the long winded post indicates how a stoner works. Oh and for clairfication how does BuildUp differ from Rage. From what I understand both give you damage + tohit buffs? With the way mine is slotted I can run it almost perma, so how does that differ from rage?
[/ QUOTE ]
because there is a massive difference between the "almost" perma of build up and the perma of rage. if you 3 slot build up, it's up 10 seconds, down for 35, if you 3 slot rage, it's up for 120 seconds, down for 2 (with the built-in 10 second downtime making those 2 seconds meaningless anyway). -
well, i have no experience with stone melee, but i can comment on super strength.
there was one reason outside of concept i chose super strength for my brute: rage.
rage allows me to slot all my attacks 2dam/2end/2rech, which gives me a full attack chain with just jab/punch/haymaker, as well as allowing me to attack forever. rage also gets over the initial weakness of the brute class- the low starting damage (before fury buildup).
as far as i know, rage is a 50% to-hit buff (not accuracy buff), and even if it is lower, it allows you to hit oranges regularly without any accuracy in your attacks. this on top of the 80% damage boost. the drop sucks, but is a lot more manageable without the hasten drop i used to have. -
yes, there are a lot of level 50 characters on champion.

hey statesman, instead of being so "maschoistic", maybe you could pop around the forums and answer some much-needed issue threads. like, oh, i don't know, this one?

hero planner is wrong on overload. it has been dev confirmed to be 180 duration, 1000 recharge.

Last night, I saw a Brute run straight out of Breakout, go to Nerva, and run the respec trial SOLO!!!!!one!

lol, he had to get out of breakout first? when i created my brute, a message just popped up on the screen saying "you win at cov, congratulations!"
man, i can't wait to get my passive unstoppable at level 2! -
excellent guide sword!
i have a few minor corrections you might want to slip in if you can still edit:
1. dull pain's HP boost is 40%. might as well include the numbers in there so people can see how massive a heal it is.
2. in your resist elements write-up, you said that it gives more resistance than RPD. it used to be true, but now they all give the same 7.5%.
3. also recently, resist elements now gives resistance to toxic damage.
great work on the guide, it will really help people who are new to invulnerability. -
well, i guess since my sg-buddies started posting in here, i can't avoid it any longer...
so who am i? i'm a 24 year old college student.
i have a BA in journalism from michigan state university, i graduated in 2004. after graduating, i decided i wanted to teach, so i enrolled at western michigan university, where i am currently working on an english degree in secondary education.
professionally, i work at a k-8th grade school in kalamazoo, as well as the kalamazoo area boys and girls club. since i have a great love for sports, i run a lot of the fitness and sports-based sections of these programs.
recreationally, i enjoy the college lifestyle- mainly going to bars with my buddies. i used to be very active in music, and was a professional deejay and producer in the lansing area for a few years. i played at a lot of clubs, and had some great times that i will always miss.
anyway, i don't know if we post pictures here, but kay did, so i guess i will too.

it has been iterated many times in this forum, and in other forums, but invulnerability doesn't feel right. the concept of being invulnerable, the expectations of a player with an invulnerable character, hell- even the in-game description, all revolve around resistance, not defense.
i know there are plenty of numbers for the devs to pull out that show invulnerability performs fine, heck, i offered up some of those numbers in the (non) dev response threads. the issue isn't surviveability, it's feel.
at level 50, my invulnerable tank should get hit- a lot. but it shouldn't matter. he should laugh at the hits, take some more, and keep laughing. now it's just dodge, dodge, dodge, 200+ point hit, dodge, dodge.
really sucks, but we can't seem to get any developer response on concept within the set, only numbers on how invincibility balances the entire set.
