The problem here is, because of the way mobs' attacks work, sapping them does very little to make up for other sacrifices made to get that sap effect.

    Just...stop. You're embarrassing yourself.

No, it doesn't. You can't get blood from a stone. There is a maximum mathematical amount of performance you can get out of any build and nothing you can do will change that.
Yes, there is a maximum performance you can get no matter your skill. You obviously have never reached that point. And given the above quotes? You're probably never going to reach that point because you've limited yourself with stupid notions. Thanks for playing, though.

Bad luck, then? The great ones are rare, but, then, so are great players in general. They're underplayed specifically because there's a steep learning curve to them. I don't like them myself. But, that does not mean that the AT is bad once you learn the ins and outs of them.

The sad thing is I remember when /regen pretty much out-performed everything. It had problems with heavy alpha strikes, but if it survived that, it was unstoppable. Then they scaled down the regeneration bonus of IH, added one to Integration ( but the total still fell lower ), and made IH a click with a long-*** recharge. That pretty much killed /regen.

As with any other MMO there is simply no room here for a character type that does many things badly and nothing well, and that's Peacebringers summed up.
"Very nicely slotted" doesn't equal "well played". I've seen them tear through @#$% like there's no tomorrow.

  8. I'd have to disagree with the hate Beast Mastery is getting. Beast/Dark is ripping the bad guys to shreds. Granted, it's a little slow early on, but even just the second Lioness helps. The Dire Wolf turns things around completely. Part of the problem, I think, is you have to play it a bit differently from other MMs: You have to actually use those attack powers. Once those Pack Mentality buffs get stacking, those beasties are death on four legs. The other thing that helps is target-attacking with them rather than letting them stay in defensive for bodyguard.

So, yeah, in short, Beast Mastery is great if you play it more actively than most people are used to having to play MMs. I wouldn't say it's in the top ranks for MM primaries, but certainly above Mercs. And Ninjas.

    Or even underlining!
Caps are also used for emphasis. It's quite common.

I get the concept. You're horribly misusing it here, though. What you're doing is better described as "hyperbole".

This is kinda my problem. It's not that I don't like the new AP missions. I miss having the options starting out is all. Rather than several different arcs, there's one start with maybe two branches. That's a huge step down, IMO.

Take out an Energy/Energy Blaster and you're sure to see it quite clearly.
And, the point was that it was broken ("made worse") within the past two years.
Hmm, I seem to recall it having had these problems all along. Maybe it has gotten worse, but I haven't really noticed the difference.

I saw plenty of people there all the time. As many as AP? No. But certainly far from "nobody". Hell, I PREFERRED starting in there SPECIFICALLY BECAUSE it was less populated than AP.

I didn't see it so much. Yes, a LOT ran them, but not as much as run DFB now. DFB is hands-down more effective than old sewer runs were. Hell, more effective than a lot of the AE farms were.
  15. To answer the OP though:

The gutting of newbie hero content

The over-use of DFB and DiB due to being TOO effective for early leveling.

Often times it has to do with local laws in the country in question. Also, it sounds like in this case, you should be asking MMORPG.com since they're doing the give-away....

I fail to see how the second sentence supports the first. He wasn't, I don't think, suggesting paths exclusive to certain types of characters, but paths that focused on certain themes of content that you could choose to follow. A science origin could go the magic/fantasy route ( Think X-Files type of storyline for the theme blend ), magic could go the scifi route ( Star Wars? ), etc.

Well, like I said, the revamp improved it vastly. It's still not a zone I really like, but it's less like oral surgery than it used to be.

When was the last time you played the Hollows? It's still not a great zone, IMO, but the revamp they did a while back cut down on the doors halfway across the map surrounded by purples a LOT.
