Arc Name: A Little RnR
Arc ID: to come soon
Morality: Hero (lvl 1-53)
Creator: @Thornster
Why you think it deserves to be played: This started with an idea of simply fitting a villain I created into a story arc. From things weren't turning out the way I wanted with existing mobs so I created a custom group. My idea was to have mobs with powers completly in very different combinations than we are used to ... and I used energy/electricity as a theme. Anyway these are bored rich kids ... they deserve your attention!
The text is coming along but comments are more than welcomed. -

Arc ID: (to follow)
Creator Global/Forum Name: @Thornster
Suggested V/H/N: Hero (1-53)
Faction: Custom (bored rich kids)
Difficulty Level: Contains an AV
Synopsis: The people that know what needs to be known say there is an out of town group causing trouble. They say they are here for some RnR ... but the rowdy kind! -
Ok I need more details (and they are not handy atm) but you should be able to find it with this ... I will add more later.

whoa, these are very cool Thornster. I like the limited event screenshots like the council fighting the 5th, before the 5th was eventually overtaken and council mobs replaced the 5th. I hadnt' thought to take screenshots back then.

Yeah that is one of my favorites too ... I wish I had more of those but hey ! .. I share what I have .. hehe. -
Cool thanks for the visits and the comments. We have some nice lines and sketches here ... lets see which one I will do ... and what I can pull off with it.

Criticizing someone's art on a forum and doing so with tact is very hard since you have no idea who you are talking to. Good art for a 4 year old isn't the same thing as good art produced by a 55 year old that has been at it for 35 years. So to try to criticize in a way that helps and doesn't discourage, isn't obvious.
And then you have people that just judge everything with one standard ... and that ... just isn't fair. -
Woot!
After almost 5 years of posting / collecting stuff on my CoX website I just passed the 500 mark.
I now have over 500 screenshots/creations on my website featuring 70 heroes/villains (and another 10 that are no longer around). I also have some group shots and some "montages" and art and stuff. Not all of my art is there though. I'm better at keeping that on DeviantArt.
You can check out my CoX website here. (Its the one in my sig so you may have seen it before.)
Oh and what the heck ... I can't offer a drawing because I don't think I'm good enough and the idea is to make someone happy ... so lets commemorate the occasion by offering a coloring session. If you have a sketch or inks you have been dying to see colored, please post it with some color references. I will only do one and I will choose between those that will have posted here between now and lets say ... 3 am EST (so midnight PST). Might take a few days to show up but I won't announce the one I picked, I will simply post the colors here soon (TM).
PS. I will not go diving through your collection so you need to pick one and post it (and lets add a twist, only one submission by poster)

You Need To Learn To Draw First
[/ QUOTE ]
I am assuming these kind of comments are meant to uninspire people from drawing.
It may be faster if you learn how to ... but you would eventually get there (if not somewhere) even if you don't learn and just "do" (cuz yoda said not to try) -
yeah I remember the grey one ... this is a very nice step forward.
-
Thanks Cassy ... it does sound pretty cool ... would love to give it a try.
-
I won't be trying the MA until it goes live ... anyway I can get a hint at who is featured in this (I know one but would like to know if there are others) You can just PM me if you don't want to spoil it for others.
-
I would love to get in on this.
Here are Thornster's references .
There is more info and references on my Char site in my sig if needed. -
Wow those are beautiful. Simple beautiful lines for the cats and great work on the backgroud! Bravo!
-
That must have been quite a bit of work !!
The end result IS very much worth it but yeah ... work!
Great job !
and ... I think BackFire was proposing that he was going to redo it better ... can't wait! -
Name: The Dojo
Currently Recruiting: Not actively recruiting but would accept anyone willing to live with the concept.
RP Level: Not really but not against it
PvP: None really
Theme/Concept: This SVG is a concept. The only reason one would join would be because of the martial art concept.
Activity: with one member atm, this isn't the place to come for grouping and stuff ... but the concept is nice.
Requirements for Membership: That your toon be a martial art theme. Either by their costume (story could justify any powreset really) or more appropriate powersets (Like Brute Dual Blades, Super Reflexes / Corruptor Pain Domination / MM Ninjas, Pain Dom, Poison, TA / Stalkers Claw, Dark Melee, Dual Blades, Martial Arts, Ninja Blades, Ninjutsu, Super Reflexes)
Leadership: @Thornster
In-Game Contact(s): Wulfizuki Shihan
Out-of-Game Contact(s): Send me a PM.
URL: nice try
Coalitions: None atm .. just having fun
Other Details: -
I will go with Tacky_Tricky (loved the lines) and Projectionist was a close second.
-
Actually ... Thornster posted a WIP and TA cheated ...
but this is the finished version of what he is refering to.
I tried to keep TA's colors as if he had decided to add some ... frivolities ... to his "macho" costume!
hope you like it (TA seems to) -
Love that piece Tacky ... and Projectionnist and John did great jobs too (wonders how much TA is paying for all this attentions .. hehe)
-
He has been pumping out Wallpapers of late ... I'm assuming he is getting those out of the way before starting this new set.
-
Happy St-Patrick's to all ... and watch out for those little green men!
