I ran pt 1 got a hero merit, immediately ran pt 2 got a hero merit, I would figure pts 3-7 would do the same... so by the time pt 4 rolls out, it would be 4 AM via SSA and 3.5 via tips, per week -

When you can explain how 1 hour is faster than 10 minutes, then you'll have a point. Until then, no, it's not "still quicker."
1 hour 7 times a week = 3.5AM per week
Thus I can get more alignment merits quicker by doing daily tips the from SSA's -

The relevance is this - you seem to be asserting that an AM is useless on a level 10 character. PVP-IO's show that this is wrong.
And a level 50 is not preferable for AM farming in the post-SSA world. You can get an AM through SSA in less then 10 minutes. Sure, you can only get one a week, but you can replicate this across a hundred characters. So while a 50 might be better for farming AMs serially, that's no longer competitive with massive parallelization through level 10's. -

by which time, unless they stop earning xp, they'd be at 20 and be able to affirm the alignment. and still doesn't stop a L20+ affirmed too doing the farming. -

I have to second (or third or fourth) this - I just wasted an SSA run on my L16 brute because they pulled this but didn't give you any warning in game - there goes one villain merit that character can never get. I used to like running the first SSA a couple of time in the teens as part of my levelling routine - but now I will wait until 20 at least.
Really bad change with no real purpose other than to screw folks over if they don't realize it - since you get NO warning from the contact that you can't get the better rewards. -

Logging round some alts today My GF and I noticed that the base portal, where a couple of your toons logged in at, weren't displaying the monitor duty day job, or Pres bonus day job power from having been logged out there for a week.
First noticed on Exalted and check to see if it was the same on Defiant, which it was. used the portal and even being in the base did not indicate the day job. Checked the portal in Skyway and Talos, which were working fine. -

At the end of Part 1, you said, "Titan Weapons are now available on Training Room. There it can be purchased for zero points, Training Room only, from the character select screen.". The market isn't up/working on the Training Room. Any ETA when it will be up?

Time limited event cossie items aren't a new thing, Just done a reroll of my namesake toon, a dark/dark scrapper, as a brute on Exalted, but have to wait till the christmas event for the finishing touch, the Naughty Aura. I've got one toon that could use the crows cce, I'll just make sure I unlock it with that toon.
I agree, it's annoying I can't just buy/earn it to unlock with all my toon, or, like with the Christmas event, trade in a special salvage, that I can farm with one toon then distribute to those that need it to buy what they need. -

Okay. This is what happened.
i sent in a petition, basically the stuff I wrote above. And asked if I was okay. First response said it was kicked upstairs and I would be contacted. Next day, the response said they would have to change it because of Starcraft, and asked for 3 possibles. I thought about it all night, and came up with three alternate names, sent them in. I didn't complain or anything, just said 1st choice, 2nd choice, 3rd choice. Got a response back, on further review I am okay.
So, Zerg exists, and is busy in the cities. I have decided he'll be my main for the next year, and I am gonna try to get that serious badge count on him. Big challenge for me since I normally brute. Hoverblastin', here I come. I have friends who are addicted to MO runs, so crazily enough those will be some of the easier badges to get. But I got a feeling I will be seriously challenged on getting some of these badges with a blaster, maybe I'm wrong.
Thanks to everyone for the lively discussion. It was an interesting learning process of trademarks, copyright law, and business decisions, sprinkled with a lot of that personalized opinions that make the boards so interesting.
As for badging with a blaster, my main/first 50, Neo Chamber, is a blaster and has 1032 badges so far, over 300 of those gained in the last month and a half after a year and a half break due to a flakey gaming rig. no MO badges yet, but they will come in time. -

Clipping happens. Denying us things that are already in the game and clipping because "they might clip" is a ridiculous excuse, and frustrating to boot.
In those very promo shots there is some painfully obvious clipping, and the dev's saw no need to protect their marketing demographic from it. It's just a part of the game. If new players can deal with it, certainly veterans can.
