  1. Sooooo... you created a character and then FORCED it into being something it could never be by using resources outside of the game that have infinite bounds (forum RP)... then come back to the game and ask for a feature so that your idea can come to fruition? Doesn't that seem a bit preposterous to you? If that seems overly mean, it is not my intention... I really am curious here.

  2. Did we ever finish the Midnighter's Arc? Cuz if not... I want to do that so we can do the ITF eventually... I think it would a fun challenge for us.

As for another AE Arc? I am ALL for that idea. Honestly, I haven't been looking forward to RP nights as much recently and have kinda gotten tired early during them because ALL we are doing it seems is smashing bad guys. I really miss the conversation (which has been lighter) and the actual character development (which has been largely absent IMO since the last AE). I think there are a lot of possibilities, but since no one has really stepped up to DM/GM this thing, I think we feel like we don't want to say or do anything too crazy for fear it will mess up someone else's idea and so things don't really happen.

Plus, I have determined tanking regular enemies on a team as well balanced as ours is just plain boring. I literally have dozed off while Taunting. LOL (Of course I was rather tired even before that since I get up a lot earlier on Thursdays then I used to.)

I guess I have to ask: why would you make a character who you KNOW for a fact (at the time of creation) was NOT going to look "the way she is supposed to" and that there was no prospect of her looking that way... and no discussion of that happening?

Am I the only one who makes characters within the confines of options we have available NOW so that I can enjoy them NOW and not be permanently miffed that they don't live up to my concept of them?

  5. Ya know, people can see Russia from their porches in Alaska... so it might as well be a foreign country, don'tcha know?
  6. I should think telling us more about what you like to play/do in-game should help get some more useful responses. After all, what I like to do could be exceedingly different than what you like (for example, I can't understand people who only play a single AT).
  7. Hey guys, my mother is in town to visit so Nox and I will not be joining you guys tomorrow. Cya next week!

I just about crapped myself when I flew over that gas station. It was SHOCKING. Which is odd considering how mundane those should be. But I really really thought I had accidentally somehow gotten transported into some other game.

To whomever it was who created that gas station: I owe you a soda or a brownie or some Twizzlers or something, seriously!!

Also, use of the Boxing boots will get you closer as well. Maybe use a blue from the far right of the palette?
  13. Can I put in a vote AGAINST the sybil clothing? I just don't think ALL of the unique pieces should be made available to players... just a decent smattering of them: especially ones that all but ask the player to join them. Ouroboros is a good example.

Don't get yer hopes up for that one. It is likely to still not be an option.

I would imagine it has something to do with use of creativity... and bang for the buck.

Creative people like to be able to do something from the ground up... make it theirs, not re-do somebody else's work. Call it ego if you want, but I can't say I disagree with the sentiment if it plays a role.

Also, if you are going to invest the time and effort, it seems more logical to ADD things rather than to essentially add nothing but to simply make something that is already there, a bit prettier. The whole "if it ain't broke... blah blah blah."

All that said, I would LOVE it if the NPC groups got a bit of a touch up here and there. Completely redoing entire groups? Unnecessary. Just improving a few things here and there would go a LONG way. Heck, just to give the Skulls some better more realistic heads and newer jackets would be a huge boon.

To this end, I would recommend the Freakshow, Vahzilok, Hellions and Carnival of Shadows.
I think this really would be a good way to got. Updating the oldest of the enemy groups and using those newer pieces for both PCs and NPCs would go a long way in making the game look more "clean" while also sating our neverending apettite for new costume parts.

In fact, with the title as it was, I assumed that was what this thread was about and was hoping to see some kind of contest for players to create new looks for existing enemies from pieces in the editor (for inspiration) and then comments about what/where new pieces could stand to be added.

Odd. I find it an interesting challenge to write a bio in the limited space. That is why I do things outside of the normal narrative with things like original poetry, article clippings, interviews, stream of consciousness, or just about anything else.

And I won't play a character that doesn't have a bio... so ALL of my characters have a bio written in by the time they hit about Level 4 (with rare exception).

On another note, I think it would be cool to have pictures to go along with some of these, because I find visuals are often key in making the character bio really make sense.
  24. I just wanted to let you know on behalf of Jason/Nox that he can't make it this week due to a wonky work schedule.
  25. My Kat/Energy Stalker, Rustblight is a renegade survivor of Dr. Vahzilok's Eidolon process. How he maintained his mind is unknown... and why the ability to rust all corrode-able metasl in his immediate area manifested as opposed to one of the more mundane sets of abilities possessed by other Eidolon's of the twisted doctor is yet another mystery.

Here is a pic and his in-game bio:
