I'm rather partial to a name I saw over in the DP beta forum: Hare Trigger. A bunny girl.
Another by the same was Herr Trigger, costume design should be obvious.

Quote:Would be even worse on those other forums. You -may- get trolled on those other forums for asking a question. But you -will- get trolled on them for starting your post out with something like "I know I'm gonna get trolled for this...". That's inviting the trolls to come play.Take it easy, looks like they're a refugee from some other MMO forum. We forget that pretty much every other MMO's official forums make 4chan look friendly and welcoming.

You know, that's not exactly a good way to start if you want to keep on people's good sides. The fact that you have gotten mostly helpful responses is a solid testament to how wrong you are about these forums.
The answers that've been given are pretty on-target. You should be able to just log in. If you can't, contact support. -
Above 60? Hell, above 30, while not unnoticeable, is trivial, IMO.

Quote:There's a difference between "PLing efficiently" and "exploiting". You know damn well what I meant. Put the strawman away.So just because I can PL effeciently to 50 at a faster rate than most, I'm using an exploit and I'm a noob?
Get real. It's a game. Get over it.
True, but the exploits make them more numerous by far. -
Nobody's saying their way is the only way to play the game. But that doesn't mean there aren't WRONG ways. And the DEVS ( You know them, the guys who make the game and, thus, the rules. ) have made it pretty clear that abusing PL exploits -IS- one of the wrong ways.
-
Quote:I'd say that the dramatic upsurge in clueless 50 n00bs served as proof enough that the exploits were affecting everyone. 'course, I don't see what that statement had to do with "using my logic"...Ok let's use your logic, Do you have any proof that those 3 clueless n00bs used exploits? Maybe they paid to get pled by people that use non exploit farm missions
Let's not forget the otherside fo the coin, those people that you get that think they know everything! They think they are never wrong, like they are experts on everything having to do with this game, these people are just as annoying on a tf or whatever mish!
The truth is, you have a choice as to who you play with, if the noob index is to high you can always quit the team... when you join a random team you get what you get... To avoid this, form your own team or join an sg and play with them, play with friends if you are low on friends join virtue and I'm sure you can find people to role play being your friend, then play with them...
for the record there are plenty of people that have level 50 toons that have never gotten pled and still have no clue how to play their toon.
it's just something you have to deal with when you play any mmo
Yeah, sure, I can quit a team with bad members. But when team after team ends up being like that in greater frequency since the exploits came to light, I don't see how anyone in their right mind can say that exploiting "only affects me if I let it"... Having to quit the team because of it affects me. Yeah, I choose who I play with...but that doesn't mean I don't end up wasting my time with PL n00bs trying to find a decent team.
And here we come to the point of the matter: If you're abusing an exploit, you're not playing in accordance with the EULA. -
It doesn't matter who you're "playing for". The fact that you're in the same game with other people in and of itself affects them. In a single player game, play however you want. But when other people are involved, nothing you do affects "just you".
-
...and I'm supposed to know how well they play their character before I've ever seen them play? Golly, I didn't know psychic powers were a requirement for playing this game!

Kind of a random codeword for the uber-PL exploit farms from the early days of AE. It's linked somehow to the first big exploit farm mission that was created, though the details escape me at the moment. It was a mito farm, as I recall. I -think- the mission name, details, etc all only said one word in each field: "meow".
-
Quote:Don't you love when people think that what they do doesn't affect anyone else in an MMO?The same way exploits screwed over the game for everyone who doesn't want to use them before; near-impossible to form non-farming teams, high-level zones are filled with clueless powerlevelled newbies that have no idea how to use their powers, nobody playing non-50 content, etc.
-
Quote:I agree. It's a fantastic RP tool, really. Nice to whip together something for a storyline and run your RP buddies through it.First off, your board Avatar rocks. Well done.
I personally use the AE to design custom content that appeals to me
(Origin Stories and the like) but I am not the best designer out there.
It is my hope that more people embrace and use this system. The
very fact that you can have some control over how a story or mission
is told is to ME a good thing.
But I may one of only a few that feels that way.
Cheers! -

"Many, many people" =/= "most". Just because the speedballers are the most visible doesn't mean they're the majority.
-
And what I said still applies. Again, their house, their rules and all. What's wrong with a game's creators making the rules for said game? When did this become a problem?
-
-
Quote:No, just more of NCSoft closing up blatant exploits. Get over yourself, they were awarding WAY too much xp for the challenge they posed. From today's Patch Notes:
Just more of NCsoft telling us how we should play.
But I fail to see the problem anyway. Their house, their rules and all. I'm wondering when it became a problem for the people who make a game to also make the rules for that game... -
Quote:That's all it is on the surface, yes. Even underneath, the tweaks aren't that huge, but they do make a huge difference. Windows 7 is what Vista should have been. Unfortunately, you can't get the major stability, compatibility, etc improvements without shelling out for the upgradeAs long as its 64 bit Windows 7 it shouldn't be a problem. Windows 7 is closer to a Vista service pack than a different operating system. It adds a number of much needed improvements and tweaks, but essentially is the same operating system as Vista. Of course you should follow Westey's advice and back everything up first anyway.

Open Betas generally means NDA is gone....

Quote:That won't affect his ability to see the differences in SCREENSHOTS...Not necessarily. If their current computer has a low end vidja card and/or monitor, it may very well have looked like nothing more than additional shadows.
On my old compy, I could see more than just shadows, but after my recent upgrade, I can see all KINDS of stuffs I couldn't see before.
OP, have you watch the footage from Hero Con? The 14:00 mark is when they start to show the fancy Ultra Mode stuff.
