Here's a link to the NA updater for PCs. If you need one of the other versions, there's links in your game management screen when you sign into manage your master account.

Quote:I set mine to 100 per page, which is the max. From what I gather, being able to set a higher number really stresses the SQL server calls, which would result in slower forums.
There are very few threads I can think of that 100 posts per page isn't sufficient for, and even for those long threads, I'd rather have some kind of breaking point for going back and looking for some old post. I understand that there is some addon for Firefox or Opera that will preload the next few page for you as you near the bottom of a forum page, so this may be an option for you. But not everyone runs Firefox or Opera or wants to take the time to hunt for addons.
For Firefox, AutoPager works well for that, dunno about Opera though. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/4925 -
Sounds like you don't have the science booster pack, which at select NPCs allows you to modify your body type and scales.
The tailor in pocket d is a super tailor, and there should be one in each of the other tailor locations, they'll have surgeon in their name, I believe.
Sounds like you may just be seeing an interface you are not used to and not allowed to modify without the booster, although I can't explain why the scales are off from what you remember. -
Quote:As for your first question, if you are using Firefiox you may be interested in the AutoPager addon ( https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/4925 ). Once enabled for the site, as you scroll down the page it will automatically load the next page and paste it into the current one you are viewing, giving the appearance of viewing it all as a single page.1) Instead of looking at a threadone page at a time, I like to look at the thread as all replies on one page - even long ones - just saves me having to kep doing page loads.
On the old boards I just clicked "show all" - where's the "Show All" choice here?
2) How do I remove the "_NA" at the end of my name, or is this a lame consequence of the changes? -
The new forums are annoying to navigate, using the Back button reloads the last page viewed instead or just taking you back where you were. In the old forums I could read a thread, go back, and click the next thread down. In the new, I have to scroll down every time to find my place, and new posts can change the order.
An option to not reload the page when navigating Backwards would be greatly appreciated.
Images in sigs have got to go. I've disabled signatures, but now any usefull links that may have been in the sig are now gone too. This is a choice we shouldn't have to make.
I'm concerned that my forum password is now forced to be identical to my game login. An option to have separate passwords should be a priority fix. -
I find it a PITA that every time I hit the Back button, it takes me to the top of the last page. Makes it annoying to read multiple threads when you are having to scroll back down and find your place.
The old forums were much easier to navigate as it took you back to where you were on the last page. -
Had this happen to me the other day. Like you, my roster showed correct 'last on' dates, and my SG said I hadn't been online prior to my own login. Just a weird glitch, I guess.
I changed my game password just in case, but was unable to change my master password, it just dumps me to the login screen everytime I try to confirm the change. Hope they fix that. -

The closest I can get is a paraphrase of an apparent PM in which Castle states that this was not intended to affect enemy pets in PvE but in some cases it will.
[/ QUOTE ]
Well, other than the fact that it's not intended, what do you want?
[/ QUOTE ]
"some cases" implies it's a minor issue and will be gotten around to when there's free time. If those "some cases" didn't include the entire point of the next issue the change ships with, I would indeed be satisfied with that.
It was glossed over like it was unimportant, I'd like to know that there's a possibility three of my characters can actually participate in that issue upon release on even footing with everyone else. -

No word in any thread, and they seem to be ignoring any PMs on the subject as well.
[/ QUOTE ]
To be fair, devs don't have time to respond to every PM someone sends them.
[/ QUOTE ]
I don't expect an individual reply to every PM I send. They must be getting a few more than just mine on this subject, and it'd be nice if they posted something publicly about it.
It's been days since that patch went in, and no further information has been forthcoming. The potential ramifications of this deserve at least some acknowledgment of the concerns. -
[ QUOTE ]
And I note that the devs have STILL not said a single word about the detrimental affect this is going to have on -recharge powersets vs pets. Makes you wonder if they thought about it at all?

Sometimes I wonder if they ignore an issue just to see the reaction. Doesn't take much effort to just say "we are looking into your concerns to see if they are valid". -
Then can we get some official reply on the flipside of this issue... Which (if any) NPC pets will be affected by this, and has it been considered the impact this will have on players.
I have a real fear my Ice tank, still stinging from hibernation nerfs, will be completly helpless in the MA, considering the popularity of adding masterminds and other pet classes. Did my warshade just get a double nerf for the price of one? Not that I PvP, but what's the impact there going to be?
Several sets use -recharge for mitigation, an official word explaining the effects on that would be most appreciated as well. -

1) Yes, outright changing powers is bad. Unfortunately, it's the only way we *could* proceed that met with the goals we had in mind, the technical limitations presented and the timeframe allowed. I hate "building cottages" but it was the only path in this circumstance.
2) I misspoke re: Weapon Mastery getting Focused Accuracy. It's Targeting Drone. Functionally, it's *identical* to FA, it just has the visuals and display name of TD.
3) Web Grenade is the power that is being replaced in Weapon Mastery.
4) Yes, various PPP's now have access to FA.
I'm certain a complete list of the changes will be up here on the forums within an hour of Beta starting (soon!(tm)) and I'm looking forward to the feedback (positive AND negative) at that time.

While it would appear I lucked out on my scrappers, this is still a really bad plan. You guys pushed architect back a couple months to work on custom boss powersets, but seemingly at the sacrifice of player epic/PPP powersets. I was really excited to see you guys caring enough about what we considered a half done feature to push something like architect back. Please consider pushing this back till it's done right too.
You guys have done a great job these past few issues, please don't spoil it here. Make these changes a 5th power, a new power pool, a unified pool that locks things out based on picks like VEATs can, or allow us to keep what we have until a respec. Anything at this point is better than logging in to find powers replaced.
Thanks for letting us know why this decision was made, but please consider this for another priority fix. Reworking epics/PPPs is something I've looked forward to for a long time, but I disagree strongly that this is the way to do it. -
[ QUOTE ]
Before going completely over the edge on this issue, everyone, why don't we just wait for the beta to start so we can see exactly what's being changed, determine the effects of those changes and present validated, justified concerns to Castle. I'm no more excited about losing some of my favorite APP/EPP powers than anyone else, but until I actually know which powers are being removed, and what the replacements are, there's no point getting upset over it.
[/ QUOTE ]
I don't need to wait till beta to know that outright replacement of chosen powers is bad design. I'm really hoping Castle mis-spoke, but he seemed pretty sure about his statement about logging in and finding the replacement where your chosen power was.
I can learn and adapt to a change in any of my chosen epics, but I firmly believe that altering characters in that dramatic a fashion should be avoided at all costs.
I'm not in any way against the replacement of powers in the epics/PPPs, I'm against logging in and finding the change forced on characters. Let the player keep them till they respec, that's all I'm asking of the developers. -
[ QUOTE ]
But I'm not having an aneurysm about this.
[/ QUOTE ]
Who's having an aneurysm? I'm stating it's a bad idea to put in place a mechanism that changes peoples power choices. There has to be a half dozen ways they can do this and not immediately force an unwanted change. It may take time, but it would be worth it. Based on the tanker taunt change, it appears it's already possible.
Changing numbers is one thing, logging into to find I have focused accuracy two slotted for slow and with two damage procs, *requiring* a respec to fix is just silly. I have damage procs in the other two powers as well. While the thought of FA turning into a self damage power is amusing, I'd really rather keep what I have.
Even if it was a power I took just to get another one, like boxing, wasn't slotted at all, and was replaced with focused accuracy... something many players would drool over, I'd still be against it. I'm against changing characters without the player doing it themselves.
Logging in to find your characters power lineup changed is an ugly solution. It should only be required upon the next respec. I'm not yelling, I'm not screaming. I'm pointing out a bad design decision in the hopes it can be changed before live. There must be a better way than this. -
[ QUOTE ]
I think it's funny how mad some folks get at changes that aren't all even announced yet. So what if they take a power here or there and swap it... learn to deal with it. I mean, did the concept of flexibility disappear while I wasn't looking? It's not like any character will be "perfect" anyway; there is (and always will be) room for improvement on all characters. Why do you think people argue ad infinitum about slotting and power choices on practically every power combination, hmmmm? Because everyone has a different (and in most cases), just as good and valid way of doing things.
[/ QUOTE ]
Glad you aren't as attached to your characters and you don't care when drastic (to some) changes to them are announced. I have several characters with the weapons pool, and I could be perfectly happy knowing that if I never respec, I can keep the powers currently picked... logging in and finding my power lineup changed would be more than an annoyance to me.
Should the announced power that's being swapped out not be web grenade, that will be 3 characters of mine that I'll consider ruined by the change. Yes, ruined. I pick powers because they are fun, not because of the numbers behind them. I get a lot of use of the other three choices in the set. If I'd cared about being uber, I'd have taken body for focused accuracy like everyone else.
If nobody is taking these powers anyway, then add the new power as a 5th choice. At the very least, those that have them should be able to keep them until a respec. If the technology doesn't exist to allow it, then make it. Outright modifying a characters power lineup should never even be an option. When they changed taunt to a level 10 tanker power, existing tankers were allowed to keep it where it was until a respec was used... they can do it again. -

If you look to the title bar of your browser, you'll see it's a no cookies page. I get the same thing everytime MMORPG.com gets linked here. Rather annoying for a site that wants to get linked to, but what can you do but shrug and move on.
