Wow, I do like both of those ><;
I think I like the first *Slightly* more - but its a *very* narrow thing.
<@_@> Love seeing people at work on costumes, they're all so different and unique! >_<;; -
WOOT! >_<
Color is working out nice... colors aren't done yet of course; but here's a sneak preview...
Yumii - Flat Colors

Let's see if I can get it right this time.

Really nice Nymie! <^_^> I are duly impresseded! <^,^> Glad I saw this >,< -

This is the famous person....does it look to much like him?
Da pitt model
I'm going back to work on Shautru....
[/ QUOTE ]
I was right! <,< Mwahahahaa...
Well, I didn't know it was Pitt... but I've seen art styles like this before where you literally *work* off the figure of someone. I really love how it turns out when done right <^-^> its one of those unique types of art - you take something existant and make it something unique and special and totally different than it was.
>.> Plus it makes for some hella realistic looking faces. -
Yep <@_@> its the right link <'x'>;
Maybe I'm just seeing things <,<;; As a manga style artist; I tend to do BIG eyes... ... and these, while large, aren't quite as big as normal; on further looking though, I think you're right in that they aren't too low >.<
Still wish I'd done em a tad larger though >.>;; just a bit, not tons... its err, a fiddly bit <'x'>
Glad you like it >_<; So happy to get a response on this hehe <,< I've been kinda hopping around at home excited all night >.<;
The jaw thing I noticed too <~_~>; but I was hoping no one else would <'x'>; oh well, at least I got the neck proportion right this time >.<;; Next time I'll fix that!
Squirrel is excited and half asleep and rambly <~_~> thanks for the comments Graver, ya made my night! -
use the URL tags >.> the Img tags don't seem to work here hehe <;.;>
-
RAWR! <^_^> Ink version of my latest pencils! I'm pretty proud of it; though I'm a little annoyed at the eyes <;.;> They're drawn 'ok'; but they're too low and too small... not totally happy with their shape either.
But I'll let everyone else tell me what they think <,< When I finish; the color version will get its own thread.
Yumii - Inked!
<sigh> more I look at those eyes the more I wish I'd noticed the trouble before I inked <~.~> too late now I guess. I don't have any idea how I'd modify em enough in Photoshop; and barring using Whiteout (which I don't know how well that'd work) >.< blagh -

Here is a little more....think I'm donr for the night. Seeya all soon.

Ok everyone, after I post this please do not swarm me with art requests...
CuppaJo
Ok, so I have no art skills, but I wanted to do something so I did the best I could with good old Paint

That's actually pretty cute <^_^> -
For once - I'm going to jump at this opportunity <,<m

Oh >< I should give stats and such shouldn't I...
Natural, Katana/Regen; usually I have her in a robe actually; but I like her power harness alot >.> Name is Yumii
Uhm... I have a whole backstory but I'm not suspecting its needed <'x'> -
Ok >.> so I been working on my Cuppa Art... and I realized something.
My figure drawing is turning out craptacular <-.-> which is ruining my art.
But I don't want to do just another portrait <;.;> this is special and important!
Should I keep plugging away until I get the figure right? Or would a portrait be preferable given this case? /sigh I used to be good at figure drawing too <;.;>
Current poses - just in case people are wondering
A) CuppaJo meditating while hovering over... a giant cuppa coffe <,<
B) CuppaJo hovering over the cityscape (with a big cafe sign behind her)
C) Cuppa standing on catwalk overlooking what appears to be a huge mug >.>
all of these very very very preliminary without any details (why I didn't bother to scan em - they're not really worth anything yet)
But should I keep trying for one of those? Or should I be hitting portraitville? >.< I want to make sure this is done in time <;.;> and I wanna color it, which adds several days to how long it'll take. -

Oh no! I'm terribly sorry for both of you. I know when I lose my writing that way, it haunts me. Even after I rewrite it, I'm always certain that I had one brilliant sentence, a perfect moment of clarity, that I was never able to replicate in the second version.
I just chant over and over, "Computers make our lives eaier. Computers make our lives easier."
It was looking wonderful so far, Graver. I can't wait to see the finished version.
[/ QUOTE ]
I bought a brand new flash drive *specifically* for this purpose >< I have a history of computer problems and every time mine messes up - I lose my writing *and* my art <x.x>
Ever lose 2 novels in progress as well as something on the order of 20 artworks? <,< Then do it twice! (Granted - they all sucked <'x'> but they meant alot to me anyway!)
I hope you guys can get some good luck though <;.;> this blows. -

Looks very good!

I know exactly how you feel Lush, it's like you were just rapped.. It's sickening to have your work claimed by someone else. Even just an edit with out your permission.
I used to do random art for people. Until one person decided to claim my work as theirs and even got it into the fanart section in the comic (This was Section-8) Funny thing is. My Placid art was right beside it. Nothing I could do about it. I still want to do random art, but I'm still a bit hesitant about it.
I've had my signatures digitally removed and someone placed theirs were mine once was.
I don't even upload art anymore on Deviant without putting a big [censored] Watermark over it. Which seriously sucks because it ruins it.
I've confronted people stealing my work.
And I've had others flame a person for stealing my work. (I didn't sick anyone on a person, they recognized my work and had the person banned from their forum)
It really sucks. But it does happen. Luckily often enough people do get caught and legal action is something we have to fight them back.
It's just one price we pay for showcasing what we love to do.
I've had requests threw Deviant for people to use my art for wallpapers and what not, I'm very cool about that, Hell I tell them that "As long as I get to see it." When people send me notes to study a pose and draw from it, I reply "As Long as I get to see it." I mean I'm very open about people using my art for those type of things, Because they asked me, they asked for my permission.
I'll stop. I can go on for pages about this.
I wish you the best and whatever action you plan to take You have my support, both you and Gill.
[/ QUOTE ]
This is the kinda thing I've been terrified of for awhile with my own work.
I'm not good enough to be worth stealing from: Yet. >.< I intend to continue improving as both writer and artist; and I always get nervous about theft.
The website thing is terribly... well its in horribly poor taste - *especially* plagurising your ad (Which in fact, I believe you can take legal action against them for it - I'm not sure, and I'm sure its not something you want to do; but if you feel its serious enough... Plagurism is an all too common crime; and shouldn't be tollerated)
Err... I guess I've said all that before; but it just... sucks >.< still feel bad I aimed wrong with my first post though... I dunno why my reading comprehension is so bad right now. -
Just a quick sketch me did tonight >.> I'm not sure if I want to finish it in pencils, or go to inks and colors...
What do you all think of this? <~_~> I'm proud of it since it was only 30 minutes of drawing fury (sorry its so light >.> its done in 2h pencil)
Yumii - Possible Avatar?
This version is one that the CoX community has only seen from the back - ie: its based on the novel version of the character; rather than the CoX version >.> (Hence the scar on her face and the old clothes)
Anyways <@.@> lemee know whatcha thinkies! -

That's why I mentioned about the making the pages on my legal sized paper first, and all the related items... I got the point of the OP, and I got yours too...
Just acknowledging both opinions and giving mine.
