Definitely plan on a Saturday morning run for tomorrow (21-Feb-2009). I'm looking to setup a run around 10:15-30 am pac time. Depending on interest, there may even be multiple teams. I tipped off a few regulars so there will be at least one team going for sure.

Though we didn't get MoSTF yesterday, we still completed. It was a pretty good run though considering the 5 drops and length of time.

Well we had a successful MoSTF run yesterday (Sat. 31-Jan-09). Hearty congratulations to MOD 3B, Dutch Domestic Lion, Wiki Gravbot and Ertha! They earned not only MoSTF but all the other associated badges.

Time for completion was a touch over 3 hours with a team comp of 3x trollers, 2x defenders, 1x tank, 1x blaster and 1x scrapper. I'm sure Imp has a cleaner screenshot than the one I would have provided. Hopefully, he'll get a chance to upload a pic to the MoSTF photobucket folder in the near future.

Special thanks to everyone on the team for their patience. It took a bit to get started, but we got the win in the end. Congrats all!
  3. I'll throw in my two bits worth and also say that its a bit disheartening to see Top Cow's run of CoH line come to an end. For an MMO based on comic book heroes and villains, it just doesn't seem right not having it. Having the 'free' CoH comics included with my monthly subscription was certainly a draw and a factor in deciding to go with CoH. I know Blue King wasn't up to par with current writing/penciling and I was very happy Top Cow picked up the series but dammit! Don't take my comic away.

Rant aside. My suspicions lie with Marvel putting a team together to take up the series now that they are in partnership with Cryptic. At some point down the line, I think we'll see CoH line of comics again. Marvel isn't in the habit of giving anything away sods that they are.
  4. Went searching for a Mind guide and this one was extremely helpful. Not just a cookie cutter, throw your build into the post and have a go, but a well thought out comprehensive guide. Kudos!
  5. hominahominahomina!

Definitely looking forward to Issue5 now for the new content and varied missions. This is gonna be sweet!
  6. Or one real long MotD on Jello Shooters or other Hami related channels.

    Btw, nice write up Mini.
  7. I rather enjoyed this post as I got some chuckles out of it. I do everything I can to play it safe, but one thing I like to do is blap stuff. This means running foward and laying down a Total Focus on a mob here and there.

Debt is definitely a part of a blaster's life and no other AT comes close to exemplifying the exhilaration lol.
  8. Excellent post Capt_Neem as I'm sure anybody reading it will get a more clearer understanding of the various Defender ATs.
    Stars for you!
  9. I wanted to find out what this new phenomena was about ever since I' heard about it. I've always been on the outside looking in. No more I say!

In just a short amount of time, I too could...

Go. Hunt. Kill Skuls with the best of them.

Thank you Noir! This guide has helped to make me the hero I am today.
  10. That is good news so thanks Statesman. I've definitely gotten used to using either jumping or running in front of the running baddie. Martin, looking forward to how you will implement this new feature.
    Good news indeed.
  11. Deathtoll hit it right on the money. The real key is building a respec team is for everyone to be close to each other in levels. Anytime you have only one high level character, say a lvl26 and everybody else is 24, the mobs will be keyed off the 26 making it difficult to battle hoards of 28s.

However, if you snag a lvl27 and if willing, he/she could exemp down to 24 and then the mobs will be much more easier to arrest. Now comes the next part, communication.

I ran through a few respecs over the weekend. I've been on teams where we've lost and others we have won. Arguably, my best experience was with my SG. We completed with one scrapper, 3 blasters (one exemped down to 25), 2 controllers and we were all close to each other in levels (24-26). We had no emp controllers/defenders so we were surprised we won the trial.
With Teamspeak, we were able to communicate easily without having to message the whole team.

Lastly, its very beneficial to have members (especially the team leader) who have already done the respec before. They help provide experience to those who are embarking on their first one. I've been on a few bad respec teams where the leader would not take charge. These teams usually do not go on to finish the trial successfully.

So back to the topic, the respec is fair once you understand how the trial is set up. Get in a group that has a decent mix of damage dealers, control and healing and you've already improved your chances.
  12. That's probably the most painful thing about using the exemplar system to work off debt (but still the most efficient way). Finding out what powers are gone and the missing hps. I recently worked off some debt with my lvl41 toon exemplared down to 24 with a buddy. I felt less than heroic heh.
