  1. I have to agree with Sniktch and Justaris (and the original poster) on sending tells. Communication is one of the most important things in a team. Sure, in a group that knows each other, you can react as a team without communication, but in a random PUG it is essential to lay down communication in the beginning to ensure that the team runs well.

If a leader isn't willing to spend 5 seconds doing a quick tell out asking me to join, than they aren't likely to actually 'lead' the team once we get into a battle.

And that is the kind of team I really don't want to be a part of.
  2. Thanks for the post Oiler.

On the other poster - reinterate Oiler's comment. If you disagree, post your own guide. /Sonic is not played often - and this is the first guide to the secondary. Would love to see more.
  3. I read it all - and found it good.

Very entertaining and yet informative. My SS/Fire brute is only 22, but I've found similiar lessons. My power picks will likely look like yours...although taken at different time and different slotting priorities.

    Thanks for sharing your experience.
  4. Nice one Aurora_Girl.

I've just starting playing a fire / dark and loving the damage increase from my dark/kin.

I do have a question for you - endurance. Does it make sense to respec back into ROF?
  5. I use the technique Frost mentions on my tank and it works great after a toggle drop. Just keep hitting that quick key to bring up everything again. Prioritize them though so that the most important ones (or fastest activations) are on the left so that they come up first.
  6. I've done the respec several times.

    1) TP Foe does work.
This ideally needs to be done stealthed / hidden (or the TP Foer targeting off of the stalker).
What you do is take the vines that are in sight of the AV and group them in chunks of 5 out of sight. We had 24 vines and had about 3 groups of 5 ish. You are not KILLING them, you are getting them ready for future killing.
This ideally should be done as the rest of the team hunts the CoT to minimize time. Still, doing this will take longer than it takes to kill CoT.

Than, when they are all out of sight of the AV, start killing. Another benifit of having them in chunks is your team's AOEs can be used. Use the brutes/stalkers more on the single vines above the AV and the MM and corruptors on the lower ones.

    2) Ambushes
The 3rd ambush I believe only happens if you didn't clear out the CoT in the room. What happens it they rush during your attacking of the AV.

Additionally, I've seen both 1 and 2 ambushes. I believe there was only 1 ambush during my last time...but that was because we just ignored them and killed the AV very fast (joy of having two brutes and melee MM pets).

    3) Vine Calculation
There are some ways to keep the count to the minmum of 24 - not necessary ususally, but if it really is giving you trouble, read the boards to see (or send me a message).
  7. I've done the respec several times for various reasons. I think in general I agree with your recommendations. I think a good working team can do it regardless, but I would be very cautious about starting a respec without at least one brute and someone with an area heal (/dark MM, most corruptors).

I'm going to pass on commenting that corruptors aren't dmg dealers - I do agree you look to have them on your team for their secondary - but the comment still irks.

I've done it without a MM, but that time we had two brutes and a stalker.

    Not essential, but helpful
    1) TP Foe (for the vines)
    2) Recall (either with Stealth, or someone else with Grant Invisibility)
    3) A Powerful Debuff (/rad's 3 powers ; /dark's DN ; etc) to slap on the AV.
