Quote:As for suggestions for specific gifts, like MMP says, a budget would narrow the suggestions. I know what I would get them but you may think that the gifts are either too cheap and therefore insulting, or beyond your present budget constraints.
Thats FMP....MMP is the other one... -
Lin- when you give kids money you don't just put it in a card or hand them a Ben. You have to make it fun.
Like you take a wallnut or something cut it open carefully, put the money in it and then glue it back and give them that.
Or like buy them a box of chocolates with the money taped to the bottom of it. A stuffed animal with the money tied around its neck like a bow tie...
Things like that, make it fun. -
Yep, this Friday at 9pm est. I need to ask some awesome chick if we can use her vent. All info will be also broadcast in text so if you can't/wont be on vent that is ok.

I think the OP has gone to this thread:

Quote:Orthogonal! O SNAP! I actually knew what that meant!!
Yeah. your questions have been answered by people here, by capitalist market theory, by the current popularity of the game... in short, you're just not reading the responses. Market is working aok, we might want the limit upped to 3-4B to fit the Glad Arm ResDef/etc, and thus destroy more inf... (dropped an advanced concept in there just to see if you're reading at all...)
Next.
So mean, what did inf every do to you! -
Good... luck?
Honestly, I hate the market and everything about the market, including crafting. I am not sure how you would be able to police or fix this issue however. I am sure it is not ONE person cornering the market or at least it is not ONE global anway.
I guess honestly, if people want to play City of OMGLOOKHOWMUCH INF I HAVE, let them. While I do have charcters who have builds worth "billions" of inf I also play characters with just generic IOs and SOs for low pace teaming. Not everyone needs to have a purpled warshade to enjoy the game just a fun group of people to team with/chat with.
I'd much rather run a Hess then sit at the market rubbing my hands together maniacally.
Now maybe my view is jaded because I have a pretty sizeable inf/IO storage, (just lucky drops I guess) but are people really struggling to have fun on this game due to a few overpriced and honestly totally not worth it IOs? -
-
NT and IG, no worries, things come up and that was part of the reason I added free agents to this event, so one team would not be short handed.
I hope you both are able to get your computer issues fixed and join us back in game shortly. If possible keep reading the PvP University tread for what we will be practicing and you can always shoot me a PM ask questions on here. -
Be nice, I am working on a cold/rad (dont listen to ele, that is what i used as a corr in pvp league) but I cant the Hp up to cap...
-
You can always go Ice Mastery for hiber, but you will lack the 2nd pet for more HP from the set of 3 purple pet IOs.

Quote:Both Xury and TDX are very good PvPers and very well knowledgeable. Both have run some very successful events for both the Legion of Valor and the Fallen Legion, so it be nice to see them helping out!
Yeah, Xury and TDX are awesome guys. I am slowly trying to get in contact again with the vet pvpers who agreed to help with PvP U. I know that some of their game availability has changed but if we can get them it would be awesome to have them give us pointers.
I hope also that interacting with these players will also help to shatter some of the myths people have about PvPers being jerks or griefers. I think every 'clique' in this game has its fair share of jerks and maybe since PvPers make up such a small population just a few bad apples can really give the whole group a bad name. -
idk that Vilh(whatever) guy looks pretty cool.
-
Xury is pretty damn awesome, I hope he can find some time to help us out with some of the practices we will have and drills and such.

Quote:just an update from TryMe2 and Sunny -
TryMe2 is going to use his Mind/thorns for this - currently level 22/23.
I've got Jaded to 41/42.
Just a shout to everyone, I will be hosting a couple of mishes each night through out the week...between 7 and 9 pm pacific. I'd love to do more time, but rl has a tendency to ruin that. Please note, I will be using my PVP toon to do this, so the mishes may go slower than Masque's. Please feel free to send me a tell or shout out in the university channel if you want to join up.
k? Thank you!

I've been asked in PMs about a few items which we can talk about at the 1st meeting (It is pretty amazing how fast people have moved to get their toons up and ready) some of them include:
Changing the time and day for meetings and matches- We will vote on this.
Getting Accolades- If its a "click' accolade feel free to get it but please don't use it in matches till everyone has a chance to get them as well. We will talk about this during the meeting.
Slotting IOs- Please for now only slot SOs, and KB ios. People have some suggestions as far as slotting IOs go which we can talk about at the meeting.
If you haven't already take a look at the targeting bind and macros I put on the PvP U thread. There is also a screen shot of what my pvp screen looks like (its a lot different then how I play in PvE).
Thanks again for everyones' interest and dedication this past week I think we have more then a handfull of 50's and awhole lot more in the 40's.

Miscm, I will throw something together tonight and post it for you. I will also try to find you to get you some xp before next week.

ok this is a low costing build and I discovered something, I have been putting decimations in everyones' builds for +1.5hp and ruin actually gives that as well and is much cheaper so if you are only slotting 3, I would switch to ruins rather then Decimations.
War you are at HP cap, which is nice. I think most healers go with phase over hibernate so we might need to switch around your build a little (drop leadership for stealth pool) but lets see how you play and if this fits better for you. -

PvP Binds/Macros:
Targeting bind:
/bind k, team >>$target<<
This will announce in team who ever you are currently targeting, its useful (if not using a voice chat program) to let the spike caller know you are locked on the right target and ready to spike. I use my "k" key for this because I just think k=kill. Use any key that you want to.
Inspirations macros:
/macro Grn, inspexecname respite
/macro Red, inspexecname enrage
/macro blu, inspexecname catchabreath
These allows you to pop an inspiration no matter where they are in your insp tray.
Hibernate:
/macro hib, powexectoggleon Hibernate
This is extremely helpful and I would suggest using it to prevent accidently double clicking any power (hibernate/phaseshift) it only will turn it on and no matter how much you mash it it wont turn it off. You will have to either click the actual power key again to turn it off or make another macro (powexectoggleOFF Hibernate) to break free of hibernate/phase.
More to come!

This is what my screen looks like when I pvp:

I am totally kidding!
(man it sucks we have to put in these disclaimers now when we are joking around).
