The next themed contest is next Tuesday. Theme for next week is Best Green Costume. The best use of the color green in your costume; not including skin and hair color. You may use white, black, or gold as accent colors for this contest. -

I also haven't run into this yet, but I do see people sticking it in their advertising for teams. -
I have not run into this....it makes sense to advertise for a teammate with the Alpha slotted for the Tin Mage or Apex task forces; but otherwise it seems like a senseless reason to not team with someone. I can't imagine kicking someone from a team that did not have their alpha slot...if it was that important to me I would have asked them about it before inviting them.

If you look at the Properties for City of Heroes/Villains in the NCSOFT launcher it specifically says this game does not support patching through the launcher... so not sure how it helped you.
I'm having the same issue... can log in but the servers aren't accessible.
