I'd have to agree with Umbral's view of Kinetic Melee. I found this set worthwhile. I've paired it with Super Reflexes and Willpower on Scrappers and also Energy Aura on a Brute. It does somewhat gravitate towards the use of Siphon Power but even without it, the -dmg is great when soloing AVs.

I have an IO build for both the KM/Energy brute and the KM/SR scrapper. Both are soft-capped on defenses (Dmg type for brute, positional for scrapper) and increased accuracy and recharge. The animation times do not slow the amount of dps I put out versus some of my other Live IO'd scrappers I currently play, and the extra recharge simple allows me to stack Siphon Power to really kick out the damage (to what I feel a more than excellent level).

Sure, I'll agree it is not AoE heavy, and for those use to building/running farming style toons (soloing large mobs quickly), then kinetic melee may not be for you. Especially if you play a tank for damage output... though I prefer my tanks to.. I don't know.. tank. >_> But my play style tends towards teaming, particularly on TFs/SFs. I rather have a tank who can hold aggro and survive and a scrapper (or any damage dealer) that can dish out the damage on any tougher bosses, EBs or AVs/Heroes.

But before I get too deep on gaming playstyles of Tank vs Scr vs Brute... I found Kinetic Melee satisfactory and personally like the stylish animations which didn't detract from it's potential damage output.

Yep, count us both in. I looked over the flights so we'll either be there around 1 or 2pm like Chloe said or be there much too late. I'll update you with definite, hard-core yes once we lock our flight down.

Either way include us (Kyth and Chloe) as we'll do all we can to make a 5:30pm dinner. Seems like a good time seeing how will-call badge pick-up starts at 6pm.

So dinner questions to be answered:
1) You coming? YES! Kyth plus one since I'll be side-kicking Chloe.

1a) If yes, banquet menu ok? Banquet looks good. Chloe knows all about Bucca appparently and sounds like a great place to go.

1a1) If yes, which banquet items appeal? Supremo or Glorioso both sound great. I prefer the Glorioso to give everyone more selection buuut Supremo is great too for those watching their budget. So either or. =)

1a2) If no, what do you propose we do instead? We're staying at the Double Tree where HeroCon is at so anything close by would be perfect. We'll either hitch a ride and just grab a cab. If anything, maybe check with the sushi/sake bar in the hotel. Might want to ask if they give a discount with lots of use being hotel guests as well as convention attendees.

1b) If no, are you weenie-ing out because you THINK you can't afford it? Weenie-ing out? Puh-lease... blappers never say... umm, well we do say die, but it sure as heck doesn't stop us for charging right back in.

1b1) Does the wording of my question above change your answer? Yes because I'm spiteful like that. >_>

1b2) If no, what the heck is wrong with you? Maybe it did and maybe it didn't. I refuse to give you the satisfaction. ;p

2) Anything we MUST have (even if not on the banquet menu)?
(I figure we might have some leeway in this regard as omissions cost the same as some included items.) Nothing we MUST have... I'm pretty laid back with whatever. =)

3) Preferred dining date/time? Friday @ 5:30pm is fine by me. Like I said before, just a matter of what flight we lockdown but definitely will keep the 5:30 time in mind. =)
