This is my lightweight version. Perma chrono and hasten , just def is not soft capped. I only used this build for teaming while I waiting to collect the purps needed. It may not be perfect, would use as a guide. Have also attached the final expensive one.

I am currently playing fire/time corr. So while not def, will pass on a few things i have noticed and add too Linea_Alba's points,
Fire and time make an awesome combo for AoE. missing fireball seems odd.
The hold proc in DF is great and really noticeable. The amount of mobs you will hold between the hold proc and the power's own hold proc is great.
With PBU or PB you can easily softcap to all def positions. this will make you much tougher (I currently happily melt +2x8 and still have 2 purple sets yet to collect to finish my build)
Anything with time become very clicky. Every 60s ish I have to PBU, FS, CS. add on clarion and hasten when they are up. RoF and DF are up every 15s so those get put down to. It is a very active playstyle and why I love it. No sitting back. I giggle manically as things melt under my burny-ness

At higher lvl stuff and with enough recharge to perma CS, re-applying it along with farsight (and powerboost for me), spamming heals, updating temporal selection, recasting both time crawl and time stop for the -regen, keeping slowed response on mobs, re-dropping DF (I ended up with enough recharge to have up to 3 out at once and I cast along with rain of fire) fights are very active, especially against the trial AVs. Playing my Kin seems easy now. If a team is steam rolling by the time the debuffs from time are down there is not much time to get disintegrate to spread, thereby missing out on the core mechanic of BR. Although you could keep it up easier on AVs in a single target fight, but spread is not needed then.No, my point was that you do that and you don't have to touch the time powers again til the next mob - meaning no redraw which was the original complaint.
My time is a time/sonic fendur which is just sick. I'd have suggested it but the op wanted a corr. I only said beam because the op wanted to try out new sets and i figured 2 birds.
As an update, got my fire/time corr incarnated over the weekend (well, T3s all round) and it is a beast. With cardiac my end issues have pretty much gone and I am happily soloing +2/x8s. could prob go higher, but still need to get my gladiator +def and slot the purple sets I have waiting. Would highly recommend the combo. If you are against fire, Ice and elec are pairings I have seen about and seem just as deadly. -

Not sure if it will help But I did plan a build for my fire/time using sould mastery. It did get dumped in the end for power mastery as I wanted to remain hero so it is not quite refined, but maybe it will help.

I played elec time in beta but went fire/time at launch. Good fun though. The PBAoE of SC and joy of the DoT of BL was a nice mix with a melee based time character.
Just a point I feel I should make as was the mistake I made. You know you are not soft capped to ranged?
Mids shows the effect of PB on maneuvers and hover as well. But these will drop once PB drops off. Obviously the powerboosted farsight will stay boosted, but you will be lift with only 41.% ranged. -

One thing I would at least change in that last build you posted is swapping the slots in RoF and Fireball. Fireball recharges fast anyway. RoF will be a hell of a lot better that way.
By S/L/E I take it you mean scorp shield right? Still pretty much against using a PPP die to reasons given above, but will think about it. I can see how it would remove the need for lots of other powers. -

Did state at the start end would be an issue and wanted more recharge but wasn't sure how to get it without making the defence suffer. The point of this thread was to get feedback and suggestions as I have not attempted build making before. If you have a suggestion on how to do this please share.

If so, then that's out of the question for myself. I am always tweaking.... continually changing builds. (I have a lot of vet specs). I can't imagine going through that over and over..... I've been tempted for Scorp's shield with my Dual Pistols, but now I know.
I will say your build looks good... I took some 'fun' powers, and have pretty darn good ranged def, and decent AOE, but it's not min/maxied.
Call me crazy but I skipped Fighting pool (went leadership instead) and have been having fun with the new Flight Pool powers!
I can't confirm, but I thought this was how it worked. Will test on my hero MM today and get back to you.
Also, you have no idea how tempted I am to drop aim and temp selection because of how much I have fallen for afterburner when travelling. -

Hmm.. Kinda amazed by people not realizing how PB and PBU work.
But read Salis' post. The way mids shows the effects of PBU when toggled on means you will be left about 5%short of softcap. Easy to get around. Done it myself. -
Ok, made the suggested changes. I see what you mean about swapping for procs.
One more tweak I did make was a def IO in hover. This gives me a bit more to all and means I am not quite so on the line. Only way I could see to do this was with on of the IOs in PBU. I don't see this as an issue as although it now take 6 secs longer than FS to recharge, at 37.39s both are still well within the 120s duration of FS.
I noticed you are going with soul for yours. Had a look at the build and liked it. Soul drain will prob add a lot of nice orange numbers, but as I plan to be hero would take to long to go hero > vigi > villain > get patron arc > rogue > hero. (Not to mention having to do it all again (minus the arc) should I want to respec.
Any other thoughts / suggestions?

Think I cracked it. Def is now 23.3 / 23.3 / 22.7, which with the 22.4 from PBU'd FS I am at cap to all positions.
Had to lose a bit of recovery tho so switched to cardiac instead of the planned musc. Shame. would have liked the +dmg.

Hi.
Attempting to build my own fire/time in another thread but noticed you made the same mistake as me.
When you click on PBU MIDS boosts all def. This includes CJ & weave. (which unless you somehow perma the 12.5s duration of PBU wont be the case.)
This means farsight boosted is giving you 21.9% def to all. You need to build with the rest in mind. Not what mids is showing when PBU and farsight is on. You are actually short by 5%ish.
Sorry to blow a hole in your plan. Mine is going through the same issues =) -
Ah, thanks for that bit of info. Hadn't thought about PBU boosting CJ, Hover and weave. So still about 5% melee, 2% range and 1% AoE short.
Not sure how to fix that though. Any suggestions? -
Isn't it when Farsight is cast PBU needs to be active? Not constantly. As it stands PBU is ready everytime I go to click FS. This should keep me capped as long as I keep my eyes on the button

Not sure what you mean. PBU and Farsight both have enough recharge to make it perma. Is this what you were meaning?

So the new mids is here and I got to play with it a bit this morning. I have loved leveling my fire/time corr (currently lvl 46) and first thing I did was have a go at making up a build.
Should warn you I am not experienced at the number game so there maybe lots of mistakes. Be kindThe build is for PvE content. I took Hover as I just find it easier in the trials to have it, even though Times Junc means I will be close to the action. and not Hover blasting.
Goals:-
- Softcap def
- As much recharge as possible.
- Recovery. Fire and Time both seem to be end pigs so I am building for as much end reduc and +recov as possible.
Known issues:
- I know several positions are over soft cap, but unsure of how to reduce them without major
- Cant seem to get Chrono to perma. Is this correct? Or am I just not trying hard enough?

Rad would be a good option, But i think I would prefer a corr to def. I worry about the use of anchors tho, most of my teams will prob be SG/glonal friends based, but there will be PUGS to I would have thought.
Any thoughts on Rad Vs Dark on a corr? -

Fire/Dark was in my mind, but not sure if I want to do fire blast again. Hadn't thought of warshade, but would make sense. I do have one already @ 50, but was fun could go again. (Wanting to level up a char not just change an old one). As a pref I would prefer a ranged char, done a few melee toons recently and always seem to enjoy ranged ones more anyway.
Plan is to rogue/vigi so I can do pretty much anything that gets offered, so I guess that means down to lvl 15 for posi (obviously that means power pics up to 20 right?)
Best plan for set bonuses would be purps everywhere right? -

I am looking at planning my next project, a character that I will use to run TFs and exemp down to play with lower level players in the SG.
Any suggestions on AT's or powersets?
I was maybe thinking a corr or controller. I doubt it will ever solo but I still like to be pumping out big orange numbers =) But I do want some kinda of support (buffs/debuffs/control, not a fan of healers though...) I guess something early blooming like rad emission or dark would be good.
Any thoughts / opinions? -
