 49 and slot with 3 rech IOs
Then you have your smash/lethal soft capped with a way to max out your HP or if needed another powerfull heal.

[ QUOTE ]
uh, you may wanna let these ppl know that you dont only use war for farming..
[/ QUOTE ]
It would be a mediocre build at best for doing anything that's not a farm involving enemies with smashing/lethal damage, but that's what dual builds are for.
[/ QUOTE ]
Looking at both builds side-by-side suggests to me that the Fire/Kin/Stone should be able to handle anything the Fire/Kin/Fire is capable of handling. The only difference being is the */Fire offers more smash/lethal resist and global accuracy.
The */Stone has the */Fire killed in defense and max hp without losing much in terms of acc and rech. Maybe I'm missing something?
Personally, I think a lot of a fire/kins survivability comes in knowing how to play the toon rather than what resist/defense he's built around. -
[ QUOTE ]
uh, you may wanna let these ppl know that you dont only use war for farming..
just a thought.
[/ QUOTE ]
I think I've made mention of that....
I said the fire/kin/fire is more a teaming/farming build. Obviously any exclusive farming build wouldnt have SB or ID. If the Fire/Kin/Stone works out to be effective in everything I do, I'll just scrap the fire/kin/fire all together.
Which would b e great due to the billions thats tied up on the build! -
Here's the Fire/Kin/Fire
Now...this is a build I used for farming demons long before AE came out and this is the build I currently use to farm until my Fire/Kin/Stone is complete. It doesnt have as much survivability, but its damn good and probably costs 2x as much. Its more or less a teaming/farming build rather than being a exclusive farm build

Yea dude....thanks lol above though someone already posted so I went to troller forums
I only wanted to reply to Wars build, and yes, mainly boss farms LOL I love AE! until it no longer loves me ;(
[/ QUOTE ]
I took this into a lvl 50 boss farm last night and wasnt touched. Tonight I'll try some higher levels to further test the build, but I doubt I'll see too much difference. Its hella sturdy. -
[ QUOTE ]
Ya know, when someone above pointed out that I should check the troller section, i did.
I already saw your posts and had a few questions.
1) Boxing, why? lol have to ask because most our powers are AOE and boxing just seems.....on the lower end of dmg? lol sry but I had it on Captain Blaze in the past and it never did all that much dmg so I left it blank over slotting.
2) Fire Cages, I know Immob is the need, but this power does do some decent dmg as well, would it not be a good idea to have some +dmg in there to scrap the set bonus? Or atleast, is there any IOs with +dmg and immob?
3) Flashfire, same thing as above, I myself have dmg in Flashfire, Fire Cages and Fireball (Will have Ragnaroks in a few years or so) because the do IMO leet dmg.
4) Fulcrum, only 1 slot? but 5 into Boxing? I would have guessed IOs with +Rech/End Mods or something wrather then nothing at all.
But what I am sure of, is the fact that I am missing the overall needs for these set bonues. I just look at 2/3 AOE dmg powers not being used as AOE dmg, but holds and immobs. I would thing an IO or two for Holds/Immob but Cinders be the true non-dmg power.
Dont get me wrong, I am NOT knocking your build, just trying to understand it a little lol rather learn then be told.
[/ QUOTE ]
1) I have Boxing slotted up as a mule for the Touch of Death set which has some nice bonuses including Melee defense @ 6. I don't use the power at all. Infact, I dont even have it in my tray. If you didnt want to slot it up, you wouldnt have to. This is totally optional.
2 & 3) All your +DMG will come when you hit FS so I didnt find it too necessary to slot dmg into either firecages or flashfire. The only reason I have a DMG set in hotfeet is for the +ACC and +RECH that the purple set provides.
4) Once the build is complete at 50, having 1 +RECH IO is really the only thing that's needed in FS. Since this power stacks, you should be pretty close to DMG capped at all times assuming you move fairly fast from mob to mob. You get your +ACC from the global the build provides. -
lolol...no!
If it werent for the grumbling I would hear from the SG mates, I wouldnt have SB at all! :P -
Here's the Fire/Kin/Earth build....
You get softcapped smash/lethal (44.4%) and about 20% melee defense. 75%ish global Acc and Rech.

I'll post both my fire/kin/fire and fire/kin/Earth build here in a bit. The Fire/Kin/Earth is still a work in progress but I did manage to "test" the build last night after slotting all its defense IOs and I find it a lot better than the fire/kin/fire build.
Neither build is cheap...so get to saving! -
I'm done...you virtue fanboys are something else. lol...
If nothing else comes of this, I'm glad people get to see how some of the people on virtue play this game. Pretty damn sad if you're associated with it.
You guys are full of win!
Toodles -

For the record, we do TFs every night. Farming is just something we do in the meantime while we wait for everyone to get organized.
It wasn't about acting cross. It's about being open. The whole entire point of you coming was to show that Fire Ball isn't lolbosses...and that other builds are actually possible. We weren't going to sit there PLing your character while trying to persuade you with something you clearly weren't going to be changing your mind about. Say what you want but in the end...it was really a lost cause
[/ QUOTE ]
I had no intention on keeping that character. I even told him via tell that I was deleting it after we were done.
Nice try tho....know before you speak. -
[ QUOTE ]
Why does "challenge" matter? This isn't an epeen measuring contest. Farming is all about the influence/tickets to time ratio.
[/ QUOTE ]
Because thats how we ended up here.
Someone claimed he could solo farm 52 bosses. I wanted to see it for myself. Whether or not you think that matters....doesnt matter.
Like I said, I would have been the first one to admit I was wrong. And I'll say that 50s were no problem what-so-ever.
Too bad he had to be a dick and not let me watch him with higher levels. -
I'm done with you kid. You're not worth my time.
I was there to watch and see your build and how it performed. Once I questioned how you farmed, your response was kicking me from the team.
Never was I insulting, never did I say anything cross. You just kicked me for no good reason.
Go farm with your fanboys. You won't hear from me again. -
Seriously....there's some gross nerdrage on virtue. Never will I go back.
I entered farm, and watched him kill 1 mob. I proceeded to tell him 50s and 51s obviously would not present a challenge. I then asked if he could switch to 52s.
Finally, I was preached to about how farming works (lol) and since I dare questioned him, I was kicked from the team.
Awesome.
Stupid punk....
