ah thanks! that Fury Flechette's guide is pretty helpful. going the cheap route now until i can afford the the medium build, thanks for showing me it!
-
I missed a few issues since i last played and i wanna get back into scrapping.
I made a new electric/shield defence scrapper cause i like the idea of having 2 teleport nukes. is this still a good combo? has their been any nerfs to this build?
Looking for a decent build to follow if anyone got one, ive been out of the loop for a bit. -
Quote:I skipped both Personal Force Field and Repel aura. I had the repel aura but the endurance cost is just way too high. I took Tough instead and I don't regret it at all. The repel aura is very situational, and so is PFF and Force bubble.
I didn't take PFF because if things go bad, I run away in bg mode just like I do with all my other toons. PFF doesn't have stealth so it's not like I can just ignore things and even if I do, I would still draw aggro to me.
I took Force bubble just because it's a lvl 38 power. I rarely use it. Last night I did use it at choke point in BAF which I find surprisingly helpful.
I don't find any of the arrow attacks worth using. They have no real secondary effects that can be used for procs. Fistful of Arrow is ok if you put Chance for Energy and Chance for Knock Down. I just simply 5 slot Smoke Flash and throw it whenever it's up.
thanks, smoke flash is really awesome, alot on endurance to cast so i'm gonna slot that badboy up. -
Quote:your right the PFF is a great oh **** button, I think i can keep that.No no no. Don't get rid of personal forcefield. If your ninjas die, and even with forcefields they will sometimes especially if there a load, PFF is your best friend to escape unscathed and resummon. I would strongly urge not respecing out of that. I have it on my Defender and believe me, its a great standby.
Force Bolt you must take,
Deflection and Insulation shields are essential
Detention field is handy to have, it takes the biggest threat out of the equation for 30 seconds.
Dispersion Bubble again I'd say is vital and works with Deflection and Insulation shields
Repulsion Field I'd skip personally, some may disagree though. It repels enemies that come near to you, but it costs you endurance for each one, and once you get Force Bubble at 38, this power typically becomes pointless as they can't get to you anyway while that is up.
Repulsion Bomb I'd take personally, however on an MM it could be skipped possibly if you were thinking of powers elsewhere, because its a knockdown and while the baddies are getting back up, they can't hit you, or your ninjas. But be careful as its an aggro magnet of an attack. So you'll need to let your ninjas get off a few hits first. I'd take it though just in case things break through the lines to you.
Force Bubble keeps enemies away from you and stops them getting to melee range. If they try to push through they usually get knocked down, and the beauty is,
Snap Shot is skipable on the Ninja's side of things. Doesn't do enough damage to make it a worthwhile take at all.
Your other powers are takers.
Think of this for example as a strategy, you fire off fistful of arrows aggro all the mobs in front to you, while your ninjas, already bubbled are set on passive. You run in, turn on PFF you are now untouchable, nows a good time to tell the ninjas to attack. While the mobs focus on you, when the mobs turn away drop PFF so your dispersion bubble can work again.
and the insight of the powers is pretty helpful, thanks! -
My ninja/FF is going pretty well, level 20 now!
I'm about to respec cause I think i got some powers i dont need (fistful of arrows, personal forcefield)
The guides are very outdated, anybody have a build or guide about forcefield powers? I need to know how to slot them. -
ahh yeah I meant critical hit, Ok thanks for the info now I'm going to creat my new mastermind, thanks a ton guys
-
ah thanks for explaining it bigboss. I think i might go with FF
When do ninja get that double attack like scrappers? is it the second upgrade kit? -
I like ninjas, kicking things and stuff but i hate their terrible survivability.
2 options Force field or thermal
what do you think will be better in the long run?
I'm guessing Forcefield will have higher DEF, but thermal lets me get access to heals to keep pets up.
how much of a difference are the shields from both trees? thx for helping a COH noob -
now that Forcefield is awesome at bubbling I was thinking about doing a bots/ff. with all the stacking forcefield and bubble between me and the protector bots the Defence should be insane.
but do you think this is a good idea? bots damage output is very lackluster compared to others and while they might be unstoppable overlords it would be just to slow and frustrating waiting for them to clean up.
also there is no penalty for using fly or group fly? flying robot army swooping down with rocket boots sounds awesome to me.
sorry but i havent played for years and I'm coming back to COH on a welcome back trial, but i liked mastermind alot.
any opinions on this type of build? -
ah thanks thats what i was really looking for was a rundown of the demons, and yea they sound alot better than ninjas right now. thanks buddy
-
Well I havent played COH/COV since issue 10 I believe and I'm interested alot in giving MM a shot again. I'm currently interested in the new demon summoning but i cant find much info about how there are. Are they really good DPS? or are they more crowd control type?
I'm currently deciding between making a ninja mastermind or demon summoning, I would just like some insight from the people currently playing please. I'm gonna shoot for storm summoning or traps as a secondary I know for sure.
TLDR version
pro's and cons of ninjas vs. demons please for someone out the loop
