Either your attitude is consistent between pvp & the 'real' game, or it isn't.

Well like I said, I've never heard of any other places where you can stand around and kill things while AFK. If you want to share, I'd love to get in on the action.

I would guess, though, that those things are hitting back and therefore you actually have some "risk". AFK arena farming is the best rewards in game for no risk. Not exactly the same thing.

My mastermind made quite a bit afk farming in St. Martial. There's this road where lots of Freaks and Wailers wander in and my bots blasted them.

Granted I had to come by and click the spacebar once in a while but I also had to setup my arena battles and summon my pets once every half hour also. The MM move was much easier and at the time very profitable.

But I would add your experiences you listed where you did so well on Sunday would be a bit on the extremely good side. I went over 2 hours with no drops in the arena on Friday and was about to give up when I got one.

I'm talking about the 'rest' of the game.
Do you feel they need to "fix" those rewards as well as the arena?

Haha, hey guys don't jump down my throat. I was right there farming the recipes too. I'm just being honest about the fact that I knew it wasn't going to last long and I had a pretty good idea that it could be considered an exploit.

Sunday I farmed for about 4-5 hours and got 1 recipe worth 600m, two worth 80m each and 4 or 5 in the 10-20m range.

I agree that they should fix afk farming. It's lame and should be fixed. I also agree that fixing it by turning off ALL arena rewards is ridiculous. I also agree that they're valuable because they're extremely rare, as I implied in an earlier post, so turning off arena drops is only going to make them MORE valuable and move the farming to pvp zones. That works for me, I'll just farm there until they nerf that too...and that's the whole problem of course.

So yeah, let's be clear and honest here. 1 - I did it too. 2 - I'm not calling anyone a 'dirty exploiter'. 3 - We're all (well most of us) intelligent people and knew EXACTLY what we were doing.

Going afk for 30 mins and coming back with a drop worth 600m inf is pretty obviously an exploit imo.

I appreciate that you'd like the devs to be more specific about it, and I appreciate that the way they handles borderline stuff in the past was terrible...but comon, you're not fooling me with this charade. AFK farming of the most valuable recipes in the game is an exploit.

EDIT - Oh and btw, it's entirely possible they turned it off for now until they figure out how to handle it.

FYI, I was getting drops about 1:75-90 in the arena last weekend.

There was something in the patch notes saying they fixed something like this...

Can't say we didn't see it coming after it got blabbed and then some on the market boards. I was actually VERY surprised to see so many people boasting about how much money they were making from a pretty obvious...not working as intended situation.

I figured they were just letting us farm up the recipes to bring the price down to where it wasn't worthwhile to farm anymore. Apparently though, they just want the PVP recipes to be more rare than purples.

Well, I got my 600m recipe just in time, it seems.

Make sure you always buy recipes and craft. Never buy crafted IO's unless you don't mind paying 100%+ markup. If you want to fund your whole IO experience, buy three of every recipe instead of one. Craft them all and sell two and you should be in the black the entire time...might even come out ahead if you're patient!

Here here! I concur and wish to add my voice of thanks. I have been playing my "main" brute less and less so I started marketeering on a new toon blue-side. She broke 100mil last night by crapping a Zephyr KB for 50m profit! My "main" has something like 200-300mil in lowball, long term orders and 100m in cash.

Making money is trivial at this point and I appreciate all the help and support that was offered in here.

Well, I'm assuming you're playing in Windowed Mode and taking a normal Windows SS and pasting into GIMP. If you do that, there's no reason why the proportions should be out of whack.

Download GIMP and fix it manually. It's not that hard for someone who is smart enough to play an MMO.

I just got one last night, L29 blueside freedom. Not the best Gold roll, but not the worst. Still deciding whether or not to keep it. (also got a Pacing of the Turtle Proc and Touch of Death 3-way...waste of 10k tix!)

I just dont see more damage being a reason to not want Permadom. You cant get it in PvP anymore but in PvE having complete mez resistance as well as resistance to KB and Repel effects are priceless to a Dominator IMO

Oh and I was thinking of the so called Super-Permadom-3, which doesn't need hasten to have permadom. You're right about perma-hasten iirc.
