I see other league members bragging all the time about purple drops on trials that I run.
I'm sure the rewards are fair for the size of the team/league, as they are while running normal content.

I don't think it's as bad as some of you are making it out to be. Sure, there are things that need to be fixed, but the ATs are in a better shape now than they have been since they released.

Quote:Hmm, a layla wearing nothing but a slip made of paper. That outfit sounds pretty awesome.ORRR i could make an outfit in psychic paper and then you would see me in whatever you thought was the best costume

Skyrim Costume done! It's so awesome, I might keep it after the event is over.
Edit: Retro Costume done too!
Warlock done as well.
Robot one is done (but it sucks)
Looks like I'm ready for the event, costume wise. -
*Note to self: People like cheesy video game joke themes*

Quote:I used to think like this until I had to sit through getting some fillers to do some specialized event TF's.Sorry but even as one who mainly solos when not leading pug tfs, I cant agree with this, the fact is if TFs didnt force me to form groups Id just solo them all the time to.
Quote:Sometimes it is good to FORCE a group for story purposes. Outside of some super builds few can solo and AV at lvl, all tfs MUST end with a AV class fight or destroy the reason they reward more then any other content merit reward per time ratio. Which isa big draw in getting players to join them.
I didn't say it had to. Feel free to take that chip off your shoulder. -

As some of you know, I have been planning an event for Layla's birthday recently. And now, here it is! (Technically, her b-day isn't until the week after this event, but it needs to be held earlier for RL reasons.)
February 4th
You didn't see nothin'.
11am EST
This will be a ninja themed Silver Mantis Strike Force, in which all members will be required to have some form of combat stealth. In other words, I'm looking for Stalkers, Banes, Energy Aura people, illusionists, Warshades, Dark Armors...I'll even take a player with stealth, as long as you promise to leave it on for the duration of the task force.
If I can get multiple teams going, I would like to have a second team composed of Ninja Masterminds (to whom the stealth rule would not apply). If you choose to join this team, please make sure to have an appropriate costume.
What are you, some kind of Wizard?!
12:30pm EST
This will be a wizard themed Mortimer Kal Strike Force, in which all characters will be required to look like a wizard. Now, to be clear, when I say wizard, I want to see something that looks like Gandalf. If you show up as some kind of magical pixie, I'm going to laugh at you. Unless you're Layla. Then I might steal you.
Powersets and origins aren't required to be magically themed, but it would be nice.
These aren't the droids you're looking for.
2:30pm EST
This will be a robot themed Tin Mage Task Force, wherein all the participants will be required to bring a robot character. Bonus points if your powersets are thematically appropriate.
I was going to rewrite history, but then I took an arrow to the knee.
3:30pm EST
This will be a Skyrim themed ITF. For those who haven't played Skyrim, bring a leather/scale/medieval set of armor, and you should be fine. For those who have played Skyrim, please try to bring powersets thematically appropriate to that game.
A Stone's throw from Friday.
4:30pm EST
This will be an alien themed Moonfire Taskforce. Bonus points if you bring a kheldian, but it isn't required. And yes, this task force is shameless plugging.
All your base are belong to us.
(You have no chance to survive make your time.)
6pm EST
This will be a retro/cheesy Sci-Fi/gaming themed Hess Task Force. For costume ideas, look up some video game boxart from the 80s.
Please try your best to come up with a costume for these events, I'd hate to turn away people who didn't take a couple minutes to try to fit the theme. As long as I can see you've tried, you're in.
Oh, and there is one last event. It shall be....
The Peregrine Party!8pm EST
This will be a secret afterparty hosted in a secret location in PI. To find it's location, you will have to send me a tell, and I will beam you to my location. If you manage to find it on your own, kudos to you for party crashing.
Anyway, at this party will be a Costume Contest. All of the events throughout the day, as you have noticed, required a theme. In this CC, you will pick one of those themes and compete against the others for the Grand Prize of 500 million Influence. There will be a runner up, who will win 250 million influence.

I agree with most of your suggestions (I wouldn't agree with mixing up the enemies unless the story has it make sense), and I'd like to add being able to start them with less than the minimum requirement of party members. Just have the TF spawn enemies at the minimum difficulty the TF would (as of now) require, and let people solo or duo them to their hearts content, if they so choose.

Quote:If I had to guess, you're using Shadowy Presence, no?Here's my first and still favorite Warshade, Iscariot, recently redesigned his look with various bells and whistles available to me and fairly pleased with the overall effect.

The only mission that taking a glowie (from the mission holder) would annoy me on is on a Safeguard/Mayhem weapons deal. Then again, I haven't picked up a bank mission in years, so...

They will keep respawning periodically until you manage to take down the obelisks, yes. And the obelisks have quite a high regeneration rate. And even if you manage to take them all down together, you still have to worry about the final boss, who also goes invulnerable rather often, with even more spawns to fight at the same time.
So, I kind of doubt it, but it would be something interesting to try. -

Quote:Let me put it another way.Don't want to seem disrespectful at all but for me I am looking for people who would jump at that. Thats the only one I want to do and it looks like I would be transferring from my server to do it too, because I have been finding people. 6/8 lfm.
Like THB said, Kheldian Fridays is a place for people who like playing khelds to come and have some fun. I don't ask that people from other servers transfer over. I can understand not wanting to leave a home server--it's generally something I wouldn't do myself. That said, if one wanted to, cool. Otherwise, they can start a new kheldian on this server if they wanted to just team up with us occasionally. I've personally helped a couple members get a bump in level so that they could participate in our events, and try to keep that in mind when deciding on which event we are going to do for that week.
That is one of the reasons I don't plan my schedule in advance. Well, that, and I'm a spontaneous guy. I even ask that people let me know if they have anything they would like to do, because I get undecided sometimes, and I like to keep things mixed up. The priority is always having fun and making sure everyone feels welcome. So, if the reason you would want to transfer over is to specifically run one task force (The STF), I think you're probably wanting to join us for the wrong reasons, and will be disappointed. Last time we tried, we didn't have enough regulars logged in that had their level 50s and could join for the STF. It was rather an uncommon night, as we've obviously had enough people to run other level 50 events. One day one of us will feel like doing the STF again, and we will. And we will probably beat the pants off of it.
Now, if there is anything anyone else would like to say about this, I would ask that you take it to PMs or on another thread, because I can see where a conversation like this might go, and this really isn't the place. -

Quote:*shrug* Have fun on your server, then, I suppose. I guess the rest of what we can pull off means nothing in comparsion to not being able to form for an STF the one time we tried it.I have been thinking about transferring to Protector, as it is something of an unofficial Kheldian server? Things may not form for many reasons. I just wanted to know which it was. Lack of interest in that server for such a thing would make it no better than the server I am on so I would have no reason to move.

Layla and I have submitted our screenies, and I look forward to seeing everyone else's results. Good luck guys!

I thought it was obvious? We attempted to form, it didn't happen. Not enough people cared to attend, or were high enough. We had to settle for something with a smaller team size and/or level requirement.
-
So, we started off warming up our khelds on a Warshadenfest. For some reason, I was too herp derp to take pictures for that. My bad.
Anyhow...
We then ran the WTF, which was the 1st respec mission.
Afterwards, was a LGTF run. Good times were had by all, especially when I broke out the Rum, Vodka, and root beer.
Until next Friday!
