Not sure who I'll play but that depends on how much time I get. Sundays I close so I'll be gone for very long where as Saturday I'll be working but will come home fairly early. Kind of depends whether I want to run some chars or try and get another Beta character up and going to try out more of the new sets :3

Quote:Spinning Strike has to be my favorite animation hands down. But yes, it is a bit disappointing to note that it's a Targeted AoE as apposed to a PBAoE. It's radius seems comparable to Dragon's Tail but you require a target. It can work out if you position properly and add CR (Combat Readiness) + Sweeping Cross for a good CC-action.~Also: Both the t1 and t2 animations do alternate, you can just leave them on in the Character Creator and watch, they switch every now and then.
Another thing: It's probably nothing, but Spinning Strike has the icon for a Targeted AoE, rather than PBAoE. I haven't gotten to use it yet, but I thought that was rather weird for a scrapper AoE. Maybe it's just a bad icon, I dunno. -
I like some of those moves. Was running around testing Shin Breaker this morning when I got a level bump. Ended up with a Tsoo Sorcerer flat on the ground by a Heavy Blow and executed SB - nearly looked like he was literally curb stomping his face in.
"Chi Master, we meet again. I may not know Kung Fu but I don't need it to whoop your ***!"
Good times. Love the set, just need to find a level 35 Natural enhancement seller so I can spec it out as StJ/Elec (since I only got a level bump to 36). My only gripe is it does feel like a slow set but otherwise it's fun times! -
I can't even get on my char who I was almost about to hit 14 to get Afterburner. Was on my way to help kill Lusca and got mapservered. Now I can't get on that character but I can make a new one and play him. -_-

They still look a bit too flamboyant with parts of their attire touching the sky and what not =/
Better than the skin tight stuff though, however I still like the original concept's gloves and shoulders. -

It's being processed. I just did a quick-ee and don't feel like doing a full tutorial do to being only level 8.
EDIT: Also, check back shortly while it processes. Be patient. EDIT2: Voila, video is up and in HD! -
Hold on, when I get to the character creator I'll see if I can fraps it if there's still no demos I'll upload it. :P
Once you're in an instance, the powers kind of flow. It's about on par with Broadsword or any other semi-slow set. But hoping the Finishers do well for making up with the downtime :P -
It plays relatively slow. Not compared to what I'm used to KM/Claws but otherwise unlike DB (while it does kind of guide you to the Finishers) even if you miss, as long as you're keeping your combo level at 3, it'll remain. There is a time limit on the combos though.
I miss the howdoyadoken but the animations look sweet. Even Heavy Blow looks like Jujitsu where you swing your elbows around. -
Also:
Rib Cracker
Spinning Strike
Crushing Upper Cut
Look awesome.
Crushing Upper Cut seems to have gone a less drastic animation. It's pretty quick and less high-jumpy as it was depicted in the screen shot. So they did apparently tune it up a bit. Now, where's my "Level to 50 immediately" option, hmmm. -
I got it supposedly. Character select, click the star to the right (Paragon Store) and give it a moment. It's listed under powers, you can unlock everything pretty much at this point with 10,000.
EDIT: Yup, selecting and editing the powers now GOGO Kelvin Kestrel Beta1 !!!! xD -
-
I can't even unlock the set. What the JIFF! I know the store page is down but least they could do is unlock it.
-
So will everything be available. Beam Gun and Street Justice in particular?

Quote:If you say it's dumb, you're doing it wrong.because a headbutt isn't street fighting? or any fighting for that matter? and an incredibly dumb thing to do at that
Eh, until more animations come about, the only attack looking the neatest would have to be the Shoryuken even though I find the animation downright silly. Looks like the guy is going coo-coo for CocoPuffs. -
Yeah at the moment, that's a bit too many hero merits for my alt I'm thinking of revamping for Freedom. But I gave it a look, so you just went with mostly reactive armors for the toggles huh?

Pretty much what others mentioned above. Stacking is rarely crucial to PVE and mostly endorsed in PVP (lolpvp). Mobs in PVE who see through the base stealth proc of Hide, be they ambushes or rikti drones and the like, will see through any stacked version you have. There's just no avoiding certain mobs.
Mako will always see you, drones will always see you, KoA - etcetera. -
It's still pretty much easy mode.
-
A bit off topic: Any chance you can post a build of x/Elec for a softcap build? I would like reference for my StJ/Elec when Freedom launches.

Quote:Have to agree on that. It's an excuse in the form of an afterthought in an attempt to apply a sense of challenge. That doesn't excuse giving them powers that negate an AT's only selling point.
Quote:the deal with the knives of artemis......why are they superior stalkers then a player.....its like they are trying to steal the stalker job and doing a better job at it.
But that makes me confess, I hate it when I do a mission that spawns ambushes of various enemy types who know exactly where you are.
On a different note, Trials have been bugging the PANCAKEPANCAKEPANCAKEPANCAKE out of me lately on one of my 50(+3)s. How is a stalker meant to get VR on rolls or even the chance when their ability to debuff, team buff, and such are limited? I do not like this false sense of effort the Incarnate Trials are trying to put onto the player because it doesn't work. Why not just follow the Empyrean method? 1st run of the trial of the day you get a VR, second you get a Rare, and so on. The game is old enough, trying to apply a sense of effort doesn't work when certain ATs just perform all around better. If buffing/debuffing means say a Mastermind gets alternate routs to boost their "rep" in Incarnate Trials; that's a crutch to a Stalker whose primary capabilities is to deal burst damage. It's a little aggravating - kind of a big deal. -
Quote:That would be interesting, Evasion for Stalkers getting this boost and Lucky for the rest. Hmmm.Maybe SR needs something like Fast Healing to boost regen and maybe a -damage aura -20% damage unresistable not sure how they would do it that it only counts for SR users to give a idea that you dodge the attacks and even if they hit they did not hit on the critical spot.
As for x/EA, I'm still wanting to make my StJ/Elec and the inability (which seems likely to stay) to choose whether to be invis or not would mess with the concept. -
Quote:using StJ/Elec myself with similar premise. His street fighting comes from simply kickboxing/improvised hand to hand combat where his super power is electrokensis-helping him deliver devastating hits or stunning strikes.I have a concept already for a SJ/EA scrapper.
Basically: Me, with a force field generating belt. Because I can throw a punch and fight dirty in real life, but I can't dodge bullets or get hit by 400 lb rocks and shrug it off in real life, so I need some kind of doodad.
I'm going to miss Kinetic Melee's Focused Burst though - My HOWYADOKEN! T_T
