Thanks! It is a lot to take in, but once you master the stacking tools, the possibilities are endless. I'm still amazed at the different combinations you can create with simple furniture and proper lighting.
I owe it all to Turbo Starr and Rhynwa for the inspiration! -
Just thought I'd share some pix of the underwater hero base I've been working on over the past few months.
My friends and I decided that we were going to settle for a sunken city Atlantis-theme with modern technology fused in with the environment. I consider it a submerged section of Orenbaga that has been partially drained out and is now being used as a hero base. It is located at the bottom of Everett Lake in Perez Park.
It's still a work in progress but I can share a majority of what I've finished so far. Most rooms still could use minor details as I've only had time to flesh out the major construction in order to provide my friends with a fully functional base. One of the major hurdles I had to overcome was instead of focusing on making it look stunning, it also had to be easy to use and easily accessible by any player. I hope you like what I have done so far. There is a lot more work that will be added soon!

Quote:That base jump you did was awesome. But you got pwned by Larynth, noob.Yeesha, I'm not sure if I'll make it due to some testing.

Hami Raid is cancelled due to Dev confirmation it is broken. A Rikti Mothership Raid will commence instead. So meet in the Rikti War Zone at 7pm EST!
Quote:Known issue; a fix is in the pipeline. -
Quote:Not that I particularly care about these raids, since I loathe them. I'm thinking that you could potentially bring them down if you focus multiple enervating fields on a green mito and super-buffing fortunatas and mind control dominators to hold spike spamming dominate while cycling through their highest single target damage attacks.
If you are truly coordinated, you could have the main mass leader call for Lingering Radiation (and heat loss, benumb, and any other goody available) as soon as the FF drops, thus not worrying about the obscene regen rates.
From the few Raids I have attended from time to time, I have yet to see tactical coordination of stacking debuffs. And, perhaps that's due to yellow sweeps being the most time intensive and the part requiring the most coordination for success.
Just a thought I'd offer up...
Thank you for the input, Seethe. Prior to this "fix" that Castle implemented upon i17 going live, we didn't have to worry so much about the obscene regen rates from those mitos. He even states that the current situation with the Green Mitos is working as intended.
We'll see what happens this coming weekend as the upcoming patch notes address fixes to the LGTF Green Mitos(also Reichsman is fixed too). I just hope we have the numbers present to even go for it on this run. -
Postponed until next week.

Quote:Don't boo-hoo that stuff. At least you Euros get SOMETHING. Nothing in the NA store.
EDIT: Did you intentionally link to the Euro store? Or do you get hijacked like everybody else?
Apparently NA stopped selling T-shirts and they are now only available via EU. This article sheds some insight on why the shirts are only available for purchase from EU currently.

It would be great if they offered the same merchandise they sold at conventions to be readily available for purchase online or even through retailers such as Hot Topic or local Comic Book stores. I'd purchase COH/V shot glasses right away! A black hoodie with the Arachnos logo on the back would be sweeter. -
Then we go ahead and raid? Or we cancel? Which?
-
I would love to see more official clothing merchandise being offered on the NCSoft website. Right now, we can only buy two T-shirts.

Hoodies, wind breakers, long sleeve shirts, and baby tees for our little heroes(and villains) to show support of this awesome game are some suggestions. Plus I'm interested in the swag(free stuff) that you give away at conventions. -

Sorry folks but the raid is postponed until they fix those Green Mitos. Have a great weekend!

Update on the situation with the Green Mitos for the Hami raids.
Attended a Hero raid last night on Virtue. Hami raid was unsuccessful due to the high regen rate on the Green Mitos. The only one they were successful at taking out was the one closest to the ground. Raid leaders had to call it off after spending 15-20 minutes on one Green Mito to no avail.
Since this latest patch doesn't address any fix for Hami, we can either postpone the raid until it is fixed or continue as planned for Sunday night. If we continue as planned, then we need more spike damage and -res debuffs to take out those greens.
Also Single Cell Death sounds like the best option here. We could try a Double Cell Death again but that would require every single person to have two EoEs for both blooms and really fast yellow taunters to get back into place. Even if we do go for Single Cell Death, everyone having an EoE to survive the bloom is required. -

Had a chance to join a Virtue Villain raid tonight and it was an interesting experience. What they've done is coordinate themselves much faster to deal with the blooms without having to regroup.
1 Yellow Taunt team, 1 MM Stream, 2 Melee Teams(Spike Team), 2 Ranged Teams(Main and Back Assault Teams)
The first run was a success at Double Cell Death in about 5 minutes, however the second run in Abyss 2 was a failed run due to the main mass forgetting to pop EoEs on the 25% bloom.
With I17, a new Hami bug is now present in that green mitos still have uber regen even when held. This also affects the LGTF. The only way that Virtue was able to handle the green mitos was to have a small group distract the other greens while the main mass attacked one at a time. They also had to clear all blues in order to deal with the greens. If Hami is not fixed by next Sunday's raid, then we'll have to take it out one bloom at a time because the regen will be insane. -
Then here's the breakdown on teams so far.
Rhynwa - Main Mass leader
Cath - Taunt leader
B Samson - Melee, Ranged or MM Stream leader(either one)
Baba - Ranged leader (Only if you can make it)
3Mile - Melee, Ranged or MM Stream leader(either one)
This should be interesting in Ultra mode. -
Rhynwa you've been covering taunt teams on both sides for the past few raids so it would be unfair to ask you to do it again. This time I'd like someone else with experience to lead them so you can have a break. I'd rather you led the main mass.
Samson how do you feel about leading the taunt teams this time? -
We haven't done this in a while due to the low number of people who showed up at the last one. So why don't we give it another go? If we can get enough people to show up, I'd love to get a Cell Death run in place.
EoE farming set for Friday May 7 @ 8pm in The Abyss. That way we can spawn Hami. If it resets before Sunday evening, then we can clear monsters for EoEs again.
Team leaders please announce what you plan to bring and lead. Thanks! -

Yup I was there but hanging back mostly, following orders and observing. I should have saved those HOs because I actually use them on several of my toons.
Unless someone else wants to give a shot at leading the next raid, I wouldn't mind taking the helm again. May 9th @ 7pm EST sound good?
On another note, I have a headset mic so now folks on Skype can actually hear me when we're doing these raids. -
Quote:Bionukes accomplish this more reliably for 5 times longer duration.
Side Note: Sandolphan makes great guides. I've noticed that a lot of the guides seem "grindy" in nature, though. The idea behind HKS raiding was to make them efficient risk vs reward. I don't know if you were at some of our earlier raids, but we did 2-3 back-to-back a few times. It was fun, but people have to want to do that. Triumph tends to be pretty . . . well . . . lazy when it comes to anything organized (myself included).
The oldest Triumph raid I can remember attending was led by Ultrabatz a few years ago. I would have LOVED to have been a part of the back-to-back raids as I've missed whenever you all ran them. I also didn't use the server boards much either so the only way I knew it was even going on was if I saw an announcement for it in TW.
I like the way we currently do the raids but I'm always up for trying different tactics. If we can use tactics that require less EoEs and bio nukes to prepare and give the same risk vs reward then that would be even greater. Back-to-back raids would be awesome to start up again too. 53 merits AND an HO sounds like a sweet deal to me for something that can probably be done in under an hour. Then that would really generate more buzz to want to participate in these Hami raids and we wouldn't have to worry about having people not show up anymore.
