  1. Actually, I did not miss his point. My point was "Let him do his thing. Instead of following his advise to nerf the game, allow his actions to nerf any one's attempt to extort the rest of us out of our influence or money."

Economy is the governed by the concept of supply and demand. Let the ub3rl33t chinese gold farmers glut the market. The end result is that those players desperate enough for loot will be swindled for less.
  2. well, if the farmer PL ub3rl337 players of the world want to go out of their way to run a tf/sf/trial every 30 minutes in order to make influence off the tading houses, that just increases supply beyond demand allowing those of us who cannot even get a tf/sf/trial team to form or run in the time allowed. TYVM for allowing me to purchase that uber rare loot item for 5 Influence. Please continue with your style of play, but import it to Pinnacle. I dont have the time to get evrything myself.
  3. My level 28 Warshade is having a graphics glitch while in Nova form. After 5 minutes or so on the same map, my warshade's nova form suddenly looks very human. Other people on team with me confirmed that they too saw the human graphic flying around with nova attacks (the cone attack even produces a rifle to fire).

Two separate players I missioned with had this problem on Tues. They entered a map and would move around, but could not interact with anything, similar to some lag instances. The thing is, the character could type in chat and hold a conversation with the rest of the team while this "lag" occurred. Both players had to restart the game in order to fix the bug.

  5. specifically,
    1. story line (it took superheroes to get me back to online gaming after Diablo II)

    2. costumes (love being able to wow myself and friends w a new look)

    2. Bases (tied with cotumes. It is extremely cool to be able to actually design an aspect of the game that others can participate in, now if they just got unbugged...)

    4. Badges (I have something to collect after the xp ends, could live w/o these w true end-game content though)

    4. PvP (tied with badges. another form of end-game that is buggy)

    6. Mob types (I actually wish we had some free floating/unaligned villains to bust on. The closest we get to this is PvP. It would be nice to see a contact give entirely new PvE opponents that don't fit into any established group. We would have zero knowledge of what to expect until one of the uber-fans wrote up all new details on them. Basically missions where you arrest the people in the mayhem/safeguard prison breaks. Comic book villains usually attempt to form societies, but they almost always break up. I am extremely tired of fighting CoT after 50 levels)

*now if you had asked about power choices, that would definitely be tied with costumes. I would be EXTREMELY happy if the game added a new powerset (to both CoH and CoV) every issue and rotated them through the ATs (i9 gives scrapper/stalker, i10 gives defender/corrupter, etc - of course I can imagine the demands on which AT deserves the next hot seat for love but oh well nothing is perfect). And give us new ATs that mix/match stuff as seen from the hero vs villain ATs, and, and, and........

For those who are asking why no "PvE" selection. Everything on the list besides PvP is PvE. When you fight the mobs you are fighting vs the environment. When you read the storylines, you are reading about the environment. Badges come from the environment 90% + of the time. PvE is too generic a term for the poll. I think the Devs were looking to home in on which aspect of PvE you prefered.

For those wondering about the numbers. I see 2 sets beside each answer. I assume the large number = actual votes, and the small % number = percentage of votes. Guess this might be new since the poll was released
  6. Flight is the best for me. I helps me with video lag. I can set it and go potty.

AND if I could have 1 power in RL it would be to fly.

Ok so here's a question Lady_Sadako >.> I think you've got a good point here - but how do we make them more visible without running out of landscape nor having people in our bases when we don't want them there?

    [/ QUOTE ]

I don't mind having people in the base. It's not like they can harm anything.

I suggest an option to make the base publicly accessible, and a point from which we can enter all publicly accessible bases. For example, a 'visit base' button could be added to the list of SGs that the guy in City Hall shows you.

Cost isn't the issue nearly so much as exposure is, IMO. Why would people invest in something impressive if nobody else ever got to see it? To use a silly example, would people bother with elaborate costumes if other players had to arrange to wear special glasses in order to see them?

    [/ QUOTE ]

The base portal could be updated to include a SEARCH function similar to the player search. Open the window, at top it lists "Your Base" below are "your coalitions" last "search for SG base"

Another way to make bases more interesting would be to have a zone that displays various new building types to represent SG bases (I had hoped for this in the updated Faultline). Now add a bit of recluse Victory to the mix. Have each building linked to a spot on the top 100 SG list. As positioning on the list changes, the SG symbol on the corresponding Base changes. The Symbol could be over the door, on a view screen, or on a sign/plaque. Entrance into the base doors could possibly even allow access to the Linked base (probably more time consuming and difficult to code than worthwhile but its an idea).

As an alternative to the top 100 list, since new SGs have little chance to actually attain this, the Devs could host a monthly poll for best base design for each server. The winners could then be linked to the buildings. Limit fraudulent voting by tying the vote to account or character.

  8. hmm, all the members of my SG say they love my base design. I have previously allowed others to have editing priveleges, but most worry about messing something up. The editor is extremely touchy and I have been known to screram on vent and in sg chat while modifying it.

One of my coalition SGs allows all the core membership to edit. Still, only 2 players actually take the time. The addition of the teleporters to almost every zone andstorage and inspiration selling objects (healing badges) should have result in increased appeal for bases. My SG and my coalitions are constantly in my base.

One thing that could make the bases truly more appealing are more aesthetic design options and an easier inteface. Seriously, a lot of bases I have seen are just blah (usually because the designer gets frustrated w the editor)

Now, since I love showing off my base
