For now, Friday and Sundays after the MSR is enough.
It gets to be quite exhausting trying to make things so clear for newer players that a child could understand what's expected and hoped for.
Then, I'm forced to realize that some are children and some are just childish.
I'll certainly form some trials - but I don't want to locked into a time. -
Quote:Rats, I just saw this.I'll be doing a UGT tonight during the I-Trial Marathon I do on Wednesday nights. Hope you all can make it.
Form up starting 7:55p (est) in RWZ, LAM or BAF first depending on the numbers then off to Keyes and UGT.
Most likely I'll be on Moroso but just look for my global in LFA and LB -
I don't think I'll do this anymore. I see Tanker Tuesday is a weekly thing now, so I think that might be more fun for me.
I may however start some trials before Tanker Tuesday, but Tuesdays can be kind of funny for me, so I can't put anything concrete prior to evening time. -
Every Tuesday?
That's great news!
I missed tonights because I'd already posted to do something else.
But, I'll be along this next Tuesday! -
I'm tempted to pass on this tonight because of Tanker Tuesday. But, if we have enough folks, I'll just bring on one of my tanks.

I haven't tanked in the UGT yet, but in the next month or so, when I've gotten him adequately level shifted, I will.
Honestly, in the tanker forums, there is some small whispers of taunt not being as effective as it should be. I think it's because there are scrappers and brutes with taunt auras (invincibility, fire, etc) and not to mention pure damage from fireball and the like also distract npcs from taunt.
It's not a stretch to think that some people aren't really focused on the task at hand where we may have a brute or even a tank not in the right spot. Could also be Phantom Army or other pets that cause the goliaths to spin around so frequently.
And let's be honest - on some runs, there are people present who are watching kids, watching sports, eating, drinking and who knows what else. All these things can attribute to a more challenging run.
But overall, FlyingCodeMonkey, I think what you're identifying is the delicate challenge that the devs had in mind. They wanted it to be a challenge, and they've succeeded. -
Sadly, this one is level 50. 2.1 Billion, uncrafted.
Via e-mail, two installments of 700 million
I send you the recipe
You send the third installment of 700 million.
PM me in forums or in game. Busy tomorrow morning, but tonight for a few hours or tomorrow most of the afternoon, I should be on
(Central time zone here) -
Quote:Logged in last night to see they updated my credits. 750 points yay. Also saw they had sets of LOTG for sale. Thought I'll do the smart thing and just get the pieces I want. Ended up buying 4 Def/Rech instead of 4 Def/+Rech.
I know better than this, such a stupid thing! Grr!
Hey, don't be afraid to send a petition about this. I made a similar mistake and the GM that responded told me that HE made the same kind of blunder himself. They sent it to your box, they can take it away just as easily. Might take them a day or two, but they can do it. (if they want to)
Just let them know that it was indeed your mistake, and be courteous.
After all, you're VIP! -
Welcome back - I have a second account myself - but - you're wanting to bring your alt account with you on tfs?
Am I understanding that right? -
Pocket D isn't bad - there are two reasons why First Ward was chosen. Most badge enthusiasts have their toons parked there for the new day job badges - so it actually is more convenient for those people who are bringing their badge toons. (Namely, me!)
Second, RWZ was full, and it never occurred to me to use pocket D.
So, a change of venue is certainly likely in the near future. -
Because every little bit helps.

Quote:Yea, I haven't looked at the prices on beta yet but I feel they are low enough that several of them could be purchased w/ the 400 free paragon points a month for VIP's (which we all are, if we're posting here.) I personally don't have much else I'd like to spend those free points on, and the option to use them to make inf. via buying cheap pieces of PVP or purple sets is never an unwelcome idea-- I suspect many others feel that way also.
I am pretty sure that any enhancements bought from the store will be account bound - that is, once your character gets them, you won't be able to trade or sell them. Your other characters may get them through global email, but nobody else. -
Having played a fire/fire tank over the last year, there's really only one issue I'd like to see addresses.
Taunt/punchvoke
When I am teamed with a brute and I taunt, the baddies come to me for about 3 steps until the brute walks in the room. I taunt again -and they ignore me until the brute is defeated. I have to run to the brute and use burn - which sometimes aggravates me because the brutes in a spot where I can't see the rest of my teammates.
This is not an occasional thing. This is every single time. They took the ability to slot taunt into blazing aura, and as a result, on teams, my role is essentially undefined if there's a brute on the team.
All I want is for when I taunt a baddie - I don't care if another tank taunts - I want the baddie to be after me. If a brute arrives first and taunts, that's fine and dandy. But when I show up, if I taunt (because he may be losing ground) the NPCs should divert their focus on me.
But, this doesn't happen.
What I don't want is for things to be changed in such a way as to make any role on a trial or team useless. -
If you try this again on beta, run into that patch and confirm that it's fire damage instead of something crazy like Nanite or undefined.
Procedurally, it doesn't sound very complicated - but I guess we'll be making good use of Clarions again. Happen to notice what the mag of confuse was? And whether it stacked?
If 6 of them are dishing out confuse and it's like the avatar's, that's some pretty high mag. Hopefully, they're spread out. -
Thanks for the post, Eric. Wasn't expecting that.
Well, that converter is on Beta, so there's still time. The problem is that PvP IOs are still more rare than the very rare. So, I suspect the price may drop a bit, but not too much. Bear in mind that you'd have to spend something to make the conversion, and what you get is random. Given all the procs, I guess odds are about 1 to 6 that you'll get what you want. But, I haven't done the math with a calculator, and higher math was a very, very long time ago, and I wasn't that good at it then.
I still have one more for sale.
Same deal as before. -
Well, we won tonight!
Thanks to everyone who helped, particularly, Xtreme Raze, who brought up some things I didn't know.
See y'all Friday after the MSR in First Ward (as Rwz will probably be full again) -
Any level you choose, cheap!
a mere 2.1 billion
uncrafted. I can meet you on a server to trade "in person" or through e-mail.
If E-mail,

PLease allow for a few moments to switch/travel to Fort Trident to get your recipe.
Send tell on forums or in game @Ukase -
I've decided that I've been enjoying the UGT. Because of this, for the time being, I'm going to lead one of these every Friday and Sunday after the MSR. So, approximately at 10:30pm Eastern.

Since you mention that this is a fire farm build - I think you have too much kb protection. Keep the one in Temp protection, and maybe trade the BotZ in for a LotG Defense/Endurance
On Mids, if you look at your totals - take a peek at your endurance usage. Sure, burn is a large part of the damage you do - but you're gonna be sucking wind before consume is up. At least, it sure looks that way to me.
Only the token slot in Stamina and a proc? Realize that it doesn't hit automatically - sure, it hits - but not often enough to rely on. And not enough, either. My toon has all the accolades, and gets about 11.4 pts of end. A very small bit. Hardly enough for some attacks. Now, if you're going to have Cardiac Alpha, you might be okay. But, I doubt it.
I see good defense numbers, but to me, they come at a pretty high cost. Instead of numina, I'd go with Doctored Wounds. That 5% recharge will compensate for the removal of adjusted targeting and 3 of the 5 slots you have. Get a couple of Rectified Reticles for a little more defense - and those other slots can go in Stamina and 1 can go in Char instead of Ring of Fire. Char will give you some more recharge and boost end recovery (though, to be fair, your three slots in RoF also boosted 2% end recovery, but I think any extra recharge you can get would be worth it.
Fire Breath on a tank...I'd recommend against this. Fine for blasters who can line up with a mob that's smothering a tank. But, for the tank ? Nah.
Maybe you'd like a travel power? Whatever you pick, try to find something that you can slot a set that will provide an endurance boost of some kind, 'cause I think that's what you're really gonna need most. -
Quote:Please also note that it is cheaper to buy the whole kinetic set individually, rather than the whole set.Note that although only the full sets appear in the Black Friday category, individual pieces of the sets are also available, and similarly discounted. So rather than try to find a build that would want to slot the whole set, save yourself some points and only buy the useful pieces.
I don't have the store in front of me, but I looked them over considering the purchase, but decided against it because I wasnt' sure how they would work.
At present, I can get these already without spending any money. So, why the fuss?
Dispari, you mention that the LotG will retain the level 50 strength while at
25. You're referring to the IO strength and the bonuses? Or just the bonuses? I'd thought they would scale down with level. There was no information on how these would work in the store. I wouldn't even know where to look for it. If it is the case that we can get those bonuses from these sets at level 1 (in theory only - in practice, we haven't the slots at level 1 to take full advantage) then it might be worthwhile. In a respec situation, it might be different - but I think if your character is level 50 and opts to get that item, then you'd get that item at level 50 - but, again, there's no documentation from a red name explaining how these things work. -
I have used these before while teamed. I know they work.
But, I am curious as to whether they work on league play.
I was on a UGT, and one of our tanks was having a rough time, so I used one of my team 3rd tier health inspirations, but I couldn't tell that he got any healing from it. On a league - it's impossible for ME to tell who has gotten what buff, except maybe frozen armor, or one of those that has a noticeable visual effect.
To be more clear, I wouldn't expect a break free to help the whole league, but I would expect it to help the team I'm on within that league. Yet, I used a couple of them and I could tell my toon got the benefit, but I couldn't tell if any of my teammates did.
Anyone else tried them in league play? I thought the team Escapes would be useful for UGT, but I never found out. (yet)
Thanks -
I'm quite sure. The leader was a level 50, exemped down to 35 for the task force.
