Well, I can "mimic" Widows in a sense... but can't really mimic SoAs. I don't think costume parts are customizable with the arms with those. Been a while since I tried.
Kheldians would be very boring stuck in their forms... but could do a human form of sorts.
Dunno... the Epic ATs really rely on how strongly the community feels about that. I'm open to suggestions. -

We referring to something such as Traps? If so, I believe there's a workaround for anything.
Granted, I can't do anything about Epic or Patron Pools in A/E or some Power Pools either.
I figure as long as the essence of the character is captured to the best of A/E's abilities... the creators of the winning guest hero/villain (misc) should be honored quite well. -

Funny, I thought about this a while back too. I feel I lack decorative creativity and would like some inspiration by seeing other's bases first-hand. I'd be game if this ever happens.

Okay, in-game since Beta... yet I'm honestly a Rookie on the boards still. Forgive me for not having the foresight to reply to myself after starting the thread to keep updates of submissions. Oh well, better late than never! I don't wanna start a new thread for tracking, so...
Top Heroes (5) / Villains (5) per server (no particular order) in the running (to be updated until 7/4/11):
* denotes submissions containing proof of 50.
This color denotes only that they are locked into the top 5 of that alignment on their server for final selection.
The selections for Top 5 Lock are mainly me indicating these characters are the easiest fit into the story and are not guaranteed winners at this time. Locks are given reward for early participation!
Note that players with multiple submissions will be allowed. However, once a servers list reaches 6 in a category those with multiples are likely to be removed first. In the end, I would like each player to have only 1 eligible submission overall.

A millenium ago, everyone knew of Yan Qing's prowess, but none could discover what style he practiced, so they called it Mizong meaning 'Lost Track.' Mizong earned him fame as one of the 108 gallants with no regard for the law who revolted against the corrupt govt - the Outlaws of the Marsh.
Yan Qing met an Immortal and bargained to become immortal himself. If he could best the Immortal, he'd receive the 'secret to being alive centuries from now.' The Immortal was pleasantly surprised Yan Qing could honor the bargain. However, the Immortal seemingly tricked Yan Qing and gave him an elixir that caused him to be dead but preserved for centuries.
In the late 20th century he was discovered and accidentally revived by archaeologists when there was an unexplained reaction between the elixir and the experimental omicron particle reflection technique used to see inside his body. Since he has awakened, he has not aged and has had amazing powers of recuperation. He may indeed be an Immortal now.

That's a good question. I want the arc accessible to non-Incarnates or Incarnates in progress... so I'd hafta say "Prioritize" most important to you from top to bottom. Builds won't be a factor until winners are selected. And it's a shame we can't do Power Customization in A/E to really capture the awesomeness of the characters the community creates.

This also happened to me last Wednesday. I was on my Hero Illusion/Emp Controller and set to "Willling to join Trial in progress"... ended up on a level 42(?) Founder's Falls Safeguard where there were at least 2 others present. It had seemed as if the mission had just started, seeing how the Fog of War was still very much present and got the "The Bank is Being Robbed" notice as I was making my way back to PPD van.
I didn't stick around to talk to them or find out what was going on. I believe 1 of them saw me, and I felt like I was screwing things up being there. -

I've had this idea in mind since Architect Entertainment (Issue 14) was announced and 6 Issues later, I'm finally going to do it regardless if it's well-accepted or not.
What is it?
- A contest seeking advanced player characters to make a guest appearance in upcoming Architect Entertainment arcs.
- I am accepting RP/non-RP/PvP/etc. character submissions! I'd like to see representatives from all genres if possible.
This is in conjunction with the Ænvasion (link) in which I am a member of that will be visiting all servers in the upcoming weeks...
What I'm looking for:- Per Server: 1 Hero/1 Villain Winners
- (based on name + costume + bio + show your auras & weapons if you have em!)
- Overall: At least 1 of each AT
- (minus Epic ATs: not customizable in A/E - subject to change based on community feedback, though really don't want generics representing you!)
- Morality: 13 Hero / 13 Villain
- (Vigilante/Rogue welcome as well)
- Requirements: Winners must be level 50
- (for story purposes the characters should be established and powerful, so would like to capture that. Also, I would prefer if they are non-comical in nature. By that I mean, more along the lines of The Joker over The Tick in this case. Not that I don't love me some Tick... just not fitting for this series.)
- Submissions: Post in-game pics including bio here or join us for the Ænvasion coming to your server soon
- (Character bios do not need to be overly complex to qualify. Please indicate their morality and what server they appear on. Contest will end when the Ænvasion is over - July 4th, 2011.)
- Winnings: Appearance in arc, bi-weekly lock = 2 Alignment Merit reward, final prize totals over 1 billion.
- (This is more about noteriety of your creations than the cash, but all 26 winners will be guaranteed a prize valued at 25 million.)
- Eligibility: You can't be ME!
- (I can't win my own contest? That sucks! Sorry, @SupaFreak... have a seat, pal.)
Updated Submissions List (5/23/11)
Notes regarding use of winning submissions:- These are guest appearances (not to mention large data-sinks) and not required objectives. Not that I'm saying they will be easy to avoid and background at all. Just that no one's going to be "forced" to seek help from or fight your creations. (Optional) objective sound familiar?
- Top Hero and Villain to appear in each finale arc as Arch-Villain (Incarnate) rank as non-required objective.
- Other winners will appear throughout 6 arcs as Elite Boss ranks as non-required objectives.
- Each winner will choose if they want to be Ally or Enemy.
- It will be known any "defeated" winning characters are not "killed".
- Characters will be used in the most respectful manner and attempt to stay true to their "concept" or "background".
- Winner's global handle will be listed in the Souvenir instead of character bio as originally planned.
- Character's group will be (!Server! Universe), for example -> (Virtue Universe). Subject to alteration, based on feedback.
- Winners can E-mail me in game or on boards with speech text they'd like.
- Submit multiple costumes for your "signature" characters if you like, but only one costume per character will be accepted per winner.
- I will take build submissions once winners are determined.
- Builds (power selections) should be submitted by priority, as I will need to balance them for solo players and not to exceed 100% XP/rewards by a great amount.
- I don't have the Beast or Steampunk Booster yet, but do plan on having it by then.

Summary of Story
Basically, a story loosely tied to City of Heroes lore about 2 opposing (magic/spiritual) custom factions that see you (the player) as either a threat or aid to their existence.
Arc Pathes (8 total arcs):- Hero (Black as Midnight) ---> Hero (2) ---> Hero (3)
- Hero (Black as Midnight) ---> Vigilante ---> Villain (3) or Hero (3)
- Villain (Dead by Midnight) ---> Villain (2) ---> Villain (3)
- Villain (Dead by Midnight) ---> Rogue ---> Hero (3) or Villain (3)
If you choose to participate here and not play the arcs, that's totally fine with me. I fully realize A/E isn't for everyone and this isn't a ploy to try to get plays on my arcs... this is more about saying "Hey, this community rocks!"
I'm not an avid Comic Book collector/reader nowadays (thanx economy!), but for what it's worth my darker influences are along the lines of Spawn or Watchmen.

If you're ready for some more immature comedy, City of rejeX: (1) The Idol Trap (Part 1 of 2) is now live.
Synopsis: The fast talking Herman tries to impress the mysterious Paragon Idol judges with his computer skills, but he soon finds they are not too accepting of him and neither is a local fowl mouthed thug trying to track down Herman to beat him up.
Part 2 may be live later this week. It's 75% done, but working out of town right now...
I'll state now that the video series is NOT for kids... even tho some may be okay for them to watch... not all will be.

I received the "You have quit your team." as all the others did as well 4x last night while joining the Lambda Sector Trial on Guardian through the LFG interface.
I believe we all joined through the LFG interface and we were all in RWZ, mix of Heroes/Villains and 50s and 50(+1)s on a team of 8...
I promptly logged out of City of Heroes for the night out of frustration. I don't believe everything's working correctly at all and I just wasn't in the mood to waste my time getting repeatedly "quit"-booted. I have faith it will get fixed tho. -

I've rewritten and have relaunched the immature comedy City of rejeX: (0) The Early Nerd.
Thankfully I can now make videos in HD and in Ultra Mode.
Synopsis: Herman has aspirations to be the greatest hero ever. Finding himself in Nova Praetoria, he makes his way to an audition in Imperial City and toys with non-responsive NPCs along the way. But does Herman realize he's not the only gifted civilian with a goal?
And ummm, expect something different than any other CoH videos out there...
