Stop talking about colour customization here, it won't solve anything! Post it in the feedback thread, and let people here post more screenshots!

Loving what I'm seeing for the new pack - one of the only packs we've had that I'm genuinely excited for (the other being the science pack, which should mesh nicely with this!).
While I understand the complaint about the limited colours, and I would love to see some of the options opened up, it hardly bothers me personally at all either way.
Echoing the opinion of how much I love that Echobat design, and I can't wait until it comes out so I can get to making a character with these bits and others... -
I think it's that moment when your characters do or say something that surprises you - but you think about it and realise it's exactly what they would do. That's when you know you've made a great character, who's really become a person out of your control all on their own.
-
I think I will mostly be doing PvE soloing, so keeping that in mind is probably good. It's pretty much what I do with all my other characters - still I like to at least have the potential to be good in other situations.
I set my "Difficulty" to whatever is fairly average for me. I just toy around with it until it's not too hard but not too easy. For some ATs, that's just a +1, and for some it's a much larger difficulty bonus, like my Brutes. I'm just here to have fun after all, and not make it a chore.
As for playstyle, I'm not sure. I don't really play Stalkers, so part of this is that I'm not sure what works and what doesn't. All I know is that the less running I have to do, the better! -
Alright stalkerbros, I have been playing for a little while now (a little over two years) and I still don't have a Stalker. I'm the sort of guy who likes to be able to play at least one combo in each AT (I recently went and made a Tanker after a long time of not playing them until I liked it!) and it's come to that time where I need to take a step into the unique world of the Stalker.
Anyways, basically I want some advice - the normal newbie Stalker thing. I was suggested to play a Nin/Nin once, and I actually found it fairly boring from a gameplay standpoint and ended up deleting that thing. I'll say now that I'm curious of Electric Melee, but as a result of my Nin experience don't really want to pair it with Nin.
I'm open to plenty of ideas for what to do, so feel free to drop me a suggestion. I'm not sure what I want out of a Stalker except some decent survivability as well as damage output - but I like flashiness and just can't give it up for things like the various sword sets even in other ATs.
So, come on in, sit down, and help a guy out! -
Man, I feel bad, because once I hit level 30 and get auras, I have all the shinies I want and stop caring a little about progressing. :P
-
I think there aren't many neutrals like us around here because everyone who's in here's all up and angry about someone else, but a guy like me doesn't really care enough to post anything either way most of the time, heh. Oh well, we can be neutral buddies.

Quote:I'm over here drinking some soda and wrapped in one of those fuzzy blankets cause it's so cold out tonight.Issue 20: Outrage for some, miniature American flags for others.
No outrage or American flags, man, I'm all Kiwi. And part Canadian. And a little Scottish or something, I think. Man, I don't think I know who I'm supposed to raise a flag for even if I wanted to. -
I like to take a little from column A, a little from column B. Sometimes a character of mine is tied to an existing group, and sometimes they're just their own thing. I got lots of ideas just swimming around up there, though not all of them translate the best, haha.
Sometimes I like to just open up the costume creator and just start messing with the colours and see what I get. Can get some pretty cool ideas out of that, man. -
Just looking at this list (Not touching this running argument with a ten foot pole), there doesn't seem to be anything in this issue for me. It's a pity, I guess? I dunno, I don't really care either way, so long as I can still do my thing on my own like I've always done. I move slowly in this game and always have, so it's not like I still don't have tons of pre-existing content to go through that I haven't done. I solo, too, for the most part, so things tend to go extra slow.
Doesn't really bother me. Glad there's more Incarnate stuff for the people who like that sort of thing, and more Praetorian content for people who still want it, even if I don't personally care for it. Honestly, in the end I'm a soloist and an RPer, I've been making my own fun for almost two years now, and that's not really going to change just because a couple issues have focussed on end-game team content with a storyline I don't really personally like. I got no real reason to get upset because other people are happy with something. It's cool.
Meanwhile, everybody, I'd like you all to crack open a bottle of chillax-o-cola and kick up your feet. Sometimes I get what I want, sometimes you get what you want, but in the end we're all just playing a bunch of people in tights (figuratively speaking - I dunno man, some people like that whole spikes and demons thing). Just run with it, man. -
I had one amazing ghoul ambush once.
Three ghouls ran across from the other end of the long sewer corridor to attack me. I hit one, killed it, and the other two immediately high-tailed it back down the corridor, and were never seen again.
I can't remember the mission, but after the hair-splitting missions prior, I remember it was a bit of a laugh, especially since that was on my SS/Fire brute - the only character so far to carve through Praetoria. -
I find myself agreeing with every one of your points, Sam.
I wanted to enjoy Praetoria, but I couldn't enjoy the stories because the missions made me really, really angry to the point that I just did care why I was there anymore.
I mean, I played through each arc, and was taking a character through Praetoria recently because they were a dominator, and for RP Purposes I kinda didn't want to have them as a villain for 20 levels.
By level 13 or so, I decided I wasn't going to do any more Praetoria content. I was done with the zone! I'd done all the arcs, and actually decided that not even RP, which I enjoy, was worth slogging through these missions again. -
There are plenty of aoe powers that come from the center of the character, and are not target-based. Thus, simply clicking the attack should perform it whether or not enemies are present. This works the same for any aoe attack where you place the target circle when you use it (like rain of fire) - there don't actually have to be any enemies there for the attack to go off.
There's a few early level Dual Blades powers that are clicked, and then intended to 'catch' anyone adjacent to you. You can click these and they will go off even if no one is. -
Okay, where exactly did this notion of "the ORIGIN of your powers changes when you get NEW powers" come from? If I was a scientific experiment gone wrong, I'm Science origin. The experiment didn't change to a tech one just because I started using gadgets.

Quote:Well, aside from the fact that they did use the 'Spidey-Sense' in the first movie in a scene devoted to it (he just never called it 'Spidey-Sense') I also recall many moments in the comics and TV-Shows where he appears to also have a sort of super-strength, being able to throw things many times his own weight using his webs (say what you want about the webs being strong in and of themselves, that's still his strength he's using to tug the webs.) and I remember a moment in one thing where he picked up a round dinner table and hurled it through the air with his bare hands - it's to the point where Mutants and Masterminds players actually give him at least minor super strength when they stat him out.The first three films barely touched on it, but for decades, one of Spiderman's MANY powers beyond his agility and wall walking was his signature "spider sense," a sort of vague precognition that would warn Peter Parker of imminent physical danger.

ANYWAYS!
I've always figure that all of my "Normal Person" characters are closer to the "Humourous Character who somehow manages to do impossible things" type. Like Squirrel Girl! As far as I know, her only real ability is to control squirrels, and yet she's beat Doctor Doom and at least one god-like entity before. Then again, I like adding that sort of humour to the CoX world! It's no stretch at all for me to say that a character of mine does something that tops someone that should be much stronger than them, so long as it amuses me to have it happen. One of my "Natural Origin" characters is just a normal person in a power-rangers-esque suit, for instance, and as such she can get away with defeating huge robots. The Power Rangers did things that shouldn't be possible, too!
Plus, it's FUN and HILARIOUS. -
Wait, wait, wait... so he threw a fit, deleted all of his posts, threw another fit (albeit in private, apparently), and then said we were the butthurt ones?
My hat is off to you, sir. -
The Comfy Chaaaaaiir!
Um... guys? I'm up here... guys?
My... whole life is a lie...
How can you argue?

Fun fact:
Archaic terms for "Man" and "Woman" were "Werman" and "Wifman". "Man" referred to the human in general, while the "Wif" or "Wer" was the gender prefix. It's for this same reason that words like "Handyman" and "Fireman" were gender neutral for a long time. The word "Werewolf" stems from "Werman" - it literally means "Man-wolf". As such, if you really want to use the PC terms for the -wolves, "Wifwolf" is the term I'd use for a female werewolf.
Also, "Wifwolf" sounds amazing. Or maybe it's "Wifewolf"? -
You know, as hilarious and disturbing as this thread is, I've been meaning to off-topically ask GG what program she uses from those 3D pictures she makes.

Yeah, I know that 'Solo' can put a damper on some things, but my idea was that I would not bother other people if I was solo, and since I already enjoy solo play...
-
Now, I came to the realization just recently that I have been much too focused on 'Good builds' and 'DPS' of late, and have been neglecting to take joy in the powers I have for their own sake. I am not sure if this is the place for this - though I can't think of a better place - but as someone who enjoys Solo play, I have decided that I want to choose an unusual powerset combination (Archetype hardly matters to me anymore, though I'd rather it wasn't melee) and try to make it fun for myself in solo play.
What I ask you, forum, is simple:
What unusual powerset combinations for any AT would you suggest to me that are capable enough in solo play and can be fun despite being typically 'unusual' or 'undesired' even?
For instance, I usually would not even consider playing with Storm Summoning, but have actually considered it as an option for this due to how much mindless fun may be derived solo just throwing things around. Basically, I want something that can be enjoyed for its own sake. Potentially effective? Just the icing on the cake.
Many thanks! -
I'm starting to wonder if that Goldside mission yesterday where I was being continuously jumped by over two dozen blue-conning mobs from the very beginning and straight through to "Find the mission exit!" all at once was a bug...
Edit: Still killed everything though, just so they'd leave me alone! -
Can you please tell me why you are friends with her? Because I say you just one-star and /ignore and get it over with.
If she finds a way to keep harassing you about it, you could even be in your rights to /petition, but hopefully you won't have to do anything more than a brief explanation and an ignore.
Good luck! -
Meh, I don't care for capes as it is, and there's maybe one or two auras I would use in there. Not to mention that I still don't have anything for non-ninja non-powered Natural Origin characters...
