I have tanken the recommendations above and tweaked a few thing on this brute. He is now level 50, and ready to be specced and IOed.

Howdy,
This is my first time trying to use Mids to actually create a character to be my main. I have controllers that are level 50 support characters. But never had enough interest in them to do something besides throwing SO's into them and just playing a support roll with them. But now I am looking for a toon that can farm - go on TF's and tank if needed.
For the life of me I do not think that Mids is reporting this character correctly. For example when I log into the game and look at Doctored Wounds 5 set bonus it says 5% recharge time to all powers - Mids states 5% enhancement (recharge time). I can not see were it is making an increased recharge rate to all my powers.
I have 5 or 6 sets in this build that state in game that they increase recharge rate of all powers by X%. I think this is a cheaper way to get your recharge rate up instead of having to buy as many LotG 7.5%
I have tried my best to get my s/l Defense to 45% Fire resists over 90% and still keep recharge as high as possible.
This toon is currently level 46 and he is leveling himself in an AE fire farm 4x/8x I have to eat purples constantly to stay up. I would love to get to 50 and get him IOed out in the right way with the correct spec. Hoping I can farm with out popping purples all the time.
Please mull over and change as needed. I appreciate your time at looking over the build.

Maybe I am blind. But i don't seem to see many PvP Threads for Peacebringers? Am I just blind or are then not played often for PvP?
Anyone have a decent spec for a Peacebringer I am guessing human only would be the way to go.
Any help would be appreciated -
Is Fire / Thermal a good pvp toon? Would seem that shielding your imps, heals, and melt armor would all be good in pvp?
Anyone have experience with this type of toon? -

Hello all,
I just came to the game from "WoW" and after 1 week of CoH I am having more fun then the last year of "WoW".
But I do have a few questions that I am hoping to get some help with.
I have decided on a Mind/Kin Controller. He is only level 14 and he is my highest level character, yeah a long way to go I know. I do have a few questions on the Main and Secondary that I have Chosen.
I have only found one guide to this build type (mind/kin)

It has helped a lot but the guide is almost 2 years old. I hope that the game has evolved in those 2 years and was hoping for a more current build and any help/comments on the ins and outs of the Mind/Kin choice. (is it just a bad choice on my part - and not played often?)
Will the lack of a pet for Mind be crippling at higher levels and possibly PvP?
I Think I will just use Hover as my travel power and boost the speed with siphon speed. Is this a decent choice for travel or will I just be lagging behind the group and become a nuisance.
How does a newb level - I have seen many people door sit to level and that either takes high level friends or lots of Influence to pay for the PL. I know no one in the game and have little influence so that will be tough for me to do.
Do I just go grind mobs until 20 or so until I get speed boost? (which seems everyone wants for groups)
Server - I choose the Freedom server because it looked to have a larger population. I am not sure how the server stability is in CoH - Is Freedom a good choice stability and playability wise or should I change servers before I get to a decent level and regret my choice.
