  1. It's been a while since I looked into PB builds, but at a glance this build looks pretty sound, I would get swift instead of hurdle as swift can take another flight speed enhancement and is essentially a free slot on your flight power which will help you save a slot for something else.

The shields are possibly wasted depending on how often you use your dwarf form, AFAIK the shields don't carry over when you shapeshift so if you only use teh dwarf form to escape mez's then I'd keep them, otherwise maybe distribute the slots elsewhere.

    I hope that helps
  2. I'm really liking the pain set on the test server it's pretty neat as it is, I kinda feel that anguishing cry will be a bit redundant depending on what primary you take. I also wouldn't mind an end boosting power in there as well, similar to recovery aura in the empathy set? would be a nice balance seeing a the set is very end hungry in itself especially when you mix it up with some of the primaries.
  3. At the end of the day it's a matter of personal choice, a player can take taunt because they use it effectively to pull mobs away or they feel it's a useful power and they'll use it. Whereas others may choose to skip taunt and find that they're taunt aura holds perfectly well. Personally I've skipped taunt on my INV/SS for concept reasons, My character isn't the sort to draw attention to herself, although she'll take hits for the team anyday. Also I believe that there are more interesting powers to take instead, I could skip taunt and get an extra passive for defence of invest in a few more ancillary powers. It's really just a matter of choice and personal taste, you don't become a bad tanker because you chose not to have taunt.
  4. I'd drop punch so as to free up a power that can be better spent elsewhere. I've chosen to slot about 4 slots on the toggle powers with 3 for resistance/defence and one for end reduction. This gives you good resistance and less of an end drain across the board.
  5. I have a Invul/SS tank and I opted out of the passive powers at first but after some number crunching, respecced them back in, at the higher levels they give a real added boost to survivability. It's best to pick them up when you get to levels where you can't take anything else or you havent unlocked the higher tier powers so you need to mark time for a bit.

The only main invul powers I would skip if you find you have to would be Tough Hide, but I wouldnt pass it up for one of the passive powers.

    Hope that helps somewhat
  6. I've always wondered about Taunt. I've been looking around and there's far too many posts which debate it already lol. I'm of the mindset that the taunt aura power, in this case Invincibility, is sufficient enough to hold aggro but isn't so good for re aggroing any mobs who break away from me. So far I havent used Taunt and I've got along fine, but then I've seen other tanks who've used it really effectively.

At the moment I'm willing to forego it so I can have an extra power in there somewhere but I'm going to roll another toon with Taunt and see how I get on with it I think.
  7. Thanks for all the tips. They've been really helpful. I'll drop Hurl I think, from what I gather it's just a cool looking animation as opposed to being very useful. I'll keep Laser eyes for concept reasons and I'll smuggle Resist energies and Weave in there somewhere, I'll probably lose Kick for it. Although I wonder if that would make my attack chain too small?

@Demonic Judgement. Nice avatar btw Squall pwns all XD
  8. Hey there, I've been looking around at different builds for a while now and I've come up with a build that's reasonably close to what I'm trying to achieve. It gives me 90% S/L resistance and about 28% for everything else except energy damage, which is at 15.6% resistance. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas for how I could shift powers and slots around and what effect that might achieve or whether I'm using any redudant powers that could be swapped out for something else.

I was wondering whether it's worth dropping Punch and having Air Superiority instead? They both do similar damage and AS has a better knockback. but will it make my attack chain too small?
