Answer: oops, filled.
(you can't SK stupid.)

I love it! -
Meow teams were teams farming MA missions full of Rikti communication officers since they were considered Lieutenants (because they could summon) but they actually had the stats of minions.
With 8 in a spawn only 1 or 2 would actually summon a portal.
back to the OP ... I actually think that if the farmers can now actually go farm on their own in their little mission without asking for anchors, padders, bridgers and so on ... in broadcast, then the average player doesn't get pulled into the farming world as easily and therefore the game doesn't all shift to the sways of the farmers. Therefore I don't see them ... they play their game without bothering mine ... and I am happier. -

Thanks for the review LJ ... I really need to re-visit it with the latest changes ... Lady Canuck shouldn't have build up .. she is tough enough without it.
Yeah there was a lot of ice at first now 3 bosses and 1 minion actually have it .. the others give the illusion (like with a shield of ice ... but no slow per say).
oh thanks for noting the souvenir ... I put it off and ended up forgetting .. thanks.
[/ QUOTE ]
It was actually Captain Canuck with the build up.
EDIT: I mean Captain Quebec. I got the two names mixed up in my mind.
[/ QUOTE ]
Ok thanks, Yeah I'm checking him ... because he is not that tough ... if he doesn't alpha kill you .. hehe. Sometimes I wish we could pick powers individually ...
Again thanks -

Actually I don't. I have made efforts to learn a second language to be able to hold a conversation with other people. I am sorry if I have offended you my making some errors of grammar or whatnot but if you wish to keep discussing this in French you are more than welcome to do so.
Edit: in the initial post "devs to" = "devs do" -
I would love to join both ... I haven't played Big Stee1, my Inv/NRG tank in a while. So I would like to take him along but ... I have options (scrapper, SoA, MM, Dom, Blaster) so I ll bring what might be needed.

Very nice Spino ! Gratz man! That is a sweet way to remember the time in the game and that fine character you created. I love it.

Well, might as well let it ride, so I will join with my 21 kin/nrg def (Fidgit).
-
I'm in Montreal ...
btw how could you be a Canuck without being Canadian? Just wondering ...
and if you have a Villain (I recommend lvl 22+) and would like to face a Canadian SG in an MA Arc try my arc (@Thornster) called "The Heart of Artemis" ... I tried to give the Canadian Heroes in there some fun personalities. -
Well I made a few ...
I have my ice/ice blaster Capt Quebec that was just a taunt by the designers when the game came out. When I saw the "Fleur de Lys" I basically said ... if I can get the name without doing weird stuff like replacing "i"s by "1"s ... I would create him ... and the name was available (didn't have the room at the time to write "Capitaine" so ... )
Then there is Canuck Spirit (ice/kin troller), Capt Canada (inv/ice tank) and Canadian Kid (rad/rad def). But my favorite has to be my Lady Canuck SD/Axe tank who wields a lumberjack axe with her military helm and the maple leaf on a cavalier shield. (I'll try to find a SS of her, I have none handy)
Edit: Found one Lady Canuck -
Yeah the first time is always sweeter ...
Congratulations!
My first took me a while too ... then somehow the ball got rolling and I got a few more.
I never manage to get the good "Ding" screenshot thougheither I pay attention up to .2 bubbles before 50 and then I forget about it and it goes "Ding" and I'm un-prepared or ... I take screenshots but there is too much happening or something and it doesn't look good ...
anyhoo ... gratz again and cool screenshot! -
I think there are global channels you could join that would help you with some hints as to when these are happening.

He didn't anger people by PvPing; he angered people by griefing in PvP zones (TP Droning, etc). He engaged in various "no in-game reward" behaviors that didn't violate offical rules.
Normal PvP is usually fairly friendly...."fairly".....there's plenty of light, good natured ribbing although there's plenty of not-so-light not-so-good natured broadcast pvp, too.
[/ QUOTE ]
See PvP is a beast in its own way and getting familiar to what is "normal" in PvP is not that easy for a non-pvp at heart. In this "other game" I got conned into moving to a PvP server by some friends and I regret it to this day. But in time I have learned what is code of ethics in PvP. That and that there are actually 2 codes ... hehe ... those that react to your actions and those that will kill ya because they can ... oh and there are the idiots that do it for no apparent reason ... our good doctor would fall under the 3rd category (no code of ethics)
Anyway just wanted to say that learning to run in a PvP crowd without being frustrated all the time takes some getting used to. -
Playing by the rules is a weird way to justify being a jerk. The backlash didn't come from his creative tactics ... everyone can teleport an opponent in a bunch of mobs ... that doesn't make you skilled ...
Being as annoying as the rules will allow is by definition playing within the rules ... but it is also being annoying ... and if you are annoying enough and for a long enough time ... people will react. They will attempt to change your behavior. They will try because most of the time it is all it takes for people to get the hint. Now if you are doing a social experiment and not reacting to the pressure ... you are then changing the "society" you are trying to study ... thefore making the experiment pointless ... by not "taking the hint" he created a new "sport" or "game" ... which can then snowball into anything depending on how far people decide to take it.
Anyhoo ... that is a "study" and reflects in no way the game or its players ... he just happened to pick this game because he liked playing it and happened to be "good" at it (from what he boasts!).
Still an interesting read ... -
Laser Jesus has had some nice reactions if I remember correctly and naturally the pantless phenomenon that is da Goober is always entertaining.
-
Love how that is looking Bayani !
Can't wait to see more ... -
I'll be there ... either with my Fidgit kin/nrg def (I think she is 15) or something else that will do / help.

It is a pacifier. He has a bib too! BAB's avatar is based off a piece that was made for the Fan Art Battle. This is from February when the theme was CoX signature characters as infants. It is by Imagesbyalex (who won that month's imunity with that piece if I remember correctly). It is held in the screenshot and Fan Art section of the boards. This month's theme is movie posters. -
I have a 38 or 39 (can't remember) Tank (SD/SS) I wouldn't mind bringing.

The whole premise here is that you meet a small gang, with near-unlimited funds that are trying to become bigger players in the criminal world. Mission one they steal gear (who says you have to buy it because you have the money to do so, they want to be criminals after all). Mission two they buy the only thing they can't buy with money, time. In mission 3 you see that the time they bought was to get a scientist to their base and get him to improve their gear with the loot from mission 1. You are left to wonder if the scientist is there by choice or if he was forced into this.
That being said, if I have to explain it, I must be doing something wrong. I do have to say that I was trying to be out of norm in some places to make this more interesting. Guess that didn't work out too well for you.
The map: you zone into a "park" with a fountain, grass and a fence. The ruckus is actually in the streets near the park ... that was my view but I guess I could change the description.
The shopping list in mission 1 is actually a description of mission 1. You arrive "late to the party" and the shipments 1 and 2 have already left (the "tree hugger" with shipment 1[maybe, or 2 .. but she's gone]). This tells you Gravee was about to leave and you got there just in time to arrest them.
Peddler was meant as "person that sells small goods" with a connotation that it is annoying. I really thought it was a word .. but apparently .. I was mistaken.

[NPC] Skinflint Bully: Hey! We are not one of those villain mindless villain groups! Enough with the boss' name!
[/ QUOTE ]
If that really is how I say it then I will rephrase it but what I was going for is that these guys are rich and bright, they are not as dumb as ... Skulls, for example. Therefore, simply spewing out their leader's name was not appropriate for the kind of gang they are aspiring to be.

Free Spender's description, "The Free Spender have made money" should be "The Free Spender has made money"
[/ QUOTE ]
Yeah I always have trouble figuring out if I am describing the mob or the class of mob. For example, does the Rikti monkey's description describe that Rikti monkey or Rikti Monkeys in general.
[ QUOTE ]
Rescued Chemical Fire and got the "Shipments have left" clue that mentions "she has seen some of this loot leave already." I don't think it's clear which loot she is referring to.
[/ QUOTE ]
This is clarified by the shopping list ... but I guess that isn't clear.
As for mission 2. My intent was that the contact needs to find out more on Electric Mango (mentionned inadvertently by a minion) so he proposes, since you have to wait anyway, that you follow up on person that Chemical Fire mentionned had disapeared soon after her arrival in the park.
You say that it isn't clear why Anne LAforet was kidnaped but I thought
[ QUOTE ]
[NPC] Silver Lining: Anne Laforest was not important. She was a tool. Keep Mega busy as long as we can !
[/ QUOTE ] and his last words which should be something like "It doesn't matter. We did accomplished what we came for. To buy what can't be bought. Time." made it clear that she was kidnapped because she was there and they were just trying to delay anyone following them.
Penny Pinchers , Skinflints, Miserlies are all names for people that hoard money, not poor people. So I used titles of people that hoard money for minions, titles of people that were just handed / have alot of money (to the point where it looses all value) for lieutenants and titles of people that have worked or schemed for their wealth as bosses.
The scientist is mentionned by the minions in mission 2. They are eager to see what he can do to make them better (or new toys I think is how they put it)
I truely appreciate the pointing out of the clarifications in the text and in the mission objectives and stuff. I will definately look into those.
I may have put too much emphasis on giving the player a feel for who these villains were and less on why they were doing what they were. I may have tried to be too different, subtle and intriguing (for example not saying if the scientist was there of his own free will or not was actually a choice. I wanted to leave that question unanswered) and that creates confusion ...
Thanks for the review ... sorry it wasn't more fun.
