  2. I was really behind this idea at first, but like Spartan told me it would, it fizzled. A neat novelty group, but I don't think it could get off the ground and stay active, sadly.
  3. I still would love to have visual sounds in game. I had actually got very excited a couple years back when I read about that...then I started blabbering about it to my SG mates when I logged in, and they told me it was a joke.

I'm gon' be preorda'n it, too.
  5. So, I made a toon tonight. Her name is Outsider. A Willpower/Super Strength tank. I'll be looking for you ingame.

  7. I want in on this.

Maybe it's just because I love "The Boys", but I would love that feeling of 'us against the world', with just a corner of my RP.

The only thing I can see ruining this for me, would be lack of RP or teamage.
  8. My Thug/Poison MM had a concept as a modern-day Outlaw, in a (semi) western themed band of modern day outlaws.

    Thugs: Hedley Lamar, Taggart
    Arsonist: Lyle
    Enforcers: Sheriff Bart, Waco Kid
    Bruiser: M o n g o

But, there was no spaces between the letters in the Bruiser's name, for some reason it won't let us say m o n g o as one word.
  9. I used to use a Peacebringer as my GL-homage toon. It has your energy punches, it has energy blasts, it has heals, it has your force fields. Mine was all human, but the forms (especially White Dwarf) could be RP'd as your powers manifesting as armor, etc.
  10. I've been apt to follow the mindset of "If you have to ask, don't do it."

I wanted a Spider-Man homage since I started playing, and for the longest time I played "Web Man", but part of me was always nervous about either his suit, or concept being too similiar, even though mine was done in Green and Black and looked different enough.

I waited it out, and i've since gotten the name "Fly" and, while still an homage in spirit to Spidey, he's a much more original and fun character. However, there is a possibility you could go forever without getting generic'd. Web Man was lvl 41, I believe, before I started anew with Fly. So...it's at your discretion, I suppose.
  11. I have a lvl 50 Fire/SS/Pyre tanker that I just adore. She also has both Super Speed and Flight because of her concept, however I opted in favor of Air Superiority, rather than hover, as another part of my attack chain, as well as the ability to keep a target inside my Burn patch.

Bear in mind, that if you take burn, you may not need Combat Jumping, as Burn will take care of your immobilization protection.

Another thing I would suggest, that I took on my tank is Tough. I skipped weave, but Tough has helped a lot.
  12. A lot of it depends on your own playstyle and how much money you have to invest in your toons. Your primary would also be a good thing to know. Some sets use good synnergy, like Dark Melee/Shield Defense.

All-around, i'd say that Willpower would be the best. It has great resists to most things, and those can be increased with IO's to great proportions. It also has a nice taunt aura that take your regeneration rate up bigtime.

Personally, I like Invulnerability. It has great resists, and a taunt aura that increases your defense for every enemy on you. It also has a heal in the form of Dull Pain, and a pretty good Tier 9, Unstoppable. It has a gaping Psi hole, but again, there are ways around that.

I've played a Brute with super reflexes, too, and unless you are able to softcap, it isn't overly formidable. If you -are- able to softcap, then it's great, just bear in mind that you won't be able to softcap until you have 7 of your secondary abilities, which can take a few levels.

Those are my three choices. I think that /Stone would be far too slow on solo, and although I love it to death, Fire Armor wouldn't be the -best- choice, even though it has a nice Endurance drain and a great Heal. It has as self-rez, too, so maybe fire would be the way to go? You weren't happy with /Dark though, so that's why I didn't post this one above.

I don't know much about Energy Aura, so i'll leave that to someone else, and I don't have enough experience with Electric Armor to tell you about soloing.

Hope this helps a little bit!
  13. I felt like I had to respond, considering I feel very strongly about this.

    1) You pay your $15/a month for an account, and because of that, the only rules you have to follow are the ones in place by the Devs.

    2) People release a name, not having a concept for it, or they pass a name by for the same reason. Then they later want it. Sometimes they want it just because someone else has it. Sorry, but you had the chance to hold onto it.

    3) If they want such a "good name" back, they should try to trade a name for it. It's only fair, considering it is your name, afterall, and you obviously enjoy it.

    4) Despite the feelings of some people, character names mean nothing. Yes, I know, heartbreaking, but it's true. I've seen some people have so much fun on toons with mispelled names, or names that have hyphens, or periods, or commas, whatever. And I have also seen people with great one-word names that just whine and complain, and have nothing to do in game. YOU make a character, not the name.

    5) Lastly, for God sakes, don't ever get -mad- over not having a name available to you. All the good names are not taken, only the most obvious.
  14. Personally...I don't see the problems with Kheldians having power customization. I know that people say that it's "canon" for Peacebringers to have Blue/White powers, and for Warshades to have Purple, but just take a look at each of their respective starting contacts.

Sunstorm has Bright White/Silver/tinted Yellow energy coming from his eyes, and Shadowstar has BLACK. That alone should prove that it's possible, even in game canon, for Kheldians to showcase various power colors.

At least imho. I just want everything customized!
