Trip mines need to be pretty close to an enemy in order to get triggered off, regardless of where you are. As long as you don't die or leave the map they stay until they eventually explode (they do have a long lifetime, must be those duracell batteries). Best bet is around doorways or anything enclosed.

I'd really reconsider not dropping Ignite, you got web grenade, both are fast recharge so you can effectively "Web grenade, Ignite, change target, repeat".

Would really choose SJ over SS but that's your personal preference, Combat Jumping aids slightly with your defence, whereas Hasten isn't really needed except for Elude much later on. When you get Quickness, you'll definately have a constant attack rate.

Divine Avalanche is a must. Hope you incorporated Fitness into your build because you probably know how much SR sucks up endurence, especially using a Katana. So getting stamina at 20 would help a great deal.

The Lotus Drops is a decent AoE attack so consider taking that. Passive defence would be good but I got 2 out of 3 of these at about the level 28 margin.

Other then that, knock yourself out.

Some good points raised there.

If there is a Primary powerset that can aid SR such as Parry from Broadsword/Divine Avalanche from Katana, etc. then the added defence bonus helps a great deal.

Unfortunately with Claws you don't have access to a defensive power like that, which makes you more likely to be hit in melee.

Although saying that, SR with Quickness combined with Claws will never let you down in attack chains. Also, Claws does not take up as much endurence as other powersets, where SR is enduerennce reliant, so both will compliment each other on that I think.

I still don't see how SR is nerfed, it's a perfectly good powerset IMO.

Definately is about preference.

You've seen how many AR/Traps corruptors there are? Hardly any! That's probably one of the reasons why I chose this build, I've still yet to see an AR/Traps corruptor in all me 40 levels. The build may be gimped but I rather be that way then be one of many.

I hope you've tried a blaster in CoH and got to the mines before you say that. For me mines seemed great until I got them. Took forever to get some out and the damage wasn't that great. In team people tended not to be willing to wait for me to lay out 3 - 4 mines as it took too long time. Just my humble opinion... I know some people likes'em.

Already tried and loved them mate. Really depends on the team, I set mines up in CoV all the time, I'll share some situations so hopefully people get inclined to try them.

Personally have two recharge reductions on trip mines which is why I can mine so fast. About 7-8 mines can take out one of those annoying Family "Consieuthngy" bosses through a good lure if going solo. So investing in a few minutes of laying mines to ensure a kill on a boss rather then running in and dying and wasting more time getting yourself back together.

On teams, lay mines wherever possible, may sound daft, but you never know when you might get chased and so you can run to a mine point for cover, if it doesn't go off, there's a small chance an ambush would run into it later on.

Teaming with a brute? Great! They run in and draw the aggro, you run in behind them and set the mine right next to their feet, doesn't apply with certain enemies (damn you CoTs -shakes fist-) but it works most of the time and you can deal a great deal of damage if you slot it properly.

My AR/Devices blaster is stuck at 18, need to get that poor sod's level up one day, but at level 30, concealment + trip mine + TP Foe = very annoyed villain.

I don't think I'll be making alts Kal, as I find more interest in the CoH ATs rather then the CoV ones, someday I'll level my stalker, hopefully the first to be a scrapper type rather then AS reliant.

Will probably go back to SS when I7 comes out, I'll be popping back from time to time though, still needs a damn respec hardly see you on Grevian, what you been upto?

You can usually find these outside the train stations on CoH. Specific for each zone but if you check the "Nemesis" section it provides the top 3 players of thumping a particular enemy,

Contains Heal stats, PvP listings and other goodies.
