  1. 'cause someone /JRangered it?

    *cough*

    wasn't me

and don't look at my sig
  2. Wait!

Maybe the "2008" gaff was real!

NCsoft has the Ouroboros, and is running market/business missions in time travel!
  3. My, this is all great. Yes, as long as we keep playing (paying), NCSoft keeps us happy. I am glad they had a BIG "2008!"--gives us time to buy the stock.

    Also, NC+Sony=WIN++
(Sony gets titles and $, NC gets $ and market, we get more attention/options)

I am cautious about dumbing down CoX for consol, but if done right, should be fun.

Can you see Mom's reaction when she finds Little Johnny in Virtue's Pocket D with the, ah, extreem MRPers?

well i ramble, but change is good if it goes forward and not backwards

Don't fear the great unwashed masses as long as they pay for our fun.

    I'm here for an argument

Sums up this discussion rather nicely, I think.

The short answer to your humorous post is "no, it isn't".

The problem is that the weight of self & mod censorship falls entirely on negative responders to a post because the only time some one complains is when their idea receives disagreement, not agreement.

I read the entire thread that JRanger was in that resulted in his ban. He gave more than just "no" and "/unsigned" as answers. But it didn't matter to the person(s) that reported him and others to the mod. Neither did it matter that there were some that gave "/signed" as their sole response.

It came down to bad feelings, over-use of the notification button, and the extra time that mods & reps had to spend responding about him.
  5. interesting--one asked about jranger, another said see the jranger tribute thread

it was zapped as it had too much fluff

and it was in the server section

so the idea is a forum to exchange ideas between the player, and also to give feed back to dev team, yet you can't say no to an idea because it isn’t constructive to disagree

i guess with this i go on the list

    /JRanger
  6. Thanks for the real cool look behind the creative process that makes CoX a truly fun game.

Ok people, I have to ask... about the horoscopes.

I fired up my own star chart program this week and assigned the existing signs to each AT instead of rewording random stuff from a few newspapers.

    Better? Worse? Don't care?

It's killing me here. I gotta know. Also, if anyone's vaguely interested in the details, all heroes were born in Providence and all villains were born in Hispaniola. Also, you were all born in 2002.

First, I say to all, GREAT JOB! I love The City Scoop, it is fun and refreshing. It seems to improve with each edition.

Second, I am very interested in the market watch section. I don’t know if the information is of any real use to me, but the overall trends fascinate me.

Third, I am sorry to say that I really didn’t care about the horoscope. Perhaps it is because I generally ignore them in all media. It is fascinating to learn of the great lengths that Athy went to make the horoscopes “true” to form. I guess I might go back and….nah, nvm.

Finally, I believe that what makes this a great rag is that you are open to ideas and new faces. I enjoy reading The City Scoop, because I have come to know most of you in the forums and in the game—AND I JUST STARTED CoH THIS YEAR. I don’t personally desire to contribute to the paper at this time, but highly encourage those that worry of elitisms to make an effort to contribute. I am glade to see that you as a group have been able to not only “keep it up”, but continue to improve it.
  8. Very impressive! But can you keep it up?
  9. Thanks for the good info, was looking for this.
