as an update I got an email saying that my account had "ensured that your account had been cleared for inclusion to the current promotion". Sooooo, keeping my fingers crossed, but it looks promising!

Thanks to Diggis and Mousedroid for the replies. And no, I havent contacted support yet. When the ATM fiasco first happened it didnt dawn on me that the badge was part of the Vanguard Booster promotion, I thought it was the separate badge that they give out every May. I didnt realize until recently they were bundled together. That said I can try it, but some of the others posting here have indicated that hasnt helped them. So, I think I'll try that and hope for a good resolution, but if it doesnt work out *sigh* I am out of here.

Quote:OK, I think I am totally screwed here.......Define Active/Uninterrupted
Let's say your subscription gets renewed on 3/1. This is fine. As long as your account is active each day from 2/1 to 4/18, you're eligible. You'd be ineligible if say, you cancelled your account on 2/28, then waited until 3/1 to turn it back on.
I made a large withdrawal (for me anyways) from an ATM on a Saturday a couple of weeks ago. The problem is due to some technical glitch it did it twice, overdrawing my account. The problem was fixed by Wednesday of the next week, but of course my CoX main account was due on (you guessed it) Sunday. I was extremely busy that weekend and just mentally threw up my hands and resigned myself to having to buy the Vanguard pack instead of getting it for free. Annoying, but I can deal with that. Now as I understand it the Constant Badge isnt the version of the anniversary badge they give out every May, it's actually bundled with the deal with the Vanguard Pack? Is that correct?!?
I guess I need clarify something. I am a MAJOR badge junkie. I have always made sure I had my badge character on for every special event, every limited offer going all the way back to year one. Badges and a close group of friends are the only things that have kept me interested in CoX at points over the years Im losing IG friends over a RL relationship so now I find that it's a real possibility that I will NEVER be able to earn this badge because of a retarded ATM? Someone tell me this isnt happening? I suppose as sad as it is, if this is the truth my time here is probably done. I know that my stupid OCD badge fixation may seem shallow, but it keeps me interested and having fun. I hope it isnt as bad as it seems.....confirmation please? Are there any options? Or possibly will there be a way to earn it ingame down the road ala' the xmas badges from past years being able to be bought at current xmas events? I dont really care about the other stuff, just the badge. ill probably buy the vanguard booster if possible, but the badge is the dealbreaker for me. -
Quote:Yup! totally agree. And on the bright side, any new player who makes it through Praetoria is much less likely to become a level 50 perma-noob.
So far from what my personal experience (and the opinions of the posters here would agree on) is that on small teams and soloing is not obnoxiously hard, but challenging. Large teams though have to be well constructed and balanced as well as competently played to stand a snowball's chance. THAT I think is what everyone can agree on. -
Ok, thanks for the info guys. Special thanks to Adeon for those links. I did look in Wiki for that info but I guess my search skills aren't up to snuff. I appreciate all the responses and thoughts guys

Quote:Yup, that I did know, but I am collecting a bunch of +movement IO set bonuses like in the Winter's Gift set along with the commuter day job to try and max my movement out as much as possible. Also, just in case you were expecting something like this, the slows from Granite and Rooted are flagged unresistable, so the slow resist Unique won't reduce their effect.

Thanks for the replies guys, I appreciate the pointers -
Quote:Ahhhh, I didn't even think to look to see if it had a unique. Whoops.....Just FYI, Winter's Gift has a unique, so you couldn't stack the run speed bonus twice.
Well, I would still like to know. I may slot it in swift and leave my Jaunt Set intact in Teleport. The regen bonus may end up being worth it if I can get the swift close to cap. If not I will just throw it in TP
Thanks for pointing that out Julius -
I realize this is probably out there somewhere in the forum, but I couldn't find anything with the search function. I am tweaking my lvl 50 Stone/Stone tank and was planning on seeing if adding Winter's Gift twice (one in Teleport and one in Swift) would be worth it. I currently have 3 lvl 50 crafted non-set IOs in swift. I know that is over the cap and over-kill, but if I put in a set of WG lvl 35s it seems like it will be under the cap even with the +6% set bonus negating the main purpose of the second set (+ run spd).
Is there a thread somewhere with all the caps for powers listed on an easy to read table?
Thanks in advance for pointing me in the right direction. : )
PS, apart from the purples all my IO sets are 30-35 to maximize effectiveness when ex'd down with granite. So keeping at a max of lvl 35 is important. -
Well, it IS possible. I had a friend who tore up a Chaos Orb at a Con a few years ago. Yes, its only worth a couple hundred vs a Mox, but still....... It was actually a spontaneous publicity stunt he used to get a lot of attention for his vendor booth. Of course it worked! And it is also possible the poster here did it before the cards skyrocketed in price. I know I still mourn the fact I had to sell my power 9 before the price spiked
Those conditions aside, or something equally extradinary it was indeed foolish to do that. IMHO
