Okey dokey. Well if I get to 48 PG will be 4 slotted and Nigel 6 slotted. If i get to 50 before then, PG will also be 6 slotted

I think there are less dominators on the server than anything else. Although the best thing to do is play what you have the most fun with

I picked up PG at the weekend but thinking about it I will have to get to 50 before its fully slotted. It should be 4 slotted by then if thats any help. I am happy with my build at the moment and because respecs are hard to come by I'm a bit weary about using 1 to get PG sooner and/or bring in the psychic epic. It'll actually mean using 2, 1 to get a hami build and one to change it back if I don't like it. So what wold you suggest? Shall I just get on with it and use a couple of respecs and hope I don't need them at a later date or will I still be of use with 4 slotted PG and 6 slotted nigel?

Agreed. Was going the same ways as Mr C in thinking this good, fun idea you had was beginning to not feel fun anymore. As I've said before if everyone starts to try and argue that this set is allowed because of this and this set is allowed because of that, we'll have that many allowed power set combinations we'll just be like any other SG. Yes it may be a challange at time but alot of us are experianced players and the challange will be good. I for one was really pleased when the team of AR blasters and 1 controller completed frostfire with only 1 faceplant. I mean how many times have you been in a lowbie PuG that has ended with multiple teams wipes? Sticking to the basic brothers, chaplains, terminators and apodoodah classes I'd say is the best way to go. Then occasionally you can offer people chances to create a unique build as you have done with the storm/elec defender. -
As Max has said, tar patch doesnt need that many slows in. It should mainly be used for the -resist rather than the slow, 3 recharges are the best slotting then add one or maybe 2 slows. I'd also try and get darkest night earlier but if you can't lvl 12 should be ok. Fearsome stare with 5 slots is probably best slotted 1 acc, 2 fear, 2 recharge. You can put a tohitdebuff in there aswell instead of a recharge but with darkest night and dark servant heavily slotted for debuffs I don't think it would make too much difference.
Same really for petrifying gaze, instead of 3 holds maybe slot with 1 acc, 2 hold and 1 recharge so it can be stacked onto bosses etc. -

Think just whatever fits. Obviously fly is a good one for the whole jetpack thingy (lets just hope these new costume options being introduced in i7 include one). SJ would also fit in with this concept, having boosters or something to propel urself along. Teleport fits in with the whole tech/gadget thing. Only really SS that I can't see really fitting in, although it could be expalined as similar to SJ only with horizontal boosters rather than vertical.

Never really had a problem with it myself either. Team of 6 I was in last nite was 5 rifles and 1 lib. -
had a quick play last nite, and 6 of us (5 rifle brothers and a lib) managed to do frostfire with only one faceplant (that being me
). Up to lvl 10 with my rifleman and also put a lvl 3 terminator into the SG (if we need the space at some point I'll remove one of them)

1. Veterans had white helmets. Terminators were veteran marines. WHat do you reckon?
2. Devastors could have the steampunk robo arm. You have to max out the top half of an athletic fram as you don't get armour but it looked good. I'll post some examples in a bit. Fire/en makes a good multi melter type thing I think. SLot blazing bolt and boost range for recharges and It could be very characterful. COuld have rain fo fire as a sort of special shot.
3. Assault rifles remind me of combi weapons. WOuld that open up any options
And that's about it. Going to try out some toons now and post you some examples.

tbh I think trying to fit in even more powersets is taking it a bit too far unless they are unique characters, in which case we'd have only 1. If we end up having a mixture of power sets and ATs available to anyone it'll end up just being like another CoH SG and team expect we'd look similar -

Can't see any problems with the build. Personally though I've found slug better than buckshot, so it may be worth considering swapping those. Also I'm not sure the extra ranges in sniper are necessary, expecially not after boost range but thats down to personal preference I guess. Ideally I'd want to add more slots to the heals so they can be slotted with interupts and recharges aswell (slot it 2,2,2). If you keep aid other at 3 slots I'd say only have 2 heal and the 3rd a recharge or interupt (depending on if you plan on using it mid battle or not). same for aid self aswell, if keeping 4 slots maybe go 2 heal, 1 rechrg, 1 int.

whats the difference between a chaplain and an apothedoodah anyway? Just the leadership pool? Or has this come about because someone mentioned making an emp/psi defender?

remember though that you can no longer take taunt until lvl 10 (I think its 10 now).
From what I've heard with an Inv tank you have to make th choice between the passives or the fighting pool. Apparently the fighting pool offers a smaller percentage more resistance/defence but of course costs more endurance. So really its down to personal preferance. -
I seem to have slipped back from the others in the last few days so I should soon be able to get a lvl 9/10 frostfire. Don't mind running a lower lvl team and I'll be on lots over the weekend if anyone wants to join me
Is there a limit to how many chars we have in the SG, obviously I have a brother at the moment but could I also have a terminator in there if I wanted? -
sorry I had to leave early, the pancakes were calling, well I say pancakes it was actually my girlfriend saying every 5mins "when are you making pancakes!". And after all that she didn't even eat them all! Damn women!
Anyway, considering an AV like the clockwork king went down in under a minute (wasn't it?) with us having only TO's slotted. An EB vs us now with fully slotted SO's shouldn't last very long -
I think whichever of us can't decide on what they want their 2nd costume to be should just click on the random button 6 times and job done

I hope it lasts a bit longer than the Rad Rangers etc. This alt is probably the most fun I've had playing so far and its one I really want to play. I'll be around for a few weeks anyway while I wait for a few people to catch up to Tufty.
Not sure if I'll be able to play tonite though as I'll be pancaking and defendering. -

As you can imagine we are very heavy on the blasters and scrappers at the moment. Last time I noticed I think we had 1 controller and 2 tanks. But tbh, if you'd rather play a blaster or scrapper instead then do so -
I've got it on Tufty on even with defender dmg I wouldn't swap it. Any nuke is suituational really and some people like them, some don't. I guess it depends what sort of corrupter you are playing, i.e. either more defensive (defender) or more offensive (blaster). You have to remember you have access to tar patch aswell which reduces resistance so you can get a bit more dmg out of it aswell using that. Theres also the -acc effect that blackstar applies so if anything is left standing they have a smaller chance of hitting you. If you want to look at what sort of dmg the defender version can do then let me know and I'll be happy to show you
