Since dual build came out in I13, i have been switching between a Crab Spider build and a Bane Spider build all the time.
I have to say that i got surprised at how better i found out my Bane when it comes to soloing. The mace really packs some very heavy damage and stacking Surveillance with Venom Grenade on an Elite Boss made them really easy to defeat.
Now, when on a team where many Brutes or other meleers are present, i prefer to switch into a Crab so i can take advantage of the really big arc that Suppression provides.
But overall, i ended loving playing the Bane configuration more than i thought i would. I tried mace on a tanker and on a brute and didnt like it. Mace on a Bane is pure JOY!
[/ QUOTE ]
I just recently made a Bane build for my Crab as well, and I'm finding soloing with the Bane much more enjoyable thus far. Though if I should ever get invited to a team I'd want to switch back to my Crab build. I love having the Mace *and* the backpack, though.
I'm curious as to why the OP's build has Poisonous Ray? IIRC, isn't it just a -Def debuff and relatively small damage? If it were -Res I could see it, but it doesn't seem particularly useful. -

I don't know about all servers but there have been a lot more complaints of lag on Virtue since the update went live.
[/ QUOTE ]
I thought it was just me. There was a constant lag wherein powers would appear to recharge on the tray, yet wouldn't actually be recharged. Not to mention delayed reaction on hit effects and enemies dying. The only time I've seen those symptoms so regularly was during CoV beta when we got to dogpile devs playing Heroes. -

Now wait a sec. I paid 720 dollars to get the 60 month reward
[/ QUOTE ]
No, you didn't. You paid to play the game, or else I want to be able to play for a discount without accumulating Vet badges.
[/ QUOTE ]
Mine and all players fees go into development and operational costs. This fee allowed access to the game. Not arguing that. But, my point was not that I am against the idea per se. More on the dollar amount proposed (this was particularly in the portion you snipped out).

[/ QUOTE ]
The dollar amount in question was irrelevant due to the fact that whether it's $5 for all of it or $100 it's still more than it actually cost to get the bonuses the normal way. -

It's not silly at all, it opens up a lot of options for vets who have played for YEARS
[/ QUOTE ]
That's all that really needs to be said.
[/ QUOTE ]
So you agree, then, that it's not silly to act like it's a gamebreaking advantage after all. -

City Traveler Badge: Hit the ground runningÂ… this badge unlocks access to the following Power Pools at level 6, so players can access Tier 1, 2, or 3 powers early on.
<ul type="square">[*] Flight
[*] Superspeed
[*] Teleport
[*] Superleap [/list]
[/ QUOTE ]
So it just takes 5 years of subscription to be able to skip pool prerequisites (which everyone should be able to do on ALL pools, with the level restrictions in place) and take travel powers that superheroes should have from the start at level 6. -

Love the energy shield. May cause me to make a tanker version of my level 50 FF Defender.

I was unimpressed with the Zombie attacks. I think it'd work better if it was more like the Supa Trolls. Those guys end up running around in the sort of hordes that a zombie attack should have. If they all crawled up from certain spots and went shuffling off in a similar fashion to the Supa Trolls, that'd look more like a proper zombie attack.
And though it's undoubtedly not possible with the engine, it'd be really cool if citizens that got within range of the zombies got turned into zombies themselves. Also, if a player killed by a zombie rose as a zombie NPC and couldn't Hosport until killed again or the event ended, that would be awesome. -

Um...you know Dominators are getting Earth, Corruptors and Masterminds are getting Storm Summoning, and Brutes are getting Super Reflexes, right?
[/ QUOTE ]
Those are only cool for those of us playing the majority part of the game - PvE. Apparently what's important here is the minority PvP and how its balance is thrown completely out of whack (well, moreso anyway). -

Empathy is an emotion and the empathy set is about compassion and caring and even with one power, giving of oneself for your fellow man/woman/huge.

Empathy is merely the ability to sense and understand emotion. Sympathy indicates compassion and caring. -

Depends on your math. You'd have to post nothing for the value to equal zero.
[/ QUOTE ]
No, you'd just have to post something of zero value for the value to equal zero. -

Just to stew the pot, anyone else noticed the test server has know gone unknown in the server status? Its been reading that all day, and still logged in....for now.
[/ QUOTE ]
In my experience, it always reads as Unknown when the live servers are Up.
[/ QUOTE ]
Definitely not true. Reads Up all the time here. I can't even begin to think that it didn't, after looking at it periodically for 2 years.
[/ QUOTE ]
It always has for me. The only time it hasn't is the odd time when the Live servers have been Down while the Test was up, in which case it was listed as Up. -

Which would be people who play games - such as City of Heroes - and presumably the sort of people who would be visiting a site called Gamezone.
So... utterly pointless.

This is the first time I've seen the subject of pointless-ness driven so adamantly that it's safe to call this an oxymoron.
[/ QUOTE ]
It would only be an oxymoron if arguing that something was pointless made that something worthwhile. As it doesn't, it isn't. -

Personally, I would have liked to have seen some more major changes to the zone. Like perhaps the dam finally got destroyed and the crater becomes a lake.
-
[ QUOTE ]
So you'd rather have a generic zone thrown together to up the tally then any quality work?

TFs wouldn't require a new zone, generic or otherwise. -

What they're "doing right" is having a monopoly on superhero MMORPGs. When CO comes along that will change. -

Name 1 comic book hero that operates with flunkies... Henchmen ...Goons ...Slaves ... or whatever you want to call them. Not other members of an elite force that he/she is leading through example. Those who obey out of fear, or because they are being paid, or they are being physically forced. Those whose lives exist only to serve a single mind... a MasterMind. Name me that hero, and ask your question again.
