Quote:You are totally awesome, thanks oodles. I assume that I can find the broker just by looking at the map.If you're redside, head to Port Oakes and go to your broker to get a newspaper. Start doing them, then after a bank heist they'll introduce you to a new contact.
Blueside, head to Kings Row and meet up with your detective to get a police scanner. Same thing. Blueside though your contacts introduce you to other contacts, so you don't have to keep going back.
Both the broker and detective should be the icon on your nav menu when you first enter the zone. -
Hello everyone.
I am a new player, and after trying out a couple of different builds, find that I can gain early level exp MUCH faster simply by smashing everything in site out on the streets. Now I am level 7, and have not done a single mission yet. If I want to unlock brokers and other quest givers, do I have to go back and follow quest lines from my first contacts, or is there some other way to 'hop on board' the storyline?
Am I going to wind up missing out on valuable rewards for skipping so many quests?
Thank you for any help! -
Hello everyone.
I am a new player, and in the last three days have experimented with a Mastermind, a Dominator, and a Brute.
Now I have the dilemma of having to choose one to actually play through. This is a very difficult choice for me! Each does an excellent job of giving its own brand of 'super-villain feel'. I love the pew pew pew of the dominator, the shambling deadly henchmen of the Mastermind, and the bestial kill frenzied smashing of the Brute. They each really do have their own flavour and playstyle, and I am finding it very difficult to choose between them.
To 'help' me in my quest to settle into one role, I thought I would ask the community for thoughts or stories about their own characters, and which class they like to play the best. I would very much appreciate any thoughts you have along these lines.
This may seem a strange post for the PvP forum, however, PvP is my ultimate goal. Once you hit the level cap, PvP is the only thing that matters, and the main reason I play these games, so the PvP community's thoughts are the only ones that really matter to me.
Thank you for any response! -
Now, I just started playing, but already as a Mastermind, it seems that Pain might be the best possible route to go, as I do not have a lot of power against other players in my own self. Since I have to rely on my minions, healing myself to keep the army as a whole alive seems paramount.
On the other hand, with poison, I have many ways of weakening and stunning my foes... I just can't tell which will be most effective at a later date.
Can anyone give me some advice?
(I am determined to use the undead as my summons, by the way. I love the undead, and just can't keep away from them) -
Hello everyone.
I am just starting a trial of this game for the first time (I was in the Champions beta, but did not like it, so I thought I would give this a try).
I am almost certainly going to play on the side of villainy, and am trying to do some research on viable pvp builds, but most of the information seems to be 404'd or hopelessly out of date.
My PvP goals are to play similarly to the 'Affliction Warlock' class in WoW (for those of you familiar with the game/build). I would like to be able to spam out DoT effects on multiple players in mass PvP, and be able to give myself some sort of movement advantage to keep myself out of range while the DoTs take effect. I am open to either stunning/locking skills or speed buffs to myself to control the distance of the fight. It would also be nice to have some sort of shielding/healing skills to keep my survival up.
In this sort of PvP environment I enjoy being the 'evil support' class, where I can spam out a large number of DoTs and debuffs on a mass of enemy players. I would also like to be viable in 1 on 1 PvP, as everyone gets jumped from behind eventually.
If these goals are possible, I would greatly appreciate the communities advice on how to achieve them.
Thank you for your time.
