Initially a few Heroes gathered in Talos island, whilst waiting we quickly got word that Peregrine Island was the intended target of the IDF and moved to cut off their advance.
Halting the first few of Cole's Praetors well before Portal Corp. the rift that the Praetorian's were using quickly adjusted to try and bring troops into Portal Corp. itself! Again they were halted before they could enter the actual facility, a testiment to the Hero's of Union who despite the odds stood firm against whatever was thrown at them.
Eventually Portal Corp. themselves seemed to be able to neutralise the rift's locally and Praetoria was forced to open a main rift further away near Maria Jenkins. Immediately a quiet park was turned into the front line for the defence of Primal Earth and after a lengthy battle against (lots) the IDF's mobile artillery and Praetors we reduced their number to 0 and claimed the day as ours!
The dimensional barriers appear to have strengthened again, but we must remain vigilant against any and all dimensional threats! -
The Ustream chat was fun, as it was great to put some faces to the names for a few people, I was a bit confused and slightly disappointed with the competitions though, as an example midway through discussing the second question the chat box suddently exploded with people typing the word Crey, by the time Zwillinger actually said "GO" someone had already popped up their delightment at answering the question!!!
Anyways, that aside was good of you guys to keep that feed up to give us a platform to chat with you guys!
Did a redname get decided for "Random QA Guy"? -
There was someone spamming about base raiding and it was noted that it caused a LOT of strain on the servers, after which I asked a question about base's in general and Zwillinger immediately replied "Nothing I can discuss right now" so perhaps there is something in the pipeline?

The temporal waveform moved and flourished across the screen, key reference points noting the dimensional weaknesses and predicted quantum states for each. As the Zero Strykers, assembled in the deepest sections of the Temporal Vault watched, they knew that despite their efforts, that full scale dimensional war was at hand.
"Their technology differs from the Rikti's does it not?" Phaserbolt was the first to offer his analysis of the situation "whereas the Rikti's physical weakness was re-inforced by their technology, Praetoria uses similar power sources to that of Primal Earth, but on a slightly larger scale" looking again at the peaks and narrows of the Dimensional Rifts it became apparent that despite the weakening of the barriers, that Primal Earth still had an advantage...
Fairness turned to Tsumiju Zero, who as always looked deep in concentration at times like these, "Zero, is this really linked to the actions of Omega Team?" Zero didn't answer before the sound of the entryway doors drew her attention, Soul Storm had returned to the Vault to see the results of the calculations for himself.
"Whoah, these dimensional rifts really are wearing the barriers thin, Omega Team sure went to town when they arrived didn't they!" Soul Storm was his usual casual self, even in times like these he knew a little humor helped. "What do you think they'll throw at us? Warworks? IDF? Those cute girls that float?"
"Whatever it is" Phaserbolt cut back in "The Praetorians are on a time limit, during each of the peaks in the dimensional rifts, their connection to Primal Earth will be strong and allow their regular IDF teleporters to work, but when they narrow, their power requirements will be massive!"
Zero spoke, "It seems that the Praetorian's overconfidence will undo their desire to invade across the dimensional lines." "We Strykers, who have defended those lines for so long will be doing so again, our strategy will be to force the usage of the Praetorian rescources, we know their troops outnumber us, but their ability to bring them to bear at once will their limitation." The Strykers knew immediately what Zero was hinting at, wherever, whenever during the dimensional weakness the Praetorians struck Primal Earth, that they would be immediately faced with the Strykers and the other Heroes of Primal Earth and that victory would not be gained or lost on the battlefield, but in seeing Praetoria's limited rescources wasted on a venture where Primal Earth has an unseen but very powerful advantage. -
We have seen the Praetorian teleporter technology as used by IDF forces, PPD when summoned by Seers and during the Apex Task Force. These teleporters seem to be able to physicially move matter through relative space, so as long as there is a connection between Preatoria and Primal Earth, this same technology would allow them to teleport to our location for their assault.

Quote:Thankyou to anyone that nominated the Zero Strykers SG pageFeatured Content!
- Hero: Unbeweglich
- Character: Wyld Card
- Group: Zero Strykers
- Mission Arc: Salvage Rights
Many thankyous to those who nominated and I hope to see more nominations in the future! -
Just did a time conversion and it starts at Midnight for us EU users :'(
I can appreciate the need for testing at peak US times and awarding the badge if you guys get 2500 users is awesome, but I'll probably have to miss the event itself. -
I'm actually thinking either...
That the event on the specified date is CALLED the Freedom event and that the poor wording has sparked massive outrage.
Or.
That everyone in this thread is correct and that this is the worst badge criteria since Master of Lambda's Antacid and Well Stocked. -
Whilst mazes are allright, there are SO many bases out there showing creativity and style, might I suggest that if you, Avatea etc enjoyed that maze, that you come tour some of the bases that the rest of us call home

Quote:That might have been me lol, feel free to nominate mine if you want *whilstles* lol*Prods* Hey guys I would love to see some nominations for featured content as so far my nominees are down to someone nominating one of my pages (Which is a huge compliment but I'd love to see the love shared around!)
Otherwise I'm going to have to go ahunting myself! -
cheers! missed that Ustream hence the slight confuzzlement!

the discussion here seems to suggest that backpacks are confirmed for an upcoming booster or the likes?
-
Let them come, we have shown dimensional invaders that we will draw the line wherever they cross and we will do so again.
-
the main reason is that when entering incarnate trials having first slotted a second or third level shift, it's sometimes difficult to tell whether they are working or not, hence the suggestion
-
Simple suggestion, for those with incarnate shifts, wanting to know if they are being applied, add the ability for the level display to show a greyed out or transparent 50 in the current style, with +1, +2, +3 over the top so that we know when shifts are working without asking others to level check us.
Have already sent this in via petition, but it was suggested to post it here too by the responding GM -
Alternatively, as we have now seen that the Praetorians initial offensive was launched from the Floatilla, we could interpret the construction in Kings Row as a supression device, not a portal as originally thought.
It would make sense for invading Clockwork to position the device city-centrally so to speak to gain maximum impact against Primal Supers, hence Apex's need for incarnates to clear out the area so that Primal Techs can disable the equipment?
It would also make sense that Anti-Matter has similar supression for Primal Supers in Praetoria, hence the same power supression mechanic for our counter-offensive in the Tin Mage TF.
As for Sutter, we could concieve that the time it takes for Admiral Sutters fleet to get from the floatilla back to Paragon, that the Apex TF has succeeded and that Supers are now able to fight on an even level to the IDF. -
-
I thought they were static when I did the maps, would rather be 100% sure, hence asking for a double check
-
Part of the problem here is me being a dingleberry!!! Meant SE, not SW. Apologies for the Typo!!!
-
hmm, i'll see if I can screeny it if it comes up, cheers for double checking the info guys, really appreciated!!!
-
I was quite puzzled too, I think the best way we can cover this off is to continue to monitor the spawn points and compare data, on future runs I'll keep an eye on the SE room, see what we get.
btw, managed MO this morning with a gank run ignoring mobs, a few things that helped were:- The team finishing sabotage first exiting the inner facility instead of hunting objects in the opposing area and buffing for an immediate assault on Marauder before the reinforcements get there.
- Staggered use of Call to Justice at the opening stages of the fight to dent the initial HP faster, holding off a few that recharged and using them in time to push through his unstoppable.
- Deploying Non-Seer Lore pets at the start of the battle and summoning the Seer pets around the 25* mark to assist fighting through.
- balls the size of death stars
overall, despite my hopes for a technical strategy, we do seem to have correlated enough data that a direct attack strategy is the way to go. I'm pleased with the map data and the tips we have amassed though, so I'm glad I posted this thread and initial data![/list] -
During some (dismal) runs through BAF with a certain (not in this thread/serverlist(yet)) disfunctional raid leader, I noted Master Zaprobo's observations regarding the Resistance destinations and the effects of Force Bubble on those waypoints. It has been successful to place Force Bubble enabled players on these waypoints and exits, thus allowing the raid to focus more on JUST the Hardened Resistance Commando's.
The Killbox deployment @Ammon describes (which I have visualised below) however seems far more PUG friendly, which in truth is how I prefer my CoH content. So as a fan of "grab your friends and go" as opposed to "we won't go anywhere until people alt to what I tell them to" I removed the force bubbler strategy and rewrote my guide, crediting @Ammon for the deployment placement as I feel it suits my style and increases the success rate of the MO runs.

back online @ 19:21? blimey that was fast, given that there was downtime during prime CoP time I was kinda downed and made other plans for part of the evening! If I knew it was a 20 minute thing I wouldn't have!!!
