    Aion

    So I've been trying to find out if anyone else other than Des, Umbriel, and I will be playing Aion from Victory. We've been playing in the closed betas with a group of people that are mostly CoH and Guild Wars people, but we are the only ones from Victory. The maturity level of the people in that group seems to be wide and varied, but mostly lacking in comparison to our Victory community.

    Anyone else planning on playing Aion?

  5. Well, it appears they have modified the rep timer thingydoo to allow you to still get a chance at a drop if you get murdernated repeatedly, so I may return next monday to pad the kill count of others once again.

    Bombs seem to stay in one place. However the Rikti ships have rayguns now that can damn near vaporize you in a single blast. My L50 MM without bodyguard on got reduced to one hit point by a ray blast from a ship. I even saw it shoot me. I was like, WTF!

    Enhanced Difficulty Options - Players can now fine-tune their difficulty levels by telling the game exactly how they want to be treated. They can choose to be regarded as a specific size team (even if they are soloing), and even have control over the level they are detected to be when it comes to the dynamic spawn system. So if you ever wanted to see if your Scrapper could take on a map that is populated for an 8 person team, four levels higher than your own, now you can! The difficulty settings of the mission owner dictate how the mission is handled, just as before, and you can change your difficulty settings at any Hero Corp.'s Representative in Paragon City or Fateweaver in the Rogue Isles.

    Demons spawned for 8, no waiting. Huzzah! My WS never needs to speak to another human being again.

    This post has little to do with anything Voodoo said, but he likes to see his name mentioned so I'll oblige.

    Team Toril (Yes, thats right Voodoo, since you've bailed Hamster has gotten desperate it appears) did Mako's second arc and pretty much steam rolled it even after jacking the difficulty up. Thought about doing the Cim arc as well but several didn't have it unlocked. Finished Rikti Ambassador's first and second arcs with most teammates able to participate in the entire arc and get merits as well. We ended up with 4 brutes, 3 VEATs, and a Dominator. Think we had Bone on his MM for the start as well until he had to log. Good to have him back.

    Ended at nearly 44 for the night.

  10. I think you misunderstand how many times I end up face down a$$ up in an arena match.

    I spend at least 1 minute of an entire match respawning. Add that up.

    Essentially if you're decent at PVP you have some chance. If you suck at PVP you have zero chance, as a 5 minute "rep" timer turns on for both the killer and the victim the moment someone dies and it resets each time the victim dies or the killer kills someone.

    So in a 10 minute span when you die an average of 3-5 times per arena match you haver zero chance of netting anything unless you somehow get the first kill. And even then your chance is as remote as it was in I14.

  13. I have been doing ticket rolls. The ios I can't sell due to horrible pricing that have decent bonuses I have been crafting and placing in the L40 bin. These are for anyone that wants them. They aren't the best set IOs in the world, but they are good for some people. There is half a set of Mocking Beratement in there for anyone that is actually uing Taunt.

    Some other stuff too, but the MB I remember.

    I probably won't be participating in Fight Night anymore until they actually fix the PVP IO drops. Their current "fix" has just assured that I'll just be there to run around and get killed with zero chance of getting a shiny. I enjoy the company, but eh, I like a reward of some sort. I never PVP'd before the rewards were introduced because of it.

    This is all kinds of borked. As a new player, what's my incentive to even TRY out PVP? So the ubered out TWIXT guy can get a PVP drop and then be even harder for me to kill? Why should the fact that I've been killed stop ME from earning a reward when I come back and finally kill this guy?

    This just tells me don't actually PLAY PVP just farm it for the big payoff... what a really lame change.

    This change does strike me as somewhat retarded. As someone that is horrible at PVP but joins a weekly "Fight Night" in pocket D just to meet some new people this now means that I will get nothing when I do manage to kill someone because rest assured they will have already killed me 3 times in the time it takes me to kill them once.

    So basically if you're good at PVP this change sux. If you're horrible at PVP it basically says, don't PVP for a reward, cause it isn't coming.

    I had to have it! I had to I say! So I charged, and then i realized the group beyond had a little more cash, so afte I roughed up a few I charged them too. I had to make sure that none of them got away. I had to!

    Don't blame me cause everyone else went the wrong way or wasn't finished with the last group.
