- Elite Energy Cannon (same as the Sapper.)
[/ QUOTE ]No way to get this in game, yet[/LIST]
[/ QUOTE ]
Um, Is this just for Heroes? Cause my Villain Group HAS an elite energy cannon in the base. I built it, and its got several aux items hanging off it too.
Yes, it is elite, not improved or normal.
[/ QUOTE ]
Picture please? -
Works for me! Thanks.
[ QUOTE ]
but the sheer amount of confusion and complaints this has caused has made us go back
[/ QUOTE ]
Last thing, but can we get this same sentiment applied to the Marcone Boss, Family Boss, Strike breaker, Strike Buster, Cage Consortium, etc badges too? -
[ QUOTE ]
Because they are spawned from a Portal
[/ QUOTE ]
What masks are spawned by a portal?
They are in a "portal mission", but there are no actual portals (ie, Behemoths, Rikt, etc) in this particular mission. -

Positron, can we please get a clarification on whether the plus hp from accolades is counted towards the damage badges?
[/ QUOTE ]
I don't know the exact mechanics of the code, but from what I do know there is no reason why it shouldn't be.
[/ QUOTE ]Even though that wasn't really a clarification.......What about for healing badges?

FUTURE PATCH: Portal Generated Banished Pantheon Spirits will count (they were not before).

THIS I thank you for Positron. Is there any way to award this to characters that would have MORE than qualified for the badge by now? It's been one of my pet peeves for the longest time. Either way, thanks for fixing this one.
[/ QUOTE ]
Sorry, no.
Basically the game only stores counts for what we tell it to count for. These Portal generated guys have never been counted for anything before, so everyone's count on these guys starts at 0.
[/ QUOTE ]
It seems this part of the code, where enemies that should be part of the same group actually aren't, even though they are identified exactly the same, causes a lot of problems. Maybe it's due for a rewrite. Making it simpler, ie so a BP mask is always a real BP mask, sounds like it would help.
[/ QUOTE ]
What's funny........is that we have been told by Rednames *and* support for a long time that they didn't count because they were in a "different dimension".

I know for me this will be a great boon! I can't count the number of times I've been in some out of the way zone- Crey's Folley or Eden, finished my mish and called my contact: great, now I've got to go to Atlas. Argh! But this change would allow MUCH faster travel without having to do the dreaded green line/yellow line mambo.
[/ QUOTE ]
Interesting notion...does Positron's response mean TP *to* all zones, or TP *from* all zones (the blue swirly columns).
I took it to mean Base TPing *to* (mostly) all zones from the base only. Hazard zones would remain without the ability to TP to the base. -

Just wondering... shouldn't the "siphon life" power count towards the heal badges? I mean - it is a self heal like other powers, it just requires a mob to be nearby...
[/ QUOTE ]
Self heals do not count toward the healing badges. But isn't Siphon Life the Kinetics power that heals in an area around the targeted mob? So if it heals someone else, yes, it should count. If it's just healing you, it wouldn't count.
[/ QUOTE ]
Siphon Life is just a self heal, nothing like Transfusion.
So no, it doesn't count for the badge. Though I wouldn't mind if self heals did count -

Cool you guys found one of em. Keep looking though, the biggest Grandville easter egg has yet to be found

Its the rogue dev redname! Quick..send out the Cuppaball to capture it and evolve it into Mapolis
[/ QUOTE ]
I agree, get a red name! -- or better yet, be revolutionary, get a different colored name!

An artsy name ? -

They must really like him.

Or, as with most artists, he really likes himself.

There isn't always a prisoner in the jail. Every Mayhem map has a jail; they just aren't always occupied. This is more true for the the Mayhems prior to at least the Brickstown levels.
You'll know for sure if there is a prisoner by the "special" mob text mentioning a named NPC (you don't even need to defeat this mob group to get into the jail). -
I'm pretty sure we all know MoG is the exception to a LOT of design implementations.
-
Souvenirs are a 2nd tab under the "clues" window. The souvenirs are awarded after completing an entire "story arc"; story arc being a usually longer string of missions from the same contact.
Clues are dropped during missions and may or may not be part of a story arc; story arc clues are much longer and give a summary of what you have done/learned so far in the story arc. -
It's still listed in the "known issues" page as not awarding properly.

"You've spent considerable time with a lackey of your own."
"You have destroyed the Kronos Titan, showing Malta that you are a force to be reckoned with."
[/ QUOTE ]
OK, from now on, when people mention text bugs for this list, I think they should quote the text to avoid this happening again.
[/ QUOTE ]
I had brought up the Kronos badge for a villain before. Text was the exact same for Heros (did Hero side get changed?) and while I don't remember the exact wording at the moment, it did mention "Hero".
It definitely got changed (with I7? within the last 2 patches?). -

It highlights fine, just seems to lag? Can't quite put my finger on it.
Avant browser, IE-shell
[/ QUOTE ]
strange... Hank tested it with Avant, and didn't see that (that i'm aware of). does it always lag, or just like the first time you load the page? jeez, that background image file is about 200 bytes, it shouldn't take any time to load at all...
[/ QUOTE ]
Continues to happen well after page is loaded and if I come back to it after going somewhere else.
Maybe it is doing the intended effect?*shrug*

Dunno if I like change
It's evil-looking
Only issue ATM is the mouse over/highlight for the menu seems a little flaky? -
Where is this guy? Stupid lackies always disappearing.
The calendar "title" length is gimpy short when looking at the calendar. Also doesn't appear to like spaces in the title? But not sure since it's so gimpy short.
I would rate this as a 9 out of 10 on the "do this to please Voodoo" scale. -
The separate loading of a bindfile is what I'd like to avoid.
-
Not sure on HOW to search for this, so I'll just add here
Can anyone explain the use of "+" at the start of a command? I'm quite familiar with binding, macros, etc. Am looking for a technical description of what the + is doing differently than just a regular key-press bind.
Example (roughly) of something I have: numpad1 "+ $$teamselect 1$$powexec speed boost"
Hitting numpad1 selects teammate 1, and then gives them speed boost.
I'm interpreting the "+" to mean "when the button is pressed, do this stuff", but also, meaning that if there was a - bind, it would read "when this button is RELEASED, now do this stuff".
If I take out the + from my example, the bind still works the same way (or so I'm pretty sure the last time I tried it out). So what is it really doing?
What I'm hoping to do is "on press" of X key, do teamselect > apply power....but also, "on RELEASE" of the same X key, do this other power (like Increase Density). All in one bind line without having to rebind the X key by use of a separate bind file.
Am I just putting too much weight on the "+" part of it? Maybe just change my thinking to "while" the button is pressed down, do this stuff? I can't seem to get the - aspect to work to my liking. -

I'm not sure I'd expect this to keep working like that for very long
Sounds like something they hadn't thought of.
[/ QUOTE ]
Or it IS something they've thought of, and that's why Doms are so lackluster overall? -
At first, I was secretly hating the OP for his color choice. But it only took me a second or two to adjust, and I read it just fine.
The kicker? Reading the first reply was like staring at the sun after walking from a dark room. Was quite a shock
OP: Nice write up. I had a Ninja/TA in beta. I LOVED ninjas, but hated TA. I got burnt out because of TA and didn't remake a Ninja MM for live. I have plans one day though, and your write up pushes me a little closer. -
[ QUOTE ]
So a noob question: when I have the choice between 2 contacts, is there any possible way to eventually get them both as contacts and run their story arcs? Or is it a once-and-for-all sort of deal?
[/ QUOTE ]
From a broker? If so, once you do the missions for a broker, and then do the mayhem mission (fail or succeed), you get to select your next contact.
Pick whatever one you want, and now you can do this new contact's missions, any other contact's missions, or more broker newspaper missions. Once you do 3 or 5 newspaper missions and another Mayhem mission, the Broker will offer you another contact if he has one available to you; it will be one of the ones you didn't choose last time. Can go ahead and pick one of these now.
Contacts are offered based on the level of the missions they give and if you are within that level range.
It's not a "pick one and only one forever" type of deal.
