  1. A clawed power-glove reached past Lt. Briggs and yanked down on the hovering flyer hard enough to make it tilt sharply. "Iz dis your ride, sveethot?" Horowitz asked with a grinful of three-inch fangs.

"Hoy, de vay hyu took off, I thot hyu vas avoiding me!" he chuckled. "But here hyu iz, all eager to be gettink into a fight. Ve's going to get along joost FINE. If dere's trubble, or sum pipple dot needs fightink, den I'ze coming along as vell. Hyu can't be keepink all de fun for yourself, after all." Jager Horowitz hauled the flyer around by main force, hobnailed boots scraping across the concrete. He positioned it so that the door faced Lt. Briggs more closely, and then released one hand to wave her in. "Come alonk... moof! Ve dun gots all day, und de ladiez must be going first!"
  2. ((I'm going to try a slightly more comprehensive summation...

Poe enters, causes a ruckus- several people accost him. Something in his tiny mad brain goes 'ping', and he decides to leave, dropping a widget of some sort on the way out.

Kipland leaves, but, since he was the target of Poe, gets zapped into some random cyberspace copy of the D (there's a certain irony to that statement). Kheldragon goes into the women's bathroom and attempts to dimension-hop after Poe (intending to eat him), ending up with Kipland in the cyber-D, which turns out to be a prison that nullifies their powers, or at least some of them.

Meanwhile, Jonas/Marcus found the widget that Poe dropped and snagged it, apparently for use in some kind of war between the Husk Corp (Poe's employer) and the Dark World Council (Jonas/Marcus' employer/liege/whatever). Energon X attempted to round up a group (himself, Inky, and Fraenir) to find out what happened to Kheldragon (not knowing that Kipland had gone missing as well), and questioned Power Breaker concerning Poe.

Poe came back (invisible) looking for his widget, and Energon X sensed him, confronting him, quickly followed by Fraenir.

Poe attempted to escape under cover of a gas trap, which was ineffective against Energon X, since the Blaster doesn't breathe in a conventional fashion (his lower face is actually physically missing). The two slugged it out in the elevator briefly, then DJ Zero intervened, bringing them back into the Pocket D proper and separating the two of them.

While all this was going on, Kipland and Kheldragon were ripping apart the Cyber-D in an attempt to damage the program and escape.

Back in real-D, Jonas/Marcus briefly 'entrapped' DJ Zero, or at least appeared to, so they could 'talk' to Poe. Fraenir grabbed Poe first, though. That didn't last- Poe flashbanged-gas-trapped-seeker-droned his way to freedom and ran for it. Only problem for him was that he ran towards the closer elevator... where Energon X was still standing.

The Blaster took a swing at Poe, who reversed direction, apparently preferring not to stop another Total Focus with his face. He took off and flew for the other elevator, weathering or dodging multiple attacks from Fraenir, Power Breaker, Flaming Earth, Energon X, and Darkvapor, making it to the elevator just in time for the doors to close on him... and the LRM Rocket that Energon X had lobbed in there trying to prevent him from escaping.

Poe got blown to black goo, the elevator got wrecked, and then DJ Zero fixed it all with a wave of his hand.

Energon X volunteered to join Power Breaker's anti-Poe task force, and Kipland and Kheldragon's efforts finally bore fruit, ruining the program sufficiently to allow Kheldragon's powers to open a portal back into Real D.

Around this point, a Jagermonster turned up (Jager Horowitz, although he has yet to introduce himself), having been blown out of the elevator unnoticed by the LRM Rocket and embedded in a wall on the other side of the D. He plonked himself down at the bar next to Briggs and put his arm around her shoulder- this happens in the last post on this page, if you want to see for yourself.

Meanwhile, an anti-Poe alliance was being formed amidst most of those in the D. I believe that you, Horowitz, and Flaming Earth are the only players left in the D right now- Flaming just screamed after pouring a shot of Jaeger into his mouth and out through the bloody hole in his cheek gained during the fight with Poe.

Everybody is working their way towards the rendezvous point, except for Jonas/Marcus and a few of Build's characters who weren't in the D, who are busily analyzing the black goo that Poe had left behind, which is doing very strange stuff.

So... did I miss anything important? Hope that helped, Briggs))
  3. ((I haven't got a clue on Unyielding. I have a grand total of two toons with Invul... a level 5 Brute and a level 11 Scrapper. That's why I didn't answer the question, anyways...))

Energon X nodded to Ghoul. "And for that you have my thanks." He glanced at Klaus. "We have more important things to worry about now than you. But if you try to attack me again, I will put you through a wall and shred your fancy suit to tiny pieces. Are we clear?"

He turned back to Martin again, then glanced at Dusan. "Given what we're dealing with, the multi-Rep may have nothing at all to do with the Council; it may be an illusion on the part of the ubergoon, another faction, or even some kind of inherent defense of the Malleus Mundi. Kid, can you sense the City Rep's soul from here? We're not far from the cells now." He shrugged, a quick rise of the white-and-gold shoulder plates, then glanced back at Martin.

"By the way, Mr. Sanders; when I mentioned 'talking' to the Council? I meant that quite literally- I was part of the security detail for a hostage negotiator from SERAPH to reclaim one of their professors from Council captivity. I wound up join up with my team and rescue the hostage negotiator as well." The synthetic voice took on a wry tone. "Of course, those Council bases didn't exactly survive the rescue, but that's fine by me. The fewer of these psychotic space-Nazis running around, the better.

He paused, gliding forwards to glance invisibly around the corner, then glanced back. "So... yeah. You can't negotiate with the Council. And as to why I kept walking into traps? SERAPH kept insisting that this time, it would work, and they're the ones paying the bills, so..."
  4. *it was Ghost Widow's bathtub- Lord Recluse doesn't bathe *evilgrin**

I still got slaughtered, but at least I died happy

*manages to gasp out that it was Entropy_Aegis' idea before dying*

*Ghost Widow goes after Entropy_Aegis and uses her stupid mag eighty-three billion hold, then systematically dismembers him*
  5. Uhm... I'd say that B) would wind up tied to a second post as she tried to 'intervene peacefully'. Dunno if she'd be sane at the end of it or not, but I'm pretty sure she'd be quite dead.

A), if armed, would likely go in guns blazing. If not armed, he might just get himself killed trying to save the girl, or, conversely, he might just run away.

    C) would either call the cops and march up to them and demand they release the girl tied to the post (and wind up tied to a second post, just like B)), or brush on past because she has more important things to do.

D)... eh, hard to say. He might intervene (and get killed), he might just run- of the four mentioned, he'd probably be the most willing to accept Cthulhu-on-the-bay as more than just a chance cloud formation, or he might call for the police.

I doubt any of them would acknowledge the cloudy-looking Cthulhu as real unless forced to. Modern (western) humanity is distinctly less than fond of any implication of the supernatural imposing itself on their lives. We don't like the idea of something more powerful than mankind taking an interest in us for any reason.
  6. ((Kheldragon's with the bluesiders as well))

Energon X watched the Arachnos flyer come in. Even knowing it was coming, it was tough to see- an excellent cloaking device. Unless, of course, one had basically full-spectrum vision like the Blaster did. Then it was a headache-inducing moving blotch of twisted space. It swept up to the dock smoothly, and a hatch opened in what probably looked to the others like empty space.

He hopped casually aboard, then glanced back with an amused quirk of his eyebrow. "My, could this ever be misinterpreted..." he commented ironically, sliding out of the way and getting ready for the short hop to the Rogue Isles.
  7. ((... so, Dax and Bladewing are going psychotic on the Council, Klaus has attempted to jump me and gotten jumped in turn by Ghoul, Darkvapor has wandered off and done his own thing, and Dusan, Martin and I are all together, despite my wandering off? Okay, no big deal, I was planning on rejoining Martin and Dusan anyways...))

Energon X watched for a moment as Klaus and Ghoul bludgeoned one another, then shrugged, turning to Martin. "Despite what your expression suggests you think, some of us are able to stay focussed. I've mapped the base as best I can without attracting attention- some of the soldiers are equipped with goggles that can defeat my cloaking device, at least at close range." He brought up his own map with a thought, and concentrated for a moment.

A red pinprick appeared on the map. "The holding cells are at that location, and I was right... I found the City Rep there. Unfortunately, I found three of her. With bombs at each cell that will go off if we open the door, killing everything in the cell. Getting rid of those would probably be optimum." He shrugged again. "All this chaos is probably the best chance we're going to get at this- I'd guesstimate that nearly half this base's normal complement has been taken out already. However, I found a large teleport grid that's been laid in recently... I really don't like the looks of it. We could be facing down entire squads of Warwolves and Vampyri, Mechmen, Archons... it could get ugly in a hurry. I don't think we have much time."
  8. ... why did my phone blow up when you called Chaotic?

*steals the duct tape holding Darkvapor together and uses it to tape Entropy to the ceiling*

*points and laughs as Darkvapor falls apart, then blows up the building that Entropy_Aegis is taped to the ceiling in*
  9. *taps Darkvapor on the shoulder*

*shoves two sticks of lit dynamite up his nostrils as he turns around*

    *walks away, brushing hands together*

Some times, the old ways are... *BOOOM!*... best.
  10. ((I thought Inky went with Breaker..?

Anyways, my inspiration is already in bed, and I should probably be following it, as I have work tonight. If someone wants to stick us on the transport, feel free to stuff E-X in there with you))
  11. *cup of matcha explodes violently enough to turn three-quarters of the city into a glass-walled crater*

No, there is no reason. It was just matcha in the cup, and it was just a cup.
  12. ((I'm posting while I'm totally exhausted. Again. You'd think I would know better by now >.>

Apologies if any of the following makes sense. Er... doesn't make sense.))

The Blaster stared at Martin for a long moment. "Talked. Just... talked. To the Council." He shook his head in disbelief, leaning a little to the left as a stray grenade whistled past his head and exploded somewhere behind him. "You'll excuse me if I don't share your optimism. The last three times I 'just talked' with the Council, I woke up in one of their holding cells. Thankfully for me, they haven't figured out yet that the bent cop selling them power dampening drugs is actually a Freedom Corps plant and has been selling them sugar water."

He shook his head again, raising a casual-looking hand to paste a Council trooper peeking around the corner in the face, knocking the luckless ubermensch back into the base, unconscious. "They would have used the City Rep as a hostage anyways. It's literally a part of their standard operating procedures. This way is easier, because they can't spare a full security detail to guard her while Greengoon and Bladecrazy are attempting to puree their men."

He looked from Dusan to Martin. "In fact... kid, you can work illusions, right?" he asked Dusan. "Can you get us inside undetected? Or, well, Mr. Sanders and yourself, at least. I can hide in plain sight just fine on my own." he finished, suiting actions to words and fading from sight. He took off at speed, carefully mapping the Council facility unseen and transmitting the data to the HUDs of his teammates.
  13. ((I was under the impression that Karl had given us an exact location for the Council Base (yes, that's where we are). I went for the 'main entrance', because the 'soldier with the walkie talkie' was said to be at... well, here, found the post-

    [ QUOTE ]
The Council Soldier walked out of the cargo container that was really the disguised secondary entrance, and surveyed his surroundings.

    [/ QUOTE ]
He was at a secondary entrance, which I assumed would be around back and not necessarily something Karl would know about. That's why I ignored him and said I was shooting the 'front door'))
  14. *shrug*

I don't think I'm clinically crazy, although I quite frankly don't care that much... normal is overrated.

    *shrugs again*

I get by. *leaves since he's not normal enough for Build *
  15. ((I'm waiting on Squiddy and any others who want to join blueside before I post again))
  16. Energon X landed next to the team and decloaked. "Well... not exactly a textbook assault, but it'll do." his synthetic voice observed drily. "In the meantime, we'd better follow him in."

At Martin's comment, he glanced back, eerie yellow flames under a black hood drilling into the homeless-looking man's eyes. "Waiting for him to shred or be shredded would be fine, except for one thing. The City Rep's still in there, remember? Won't do us much good if our only lead gets decapitated by one of us before we can rescue her, even if she has been suborned." The Blaster faded from view again.

"Besides which, isn't it a cardinal rule of warfare not to leave your flank exposed? If we leave this many Council running around in an emergency of this magnitude, it will undoubtedly come back to bite us... or shoot us, as the case may be... later."
  17. Bananas for everyone!

    *hands out bananas*

    Muwahaha... fly, my monkeys, flyyyyy!!!

*infinite monkeys spread to all possible universes, pursuing bananas*
  18. Energon X had observed the arrival of the others from his post high above the Council Base entrance, but had decided not to interfere- there wasn't a lot Dax could do to Dennis, after all, given that the phantasm was already dead.

He shrugged. Most of the team seemed to be there, and the others were off doing their own thing, as far as he could tell from the snippets of conversation on the team channel. "We don't have time for this. Stand clear of the door, please. I'm going to knock." he said bluntly.

He gave a slow tencount, letting his energies build as he waited patiently. Then, once he judged enough time had elapsed, he released his powers. A blue-white dot appeared about a hundred yards from the entryway, revealing the cloaked Blaster's position. Then, with a roar like worlds exploding, a thermic lance of energy smashed into the doorway, a column of raw force thundering against the reinforced doorway as stubborn matter waged abrupt war with the cosmic forces determined to rip them asunder.

The door being quite thoroughly slagged, Energon X did a fast tactical scan of the visible entryway and the extremely startled Council troops that could be dimly seen through the opening. "Knock, knock." he called down. His voice didn't even get to echo before it was drowned out by the whistling roar of an LRM Rocket being fired, and the entry hallway was swept clear in an orgy of fire and destruction.

"Enemies that way, Greenie LaGoof." he called to the Bishop-ized Dax, pointing at the Council Base whose front door was now a dully-glowing slump of slag. "Time is running out, and he's berserking. Best let him take the lead now that the pathway is open." he said over the team channel. As he glided swiftly downwards, he opened a private channel to Martin. "Sorry about the lack of warning, but I've seen this kind of state before. If we don't turn him loose, there's about a 60-40 chance that he'd kill us all, or at least try to. And we don't have time for that!"
  19. *appears behind Diov*

What, you thought leaving was going to save you?

    *hands Diov a banana*

*releases an infinite number of monkeys into the thread*

    *leaves*

    Muwahaha... death by monkey-avalanche!
  20. ((Well, if you're thinking of inserting a bluesider, just show up at the extraction point where Energon X is going and tell us you 'got his call'- that's why I included that bit))
  21. *shakes head*

Really, there's nothing new under the sun... while an Ancient Roman, if exposed to modern technology, would probably start randomly worshipping people or simply go mad... there are things that our hypothetical ancient Roman would be totally unbothered by (Gladitorial games, hand-to-hand combat that mostly involved sorta-kinda-sharp lumps of metal, butchering your own meat, open slavery, even human sacrifice to a certain degree) that would violently disturb a modern viewer.

While the specifically Lovecraftian horrors might not have as great an impact on a modern observer, there are other things that would unhinge us just as easily. Human nature really doesn't change all that much.
  22. ((Okay, I'm totally lost. Assume that E-X is currently on a high ledge, totally stealthed, overlooking the area above wherever it is that we're going. I'll join back in once something that makes sense starts happening -_-))
  23. *sits back and watches as the antimatter in the magnetic bottles within the Halo 3 boxes is exposed to the atmosphere when Entropy opens the first box*

Britney Spears? I laugh at your feeble attempts at torture. I come from the country that invented Celine Dion.

*drops multiple speaker silos until Chaotic96's house is totally surrounded by them (inlcuding the roof), with him inside*

*turns the gain up as far as it will go*

    Hit it, Celine!

  25. ((er... this isn't an actual puppy, or at least it's not supposed to be. It's just a robot shaped like one- I dubbed it an iMutt, although I suppose I could just have easily named it Aibo or something))
