Well, my first suggestion would be to try disabling McAfee temporarily and see if that changes anything. I'll be honest, I personally would disable it permanently and get something else, but I digress.
If that doesn't change anything, try this link (http://boards.cityofheroes.com/style...ser_online.gif) and see if you can see the image. That will at least tell us if the images are accessible for you or not. -
Just to make sure nothing is being overlooked, you don't see any of the stuff with the arrow pointing to it in this image?
If not, then we have a very interesting problem to try to solve. Try pressing Ctrl+F5 to force a hard refresh and make sure you're not getting some sort of cached page, but barring that working we'll need the information CL was asking for.
1) What OS are you using?
2) What browser?
3) Any Ad-blocking software? -
Quote:So wait, something was nerfed the day before the official release?Mondays nerf was geared to fix that (literally), you're weaker+need help=more teaming.
I've been tooling around BFHeroes over the summer on a 22 gunner, plenty of noobs to pwn, much fun 2b had.
Waiting for i16 and GR beta to take me out of one of many dormant coh periods since 04.
That has to be a record. -
I'm only partially still here, but that's due to my new class schedule kicking my ***.

D'oh >.< We both posted at the same time.

As it stands, Champion is unavailable when trying to access the character select screen. There is a short thread in the Tech Issues forum where some of us have confirmed that it is multiple people.
I did petition it from another server and got a response saying that they are aware of the problem and working to fix it as quickly as possible.
I posted this here since some people probably wouldn't think to check the Tech forum. -
Just as an update, I petition'd it from another server and got a response saying that they are aware and working to correct the problem.
Just throwing this up there in hopes that we don't spam the support team over this.
EDIT: Also, going to crosspost this information on the Champion server forums since some people probably won't think to look here. -
Um.. you could theoretically set up a VPN to your home and leave your computer running so you can access it via something like VNC and be able to launch CoH that way...
Though, the chances of a workplace that restricts you from web browsing allowing you to set up a VPN are slim. -
Yeah, I logged on to Infinity and I'm talking with people on Champion, so it much just be the database server.
I miss my home -
I just got this as well. But I'm able to access other servers (at least as far as the character select screen).

In retrospect (because of Kat's comment) I do want to say that all of my posting in this thread (ignoring the back-and-forth between DaveMebs and myself) is simply meant to be suggestions that I feel would help out. I am in no way wishing to tell someone how to run their event because otherwise I would be running one myself. Simply put, I understood this test run as a chance to garner feedback, so I was offering mine.

Well, I personally almost always roll in the 35-39 range. Just in generally better recipes there.
A lot of it boils down to how much you need the money imo. If you really need the money to be able to IO the toon, then I would suggest going for the "surefire" method. Otherwise, if you can stand a little bit less, then go for the chance and you might strike it big.
For what its worth though, you might want to do the ~8 random rolls (you're actually 7 merits short of 8 rolls, so be careful) first, then if you don't strike it rich, go ahead with the surefire thing if you need the money to do what you need to do.
A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush after all. -
This post never should've been made honestly. I spoke out of anger and used much harsher words than I should have. Out of respect for something that should've stayed between the involved parties, I'm choosing to edit this post and delete the following ones.

Quote:This may be a valid point and something I've been wondering as well (haven't been able to get to test to get my own numbers, but I have been following this thread). What if the bug is something along the lines of, the drops that were supposed to go to you when you turn the team size up instead drop to some sort of virtual player that was used to "pad" the team.I still hold the bug has to do with the number of real toons Vs. "virtual" toons as noted by Ignitros's post yesterday. I hope to be able to back this up with my own tests tonight.
I wonder if the drops are calculated at mob creation or at mob defeat. that may have something to do with the difference Ignitros saw.
Might not even be how they handle those new team sizes, but its something worth looking at. -
I would agree in some regards, I would say we had more trouble with the non-AV mobs than the AV ones, partially because the AVs kept running all over the map and aggroing all these other groups, then we would have to fight more than needed to clear the AV's group. At the very least, an indoor map would've gone a long way at making this more enjoyable.
But yes, even with targeting binds, we spent more time searching than actually fighting, mainly because the map chosen has a lot of places for them to hide just out of view. -

Quote:I actually doubt this. No offense to Ping nor his ability to make money, but that's just how bad the exchange rate is. (2 billion inf = 4 million prestige or a 500:1 ratio)If Ping wanted he could convert his influence to Prestige and dbl the total of both Stryke Force and PoN and have enough left over to have UHB beat too. Thing is Ping isn't concentrating on an imaginary accomplishment. The bases are equipped and stylish so why do they need 50 billion extra influence?

Your reaction is actually in the screenshot, I just had to smudge out a couple words so I could post it here without getting yelled at.

Quote:There you go, foiling our plans.Black_Strike,
Do not listen to the market apologists. I was part of their cabal, but I'm going to break the silence. I don't care what they threaten. What they've done to purples is only the beginning. It's true that casual players can no longer purple-out their warshades, but that's just the beginning. They won't be satisfied until common IOs are selling for tens of millions. My advice: stock up now. You've been warned.
