Guys it is a game. Just deal with blinds if you get them.

I deal with people that dont reply to tells by sending blinds.

It isnt worth getting upset over.

Some think it is unreasonable to blind, I think it is really rude not to reply to a tell. And I am not talking a min or so I am talking after a 5 min wait and seeing them zone to other maps and enter missions.

I wait a good 5 mins before even bllinding people that have not responding.

TBH I dont see a problem with that. I know lets make it even harder to team and to be honest if u dont like it just continue to ignore the invites. What really gets me is the people that have please send tell in their search comment and then dont reply, even after u seen them change zone and then enter a mission.

Horses for courses really and I will continue to build teams how i see fit. Looking forward to being on ur ignore list.

Another thing that i have seen happen is player x asks you to invite player Y and then Player Y sends a nasty tell saying why did u blind me?

I honestly dont know what the problem is with blind invites. You either want a team, click yes or you dont click no. Far easier than being to "busy" to reply. And to be honest there are not many times when you are unable to tap out a reply. If there is may I suggest you need to learnt to type faster :P

If people dont take the time to respond to a tell, then I will blind. They may have been AFK and missed the tell but not the invite. But at the end of the day, it is polite to send a tell so polite to reply. If no reply they get blinded.

It is hard enough to get a team without people not replying to polite tells.

Wanna give some more details? Was this in faultline by Doc Deliah? If you are who I think you are. I sent a tell and got no reply so blinded, and then a good five mins later after couldnt get a team together myself got offered the last 2 spaces on another so left my team as u just joined.

I have stated what I think.

Some of us have opinions about this game that if we air get shot down. Those opinions (I feel) have a sound reason to be discussed, but when such threads are created DOOM is announced and many people ridicule the people putting forward what they feel is a valid point, and derail such threads. I know moderators have posted saying there is nothing wrong, but I seem to remember those in charge saying there was no reason to worry at Northern Rock, and I also seem to remember our illustrious pompus phallus non elect but leader by default saying that we were not going to have a recession. People in charge never admit a problem until it is really apparant and things have to be done. But that is by the by and I will admit things do appear to be a little better at the moment.

When we are asked not to continue posting such threads, which I feel has happened, posts like this appear which seem to be me saying get knotted all of those that have concerns over an aspect of this game that they feel may or may not be in decline.

As a part of the group that is worried that have abided by the request to stop posting regarding that subject I feel that people are now taking pot shots knowing that any replies we may post regarding that will be removed and also that a mob of forum members will decsend upon them.

If the request to stop the posts of people saying something is wrong have stopped due to the request then people should be civil and not post the other way blatently having a pop at those that think differently.

There are many ways that the original post could have been written.........
I have had a fantastic teaming experience this weekend and have dinged 50 etc etc, but no the choice of words and the way with which the thread has been written just implies to me that this post is about making bite and start arguing.

As I said before I have notified a moderator as this I feel has been posted with a view to cause forum disharmony.

If you ask me I think that this a troll trying to bait people into an argument that has been discussed before and that GhostRaptor has indicated he wants no more discussion of.

Think this is in poor taste and will be notifying a moderator of this thread.

Indeed it does. Well it is true you do learn something new everyday. However there is a theory that learning something new forces something old out.

I have experience of that as I went on this day trip to learn about wine tasting and at the end of it I couldn't drive

That and the stupidly high number of ones that seem to think the only thing people do with lvl 50s is to farm - you'ld think that the description No Inf Farms would give them a clue, even worse when its immediately followed by a blind invite - the only thing that does is to earn them a /ignore and until 3 months ago only one person who would be familiar to many from a couple of years ago made it to my ignore list.
I have no problem with people farming but I do with those that are too ignorant to read search descriptions.

I always send tells to people but since I started using search way back in I4, I have been unable to see peoples full search comments. I am limited to seeing a couple of short words. Anything over about 5 characters I cannot see. Maybe other people have the same problem.

Any farming requests i get get this reply and then the person is promptly ignored. Farming tells i find rude.

But if they asking in a nice way, then you are the one being rude. They may well want to put their 2 inf in here and say the rudest tell they have recieved has been a NO.

I mean jeez all you ever hear about is it being rude to blind invite, so people send tells of varying degree but they have not blinded. I answer all tells politely. If someone has taken the time to send a tell it is polite to return a civil tell. If I then recieve a rude reply I just ignore them. It hasnt hurt me it hasnt distracted me from my game, and it most certainly wont stop me from playing.

Well at most think we have had 30 people taking part. Would like to see more but doubt we would get em on our "dead" server :P

Still we have had fun and caused some mayhem and lag and seen a fair few people ding aswell whilst this has been happening.

Another successfull 3 runs, with a zombie invasion half way through the second run. Know a couple of people got purples from it.

Just a reminder, I will be running this event again on Defiant on Sunday 26th October @ 8pm (think that is GMT as the clocks are going back, but will be 8pm in the UK). Would ask that people that are interested please assemble by the ferry in PI.

The plan will be the same as before (see the first post in this thread). I will broadcast warnings again in PI prior to this starting warning of non-partakers that this will be happening and asking them to stay off the main roads between the ferry and Portal Corp so they dont get caught up in the madness.

If after the first run people would like to go again we will sort that out at the time. Is a great opurtinity for lvl 50s without the ToTing badges to gain them in a fun and quick way.

That is a solution that doesnt affect how non griefers play and is a better solution than suppressing travel powers.

With regards to my attitude earlier in this thread I will apologise, moving doesnt stop the griefer but it allows you to continue with an event that is a lot of fun, and when noone is in a zone that can be griefed they will stop through boredom.

And I was greated with there is no problems replys from many on that subject and have discontinued that avenue of discussion at GhostRapors request, however I feel about the subject.

And yes the only to stop this problem is to stop the greifers but the method you have suggested encroaches on other peoples play style that are not causing harm. It has merely been pointed out that by moving to another zone would have stopped him from greifing and allowed you to have continued ToTing, with only the scenery different. Not an ideal solution but the best one we have at the moment.

It would be if you continued to stand there whilst they did it again. It was a specific exploit that has now been dealt with. But the first time it happened it was unexpected but surly you were on ur toes after it, and should have been more careful until the exploit was cleared.

This is still a totally different thing to what is origonally being discussed.

Ummm think my post was more designed to point out that it may be annoying but isnt the end of the world. As I stated there were other zones available and at least 1 (there is also Perez) where the offender would have been unable to continue the harrasment.

It is one thing being a victim it is another thing continually allowing yourself to be a victim. My anger at the thread is the replys of why should we, which can be equally applied to people that are running and clicking. The only thing that differs is the harrasment element that the other player was causing. If you fail to make any attempt to stop someone griefing you then you deserve what you get in my book.

And the point of raising this thread is what? To inform us that there is people that cause grief and harrass other players. We all know that? That the ToT event has a flaw that is exploitable by griefers? Again we and the devs know that.

If the thread was along the lines of OMG just been griefed ToTing in Steel. Does anyone have any suggestions of how to stop this? Then I would take a better veiw of the thread, but it just seems to have been created as a poor us thread please lay sympathy on us, as valid suggestions have been made of how to not let this occur to them again by myself and others and they have been greated with replies of why should we. Well if you dont like it or someone is being griefed there is no there is no other way to stop this other than petitioning atm and then either logging (griefer wins) or moving to another zone.

Edit: Have just re-read the origional post and suggestions were made to combat this and I apologise for that, but still there are other options open. When an event is re-run and you have no interest in the badges/playing a toon that cant deal with the spawns (Pure Emp - my main) then suppressing Travel Powers will kill the likes of us or force us into a ToTing team which reduces the speed at which you can get the treats which if all your after is the cossies is not good, and if I was stopped from running away from doors I have clicked it would then ruin the event for myself and others. When trying to deal with griefers it is not the action of running away that is the problem it is the actions of the griefers opening doors in front of lower level toons and/or pulling mobs to the low level toons, and the only fair way to deal with those is to petition and allow the Mods to deal with in an appropiate way.

It is when there is already another thread about this subject. That would be entitled Grandville Idiots. And IMS GhostRaptor has told people what to do in there.

Not saying you have too. But if he is bugging you that much you have more options than coming on here and moaning about him where he can see how much he has bugged you.

I mean the options are

a) petition him and move to another zone where he cant do this too you.

or

b) Petition him and then come on the forums and moan about it, showing him he has ruined your gaming experience.

I dont know what you want people to say. We all know it is bad but it happens and you either get on with it or come and moan. I see it you could have got on with it but you both seem to want to make an issue of this.

As I have said before there is nothing in the game mechanics stopping this and there is certaintly no game rule they are breaking by click and running. The only rule they have broken is harrassment then you have done everything within your power to stop that by sending the petition.

Levels 10 and 12 is also valid to ToT in Hollows, so if he continues to harrass you, you could also go there where he would be unable to do it, It would also place you in the top range of the zone so no one else can do it to you. There are plenty of doors in quiet corners of the hollows to play with

COP was made for SGs. This idea doesn't have to be SG only. The start for this could be similar to arranging an arena event. The team leader from team A would talk to the contact, and would be placed in a waiting room whilst other teams joined. The Team B team leader would also join at this point if both team leaders were flagged as ready a start button would appear and allow the TF to start, or a third team leader could be added to the mix, and then start.

I like the idea's of the stories interconnecting the trials of the three teams. What would be nice if Team A finishes the first mission, Teams B + C missions become easier, or team C completes, teams A and Bs mission becomes easier so that it could be completed quicker. I honestly cant see it happen as would be too easily abused.

The only major floor I see with this suggestion is that Team B may power through all of the missions and be waiting on the other 2 teams before being able to enter the last map and complete the TF. I cant think of any way to make sure teams stay together in the mission arc leading to the battle without it becoming exploitable, or if there was a way introduced it would severely lower the rewards from the TF as means some would be able to obtain a completed flag easily.

Other than that a damn fine suggestion that would maybe allow for more use for the CoP without limiting it to SGs. Or be way to introduce some amazing content on a truly epic scale.

On the discussion of Villian types I think the only two mobs that are available throughout the entire level range are Arachnos and Council. Now I know STF is Arachnos based, but then the council have the Hess TF and Citadel. I think to make it truly epic I would like to see the battling factions be Midnighters and Menders and with them battling for the whole of existence in a war waged throughout time. Hostages can be notable figures of History (In-Game and Real), and real events could be mentioned that were unable to be stopped. Quite an in depth story could come from this and if I get my creative hat back from my mate I may have a bash at knocking something up. The roles of the two teams could be to aid each faction or sabotage each factions attempt pushing them to a stalemate and forcing them to the end battle where the teams all converge and fight for time (Have definitely sold this too myself now)
