I got Avatea to sticky the thread. It shouldn't be hard to find now.

I have a 44 blaster that is 100% IOd and a 50 Rad/Rad Defender that I have been playing for almost five years. I built a second build for and started with IOs. Neither were ever refused for a TF, in fact the second build (team vs solo) was so strong that noone would have suspected she had IOs.
IOs are not necessary. If your friend insists on them there are many very good sets that are dirt cheap. I use them and know. The Touch of Lady Grey is an example. It has great bonuses and is all but free at WW. Using the IO sets for debuffs augmented by generics will do the trick. She doesn't need to farm to make her build. -
Quote:lol I remember the initial invasion. Watching all the untargetable rikti pile up and not able to do anythign to them until the streets were full of them.
Then the devs flipped the switch and all hell broke loose.
The Rikti are surely up to something, that is for sure. After all, they broke into the time capsule. -

I think I'm going to faint... Mothership?!?! THE Mothership?!?!
*faints* -
I remember the Old Hami raids and "no capes, no auras" costumes. I wonder how much it would improve lag if people did the same at Mothership Raids?
-
Hi folks! I haven't forgotten you! Real life has just been a bear of late and I've been out of town a lot. I was at the last two raids and it's time to get back into the game again.
Where: Rikti Warzone
Who: Heroes and Villains 35-50
Raid Leaders: @American Valor and @Steele Magnolia (Characters TBD)
Date: 01/11/2009 - Monday
Time: 9:00 pm EST -
Friendly opponents, no verbal abuse or insults. Just competitive fun and "good shot, you got me!" type stuff.
-
Welcome back and I love your signature quote. It's true and people often forget that, or don't seem to respect it.
I second what American_Valor said and hope to see you around! We would love to have you. And we do not say that often (only one non-friends/family-in-RL member in over 2 years). Send a tell to either of us, @Steele Magnolia or @American Valor for SG or channel or team or just to say hi. -
For those who don't know her, as she's not from Liberty, Critical_Kat is a wonderful person to work with. I worked with her in PERC for over two years. I highly reccommend PvPEC and Critical_Kat to those with an interest in PvP.
If Kat would come to Liberty I might even try PvP myself.... -
The Helen/Helsinger arc I wrote Dec 04-Feb 05 in Whitmoore Apartments.
A little cowriting I did (and a great deal of reading as a fan) with American_Valor for Tales of the Council.
Starting Paragon University with Citizen_Stu, writing Winter Kills.
The big blow-out arc and final fight with Citizen_Stu and American Valor for Simon-Says, Kid Valor, and Jack Stryker.
So many, many good memories and most of them as a fan reading my fellow writers' work. -
That's great! I would hate to miss out on the event.
I know how much fun it is, and how much planning, preparation, hard work, and follow through it takes to carry it off the way PERC does it - in style. This is going to be a blast, Liberty. Be sure to sign up for this. -
Fantastic news, Ice! I'm glad to see this.
Question: Can former members of PERC enter? -
Nice first post, little brother!
I am looking forward to seeing Croatoa, Dark Astoria, and Cimerora under UM, water and reflections too.
I would have more to say but I am typing this on a tiny Droid keyyboard. -
What I want is for the Rikti War Zone (firebase) maps to be fixed. As it stands now boss and destructables can be self completing because they can spawn on or right next to the firebase.
Choosing front/middle/back makes no difference, there is only one 'zone' for outdoor maps. For these maps that is a huge problem. -
Well done, Monster Smashers! We had a great time. We did three banner events, two zombie invasions, much pumpkin pie was had by all, and found Jack three times.
Thanks for the fun. -
Try these arcs:
DO levels:
Forget The Rose, Give Me The Thorns
Nuclear in 90: The Fusionette Task Force
SO levels:
The All-Seeing Eye
Operation: Discredit
Astoria in D Minor
Axis and Allies
King Amenhotep
Wholesale Soulsale -
Congratulations to Cheshire Cat. This is well deserved! I've played the arc and it is disturbing. It really captures the feel of Dark Astoria.
-
I saw it immediately and thought the same thing. Perhaps we play too much?
Naaah.... -
I played EQ. In EQ there were long duration buffs. People would stand around in a centrally located area and sell them. It was their biggest contribution... and not needed for teaming at all. I don't think that is the direction COH went or wants to go.
Four minute buff timers and you're complaining? I would love it if all my buffs were four minutes long. Have you ever played an empath or kin which have one minute buffs? My FF'er is easy as pie to play by comparison. Here's a little cheese to go with your... complaint. -
I wish I had been there... of course there would need to be a larger team size to make room.
-
Thank you, GEL and the Sisters, for a wonderful five years. It wouldn't be the same here without you.
That video makes me sniffly with memories. -
Quote:I agree with Tax E. You should treat others the way you want to be treated. I'll go even further, you should treat others with respect even if you don't care about that for yourself. It's simple human decency. If you can't do that... there's something wrong with you.
I will always take the stance that, yes this is a game, but it not JUST a game. There are people who play this game and this is their social outlet. Some are housebound for whatever reason and this is their way of socializing.
We've all said stupid stuff to one another and either moved passed it or ignored one another. Regardless of being text or not, treat those as you would want to be treated.
I'm one of those housebound. This is my social outlet. -
