  2. Joining the "No" chorus. Whoever is in charge of keeping him locked up in Arkham bears some responsibility though. But the comic would be dull if Bruce invested in a system there to actually prevent the Joker (or fill in other enemy) from escaping ever again.

    I wouldn't mind losing my unique names if the benefit was the ability to play without the current 11 servers' setup. I would mind if it was because they merged servers to satisfy people who won't take advantage of server transfers to get off the low pop servers.

    I suppose they could always laugh at us (with hundreds of alts) like Nelson on the Simpsons and tell us to purge our rolls down to 100 or so.

    EDIT: I would suggest to anyone arguing any point on the boards, do not use the devs' CURRENT view as a point in your favor. They can and do change their minds quite often. The market merger being one of the most current and spectacular recent examples.
    Posi's blog has been on the name issue but it would seem to me that with the current game setup non-unique names by server would require an awful lot of changes only providing a benefit to people who want names other people already have.

    So if I were in charge I'd be weighing the effort plus alienation of those who want unique names against people who don't want unique names.

    So people need to ask themselves if they think there are enough people who want unique names to go away to offset the people who want to keep unique names and offset the amount of effort it would take to make that change after over 6 years of the game being live.

    I think if we go back to the beginning, the original Reward Merits were a bone to the market haters. I view the alignment merits as another step in that direction offering them more ways to skip the market.

    I sincerely doubt datamining played any part in the decision. I think it was "people will be doing the tips and alignments instead of reward merit earning things so what can we do to level it out for them and to reward heroes/villains for passing on the ability to travel the other side's zones?"

    Because that is how you interpret it that is why you don't get it.

    People can transfer to another server if they don't like the one they are on.

    I'm curious why people would want to lose the option of the other servers. See it works both ways.

    That's valid but it is optional. You could just keep and use the 50 reward merits if you (not you, Fulmens but the generic 'you') were tight with the 20M inf.

    As for me that means you will see me destroy around 2 billion if I am doing the math right (100 characters x 20M).

    I just discovered there is a timer on tips which I had never encountered in my testing.

    Apparently 1 tip mission per 30 real time minutes so the fastest way will be to have a character do 1, then logout to another, then another and if you were fast enough yet another. Then return to character 1 and rinse, wash, repeat until you have finished all 5 for each character.

    So they have made it a bit more annoying to do than logging in a character, running the 5, logging in the next character, running the 5, etc.

    As to the changes, I actually liked the yellow background going away (again). I am okay with it being back but I still preferred its absence.
