Exactly this. Mind if I borrow it for my signature?

One Flamethrower Ferret, decked out in the traditional green 'n gold!
-
Quote:He's Tech, his name is Flamethrower Ferret, and right now he's also sitting on a completely redundant 'Flamethrower' temp power he picked up while breaking up a Safeguard arms deal. And what is your Heroes source of fire?
Cause if it's Science,Mutant or Magic having direct control over what your fire burns is quite plausible.
For Natural and Tech it's slightly harder but somewhat doable.
For Longbow Flamethrowers there is no control over what the fire does evident only where it goes.
And let's not forget all the AR's who are also toting around flamethrowers. Its not just Longbow. -

I really shouldn't be jumping in at work, but...
Quote:In an interactive environment like CoH, part of the fun is coming up with your own interaction with the environment. There's nothing wrong with finishing up 20 in Praetoria and having your own belief in what Emperor Cole is - saviour, tyrant, giant chicken, whatever. There's nothing wrong and everything right with that. And we only get one of those two options.
For people citing 'motivation', I guess the following character shouldnt exist;
-Mindwiped Loyalist pawns
-Semi-controlled Imperial Agents
-Those who are as blindly loyal to Coles rule as Arachnos soldiers are to Recluse (We get to play one of them, after all)
-Clockwork. ANY Clockwork that are still obeying original programming.
There are, however, limitations inherent in the system. The devs can't account for everything - HE'S A GIANT CHICKEN I TELL YOU - there's only so much time and manpower available to put into the project. Thus they can only tell so much story at a time, and if they want to stay in business its pretty much going to be the story that will be appreciated by the greater subscriber base. Which brings us to where we are today. Barring any future curveballs, Paragon's devoting their development into the fight against Tyrant. Its the popular choice. Anyone who finished up level 20 in Praetoria still on his side has two options:
- Stay loyal, skip Praetorian task forces, and come up with own content in RP and AE.
- Find a way around your loyalty to Tyrant.
Oh, and with regards to loyalty to Recluse, the entire SoA storyline is about where your trooper becomes something more than just another mindless piece of Arachnos cannon fodder. Your ultimate victory will eventually be handing Recluse his own broken mask. -
Quote:Let me channel my inner Night Widow... OK, here we go.Cole (superficially at least) stands for something. Richter is just an anarchic lunatic with no clear ideology and his goal is "I want to rule the world."
"Listen to Recluse's speech at the entrance to Grandville. Look at the recruitment posters around the Rogue Isles. He does stand for something: Power, and obtaining it by any means neccessary. From where we're sitting, Tyrant is just a dictatorial lunatic who pays lip service to his happy shiny lawful ideology while his obvious goal is 'I want to rule the multiverse.' Not surprising its coming from an elseworld Statesman, really." -
Quote:It might not even be you you. Thanks to PortalCorp, we've discovered there's a lot of yous out there.I've said it before and I'll say it again: YOU are the Coming Storm. All the echoes in the first incarnate mission talk about how you have misused and gotten drunk on the power of the Well. The Coming Storm is a future where you, the player, have gotten too much power and destroyed everything.
That gives heroes a perfect opportunity to avert the Coming Storm, by learning humility and self-discipline.
...I'm kind of at a loss on how villains will prevent the Coming Storm, but I'm sure the story writers will decide on a motivation for us. -
Actually, it takes time and manpower too. If you want more pro-Tyrant content, its going to have to come at the expense of something else, 'cause its not like Paragon is swimming in resources.

Single Red-Orange Animatronic Ferret-Human (SROAFH) looking for fun and adventure!
You may have seen me on the popular cartoon "Captain Canine and the Planet Rangers" as the super team's resident confident and heroic teenager or as my own awesome self in action at Twelve Flags Over Paragon City Amusement Park!
You may have also seen me revealed as part of an evil plot before getting sackbeat by the Freedom Phalanx, but we'll talk about that some other time.
But now, you lucky heroes, have an opportunity to have your very own fire-flinging fuzzy tailed sidekick! The one and only FLAMETHROWER FERRET is now a fully registered All-American hero, and he's ready for action, adventure, a little romance, and yeah sure comic hijinks too if you want. Its not my fault trouble follows me everywhere! Or that I can't keep my mouth shut or my attention focused or myself from getting in over my head or... uh... is this thing still on? Crapcrapcrap-
Roleplayer (No ERP, he's from a children's show!)
Character Name: Flamethrower Ferret
Character Level: currently 25
Character Archetype: Fire/Fire Blaster
Character Alignment: Hero
Player Times: 6pm to 11pm Eastern weekdays, anytime on weekends, depending on work, real life, and other RP commitments
Looking For: Team, Roleplay, Friends, ADVENTURE!
Character Description: Still a bit of a work in progress, but its what it says on the tin. An animatronic ferret-human hybrid based off of an environmentalist TV show, created by Crey, rehabilitated by Positron and Citadel, and now registered as a full-fledged Paragon hero. Chatty, bouncy, fiery, and naive in only the way a teenage resident of the animation age ghetto could be.
Player Global Name: @SpyralPegacyon
Player PvP Preference: None until I work out the finer points of fire blasting.
