Bah. Even if it is thematic, I won't play it then. IMO, balance and fun comes before character spotlight. No matter how awesome Reaver might be, I don't want to have to deal with him.
[/ QUOTE ]
yeah but you only have to kill him once for the objective complete. You can run your butt off after that.
EDIT: I solo him just fine on Turbo-Ski
EDIT2: I can think of worse things to do with custom groups such as give minions devices or traps or trick arrow (web grenade spam) or storm summoning (oh god the hurricanes) -

I didn't look into the sets much because all i really needed was recovery as is. I mostly 3 slot it with 25 io end mod.
As for wasting their time here, it's all a matter of perception. If you knew all about this there might be little content for you but keep in mind the world is not limited to your own very little person.
[/ QUOTE ]
Keep in mind that, Stamina is a no duh power pick and doesn't need to be explained to anyone, just like how you don't go explaining to just anyone how to pick something up with their hands. -
[ QUOTE ]
I was able to manage a costume change, sorta. It happens off screen of course, but if you have a really good grip on where the spawn points are on a map you can fake it.
The council guys don't actually costume change - they fire off a power that kills themselves and summons another mob on that spot (which is why the life bar 'resets'). The Redcaps have that trick, while the Malta Group Hercules and some of the shadow shard critters have a version where two of them combine". The customer critter generator is going to have to become MUCH more sophisticated before we're gonna be able to tap into such behaviors.
[/ QUOTE ]
I was thinking something along the lines of the Demon Paragon Protectors changing as you fight them. -
[ QUOTE ]
Reaver's rez power is REALLY annoying. :<
Combined with an ET that can basically one shot you, it's pretty annoying to fight him.

Completely intentional and thematic. -
I highly recommend my "Brass Reaver" arc under the global @Turbo-Ski

As for what can be defined as "Celebrity" any character that has at least 5 to 10 or so art pieces done of them roughly. Just don't want to have characters added that no one has ever heard of or seen art of.
I'll start the list here, add to this quote below if you have an addition. Try to keep it Alphabetized.

I know NikeIX and Soul Train have arcs out there too that need to be included as well. -

That's true, there's no code to switch costumes cos mobs only have one costume.
Durr.
Where's pohsyb? Can we get a trigger to switch mobs, like the Council do occasionally (turn into Warwolves?)
[/ QUOTE ]
That would force me to immediately do the story arc surrounding around Rebecca's and Sarix's souls merging into one to create Sarix Morrison. Would use it for the Rebecca (Full human) to Sarix (Full demon) transformation in the first mission.
I really want to be able to put in Scenes though... -
I'll have to try it out next time I'm online. My SG mates have been keeping me busy with their arcs the past two nights, although I got the chance for two of them to try out my Brass Reaver arc and they really loved it.
Maybe we should start Art forum regular MA list. -
Torment be Dammed is up on live right now as well if you want to see the jokes I hurl at the Thor's Assassin cameo. Also features 5 of my characters (2 allies and 3 foes). I tried to keep most of the dialog funny and entertaining for a one mission arc, so please enjoy.
-
[ QUOTE ]
Cool, I'll have to try it.
Got an epic arc in the works with my characters. Since they don't have Kheldens or Crab spiders available limited to some of them just appearing only.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yeah, the Kheldian powers not available part is the part I'll have to compromise in Brass Reaver Part 2 since one of the characters is a PB/WS hybrid in power choice. Then again I had to settle on one of the characters in part 1 being elec assault / elec armor instead of a hybrid as well so I might just follow up with the same thing there. -
If you type in @Turbo-Ski into the MA search box it will automatically bring up the my two arcs on live. Part 2 will be up within the next two weeks as I try to find the time to "compromise" the story elements from paper to game.
-
You people got my dollar on this one. Awesome.
-
...Hey bill couldn't you have put this all into one thread instead of making 17 separate threads...

Didn't know what to classify it as so I thought Nemesis Plots deserves it's own category. -
Since most of the art forum knows Reaver and Sarix pretty well from some of the art I've had done, I figured you all might want to see a story I've had on paper for a long time now that digs deeper into Reaver's mysterious past with a side of Nemesis plot.
Arc name: Brass Reaver: Part 1
Arc ID: 20106
Length: Long (5 missions, 2 being defeat all)
Difficulty: Easy to Moderate
Villain groups: Nemesis, Custom, Reflections, Nictus, Carnies
Part 2 is already planned out on paper just needs to be put into the MA next week. -

Read thru to check out the raw data the Frostwork application. Its still a beneficial power pre50 or anyother hero not fully established. But its definitely not a mandated power in the build and could easily let go of on a final ReSpec. Whatever the case, i dont think im gonna bother to respec Frostwork on my 40's lowbies lol.....
[/ QUOTE ]
FW scales parallel with HP caps and levels so it's always the same no matter the level range, a 33% heal enhance to FW will still cap out half the ATs in the game no matter the level range, no matter how that amount is achieved through enhancements.
[ QUOTE ]
Believe it or not, i ended up skipping Infrigidate also with this pair. Though its a great power altogether to have, its conceivably possible to skip this power to open up another power choice. Its just a single target -slow/-recharge, which alot of the other cold powers overlap into already. It is a great setup for your Benumb/Heatloss debuffs for its -Def. But -Def is pretty decently covered by Sleet, especially 3slotted w/ -Def. Im not sure of the numbers, but i think a Cold will have plenty of -Recharge/-Slow/-Def to make the power a bit unneeded.
[/ QUOTE ]
Infrigidate is there so you don't have to wait 25 to 30 seconds to target paint a single foe with Sleet, you can just do it on the fly with Infrigidate and for less cast time and higher debuff value. Considering you'll be doing more ST damage than AoE, it's pretty important for not just you but everyone in the team that is /assisting you. Also unslotted sleet+infrigidate has a greater def debuff value than 3 defdebuff slotted sleet or 3 defdebuff slotted infrigidate. It's thusly in your best interest to stack them.
[ QUOTE ]
A bit surprised that you dont have Aid Other as a Pool choice. A "shield buffer" that is able to do team maintenance healing is such an awsome combo. With 3slotting heal, 2slot rech, 1slot interrupt for a defender turns it into a 520+hp every 7seconds or less damage mitigation tool. Every once in a bit, a heavy hit or combo of hits gets thru the defense of a teammate(especially -def attacking mobs) and puts a hurt on them. A well-timed Aid Other restores all confidence... i'd skip the Stimulant and get Aid Other instead. Even mezzed, a teammate will still be protected by your defense......
[/ QUOTE ]
This guide was written before Issue 13 when Mez was a much more relevant issue than healing allies, since a bad mez could shut down important toggles instead of simply suppressing them. Stim is still quite good over Aid Other simply because Cold's +Def and -recharge is such an incredibly strong synergy that it really doesn't need a heal helping out, mez however can still cause problems in some encounters. Personally I take neither on any of my cold builds. -
MArc Title: Torment be Dammed
MArc ID#: 17044
MArc Level Setting: 30+
# of Missions: 1
Length: 10-20 minutes
